  • "First, this is the second time I have made reservations and they did not accomidate my seating request. The hostes gave me attitude when I looked dissapointed as they walked us to the very back corner of the dining room after I requested a patio table and I was entertaining VIP clients, very embarrassing. Next it took forever to get service, I almost went looking for out server! Then it took 15 minutes just to get water! They brought one of my guests his coffee and took another 15 minutes to bring the ice tea. FINALLY we asked if we could order, another 35 minutes and the eggs finally came, my Frittata was cold. no one was impressed. $85.00 for coffee and cold eggs. NEVER AGAIN."

  • "We had a family reunion trip in California, and made 1 reservation for a night out. The outdoor atrium seating was a lovely atmosphere. The cocktails get an A+ The food was exceptional - I recommend the agnolotti del plin, black truffle. I also recommend the amaretto tiramisu."

  • "Great scene. Good food. Tres chic. Cecconi's is an old reliable. One of the best for food and scene. While the patio is the highlight, any table in the house is great. Impeccable service."

  • "Only bad comment I have is I had a reservation for 8:15pm for my husband's bday-we weren't seated until 9pm. We had to rush through our food didn't order dessert so we wouldn't miss our comedy show tickets at 1030pm."

  • "One of my favorite spots for a breakfast. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent. Old school service items, like vintage hotel silver coffee pours make it great. I would highly recommend."

  • "Clean crowd, see and be seen. Nice staff. Prices of good are surprisingly cheap, but quality is high."

  • "Friends invited us to join for a double date. The food here is amazing, even for vegetarians. Atmosphere is very energetic. Cocktails delicious. Waiters provide very good service and, let's face it, handsome young Italian waiters can't help but enhance the dining experience. You cannot go wrong here."

  • "When I'm looking for something a little fancy and reliably great food I come to Cecconi's. The food is always divine and the ambiance is lively and beautiful. Great outdoor seating and usually good to excellent service. The food is a Californian take on Northern Italian cuisine which is right up my alley. It never disappoints."

  • "Loved the atmosphere... and the outside patio, although very warm, but beautifully done. Great for star sightings. I will say the restaurant is pricey, but good for business lunches (noisy though and terrible acoustics) and special occasions."

  • "I've been a customer of Cecconis for a few years now, and the only reason why I go back is bc I love the food. Always consistent. What is not always consistent is the service. This past Sat, I had the most terrible experience with our waiter. He was unattentive, unfriendly, rushed our orders, no eye contact and seemed like WE bothered him. Hence it was just my boyfriend and I. I was about to complain to the manager and now I regret I didn't. If I ever get him again, I will immediately ask to switch waiters. He made our time VERY unpleasant."

  • "I was disappointed in Cecconi's. My companion and I at lunch ordered, respectively, a salad with shrimp and a tuna tartar. Both portions were modest, especially the tuna tartar that was truly an appetizer and not a luncheon dish. There was no bread basket. On our way through the restaurant at the end of our stay I saw that the luncheon specials and formal entrees were really a better order, truly a meal and not a taste, which is what my companion had. I love salads and this one was good, but not great."

  • "Cecconi's is one of our favorite places to go for a fun evening in town. We love the location, setting, scene and food. My favorites are the Bellini's, Carpacio and truffle pasta. The perfect meal in a fun setting."

  • "It was my second time to Cecconi's, with a reservation. Both times, we were asked to have a drink at the bar while they set up/checked on our table. Both times, I had to wait with my party for at least half an hour before being seated. I made a joke to my friends about this being a bar trick for them to up their bar sales. If you're okay with waiting a long time when you have a reservation, the food and drinks are worth it although a little bit pricey. We had the truffle pizza, charred octopus, steak tartare and pasta bolognese, all were wonderful. Since it is a Hollywood scene there, I would recommend dressing up for dinner. It is not the type of place that will seat you if you come in in flip flops, a tshirt and shorts."

  • "stick to the happy hour menu, remember, you aren't coming here for the food, if you do want a full meal, as long as you don't mind completely tasteless food, then this is ok. If this were in the valley, it would be almost cute, but it is not."

  • "I saw on instagram that they were showing the world cup games so we went to Cecconis to watch Mexicos. The ambiance was great, 12 30, full of people. The place is very nice and I loved the food. The service a bit slow, although they were very nice, perhaps it was because of the game."

  • "We had dinner at Cecconi's on a busy Friday night... let me qualify this review with that. I have been to this location several times in the past and have had great experiences. If you go, make sure you ask to sit in the open air section out front. We were right next to the bar and had butts right in our faces all through dinner. Our server was given a large table right after we sat down. He literally forgot about us and I had to stand up and go find him to get our check. He actually apologized to me and offered a complimentary dessert. My advice - go there for brunch or go there on a less busy night."

  • "Cecconis has a lot going for it. For one thing it is a great looking place, modern without being cold or sterile. Then there is a great buzz and energy but not so much as to make electrifying and take you away from your table. The food does not fall short either. I had a delightful Dover sole and we shared a number of great starters. The best part was desert, I asked our waiter whether he would be kind enough to make us a chocolate pizza for desert, which was no where to be seen on the menu. He obliged and I will tell you, you have not lives until you have had one of these. Enjoy!"

  • "The tuna tartar, pizza, salad, eggplant parmigiana and Bronzino were all amazing. Also the profiteroles are a must for anyone who loves dessert!!"

  • "Been several times and always enjoy the food...went on Father's Day, not very crowded but service was terrible. Seemed to always be busy everywhere but around our table. We would have stayed longer eating and drinking....but could not get the waiters attention. When the. Manager came by we explained the lack of service, she then scolded the waiter within ear's shot of our table.....time to leave!"

  • "I frequently have weekend breakfast here and it is a delightful experience. I recently had dinner here to celebrate a good friend's birthday. Despite the crowded scene we were seated immediately in a relatively quiet spot and the service and food was excellent. They even wrote Happy Birthday on my friend's desert plate and added a birthday candle. This is my "Go To" restaurant simply because it can be counted on to provide a great experience. "

  • "Use to love eating here 3+ times per week mostly for breakfast but in the past 2 months it feels like the service is getting worse and worse every time. If the food was not good and prices so reasonable I would never come again. They need new management as well as have gotten good dishes and very poorly prepared ones. I always order the same thing and lately every time I order it comes out different."

  • "I'm from SD, which is a 2+ hour drive, and I chose Cecconi's for my birthday. Bad choice. It's a typical LA hot spot, dimly lit, pretty people, etc. The hostess remembered that I noted on the reservation "My Birthday," and we kept bringing it up to our waiter. I received no complimentary dessert whatsoever. The waiter, who clocked off without telling us, brought out dessert menus, and when we didn't want anything (because we were waiting for the birthday dessert) he just brought us the check. My friend complained, and the manager, who was as fake as they come, noted that next time we dine with them they will be more accommodating. We are not coming back. There was a hot bartender, and that is the only thing saving this review from "poor.""

  • "This was my 5th or 6th visit to Cecconi's and they've all been pretty good, including this one. The food was good and the portions were just right. We had the asparagus frittata, shared the crepes, and my friends had the green eggs and the kale salad--everyone enjoyed the meal. This visit was for a birthday celebration, which I noted on the reservation. I was disappointed that the birthday wasn't acknowledged at all-especially when the tables on either side of us both received little birthday desserts. We weren't looking for anything free and would have gladly paid for something special; we even acknowledged this to the hostess before ordering another round of cocktails and still nothing. Disappointing. Overall still a good visit. "

  • "It was a dark place we were seated and the noise level very high, the table was just in front of the door to the kitchen, so I want coming back."

  • "The food was great; the ambiance was NOT! We were seated in a comfortable corner but could not hear each other at all. The noise left one in our party with a headache, and she vowed to cross Cecconi's off her list of good eateries. I loved the chilled English pea soup but was also extremely annoyed by the loud noise. The owners should do something about this to keep customers happy!"
