A word from CBD Provisions
Located on Main Street in the heart of downtown Dallas, CBD Provisions is a spirited Texas brasserie that evinces the growing vitality of the central business district. Developed by Consilient Restaurants, this urban-rustic eatery features modern interpretations of Texas tavern fare from Executive Chef Michael Sindoni, who employs an artisanal sensibility and strong commitment to local and sustainably raised ingredients. CBD Provisions is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week, and serves a complete menu until midnight on the weekends. The Sunday brunch is not to be missed. Menu items range from buckwheat pancakes with local berries and bourbon barrel aged maple syrup for breakfast to BBQ gulf oysters with absinthe whipped lardo for dinner. The interiors, conceived by New York-based design architect Claudia Woods, are equal parts rich and raw-historic brick walls, bronze cabinetry, rustic wood beam ceilings, tufted leather banquettes and antique mirrors.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "I have been here several times. I recommend the Pig head for and adventurous group. It's enough for 3-4 or the Waygu Beef for a couple. I'm always impressed with the flavor of the food. The staff is always energetic, helpful and fun. There is not a bad seat in the house. It's a must for anyone visiting Downtown Dallas."

  • "My wife and I went to CBD because we heard about the Pig Head Carnitas and we were not disappointed. The carnitas are a great size for 4 people but we did some pretty good damage with only 2. The skin was nice and crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. If you love pork, I highly recommend it. Additionally, we had the pimento cheese toast, roasted wild mushrooms and house made shells. Everything was excellent and perfectly seasoned. For dessert we tried the peach cobbler which was perfect. The Texas peaches were ripe and juicy and the oat topping was crunchy. In addition to the wonderful food, CBD has some good beers on tap (many of them local) and some wonderful cocktails. I recommend the Good Word and the Sloe Park Swizzle."

  • "It was mediocre. It was quiet which was nice. The waiter was very good. I thought the menu was somewhat limited."

  • "One of the best restaurants in the city! The food and drinks are amazing and the service is impeccable. The atmosphere is just right for a private conversation, quiet enough where you can hear the person across the table, but not so quiet that the next table over can hear your every word. Every time I've been here, the waitstaff was great with service, checking up on us at the right intervals so as not to disturb us too much (same with the bar staff), but never letting a glass go dry. The hostess was gracious enough to accommodate our change in reservations from four to five guests the last time I went on a busy Saturday night. You need to come here yourself as no review can give this place justice."

  • "Great spot. Nice interior and noise level is not too bad. The food is wonderful and well priced for the quality. Easy access and complimentary valet parking. Our server was very nice and attentive without being intrusive."

  • "I typically like to try new restaurants but this was very bad experience overall. Starting form the menu that is very small and hard to read to not enough description. Service was not much of a help and not very personal. The food was worst I ever had no flavor or to much of hot or sweet. for example the pug tails was nothing but a hot chicken wing sauce taste, no taste of the pig meat, the snapper was over powered by the cucumber water and cucumbers, the desert was good had the peach cobbler and the banana pudding. I don't think I will be back again"

  • "I paid $25 for my steak frites--I ordered medium, was undercooked and very tough. I didn't send it back, but should have commented. My two girlfriends had a snapper that was very good, but almost too spicy to eat. My other friend had a salad w salmon maybe -?--she liked it. No alcohol and the check was $120. We had some iced tea. Well, we are good tippers anyway. We did not feel it was a good value and had been excited about trying this restaurant. Interiors are very cool, the whole place--The Joule--beautifully renovated."

  • "walking in to an open, exposed kitchen was a very nice way to begun lunch and this was only accentuated to another level once the food was brought. Certainly will come back when again in town."

  • "Straight and to the point: 1.We were sat at a table right at the entrance door to the kitchen or back area. The restaurant wasn't full. Several other tables open. 2. Sold out of the signature item at 8:30pm? Perhaps better planning next time. 3. We ordered two desserts, only one came. Didn't bother reminding our server for the second. 4. The family style steak we ordered was full of fat and mostly bones. Not worth the visit."

  • "The food is so full of complex flavors here, and nothing tastes the same as anything else. No matter how daring a dish may sound, order it! You will be pleasantly surprised."

  • "Reminds me of eating at a fancy ranch. Definitely recommend getting the goat pie as an appetizer as the meat was seasoned perfectly. If you can stomach it, get the Pig head carnitas. Meat was extremely tender and their corn tortilas are some of the best I've ever had. I do recommend starting from the back of the head and go towards to the front. The front apeared to have more fat than meat. But if you can't stand looking at the face of what you're eating (literally), then I say go for something else."

  • "Had a really nice lunch. Would go back. That's all I can say so I don't appreciate you requesting me to write at least 50 characters every time you ask me to write a review. If that is the case I will not write anything."

  • "Delicious food. Terrible service. I'm not sure if our waitress was overbooked but, along with a table next to us, we were the only tables constantly waiting for our waitress to come. The other table next to us had 2-3 wait staff ensuring his meal was well spaced and welcome. Apart from the service which hopefully was an anomaly, I would highly recommend CBD. The food was incredible; especially that english pea hummus. My wife and I ordered two of them it was so good."

  • "This was my first time at CBD Provisions - i needed a place for a dinner with some of my project team and CBD was both convenient to where we were and I'd heard lots of good things about it. It did not disappoint - all four of us really enjoyed our meals, the service was excellent, and I will definitely be back."

  • "Great food and the service was exceptional. We had both a brunch on Saturday and went back for breakfast on Tuesday, the last day of our trip. The food was fresh and the portions were enough. The food presentation was excellent and appetizing."

  • "My husband and I went to CBD for brunch (we had a reservation at 10) and arrived 5-10 minutes early. we were told that brunch wasn't served yet and could only order off of the breakfast menu for the next 5 minutes, the hostess would then bring us the brunch menu at 10 where were could only order off of the brunch menu (what?? why not combine the two or only do brunch for the weekend menu). I ordered an egg white frittata with greens and mushrooms -more like greens w/ a little egg white. It came with toast, and I asked the waiter if I could sub for something else (i.e. fruit, etc). He looked at me like he had never heard of a substitution before, told me I could hold the toast and order another side for $4.50. the potatoes were good though."

  • "3rd Time at CBD Provisions was excellent as always. Half hog head was delicious and tender along with an incredible presentation. Honestly, the only thing lacking at CBD is a well thought out dessert menu. It is lacking in this category more than any other."

  • "I first tried this restaurant for lunch a few months ago and loved it. This time the brunch menu on offer was much more limited and unappealing. We did our best to choose items we would enjoy, but two out of four items we ordered were far too spicy. Unless you like your food extremely hot, you might want to stick with the burger! We also enjoyed a side order of cremini mushrooms with grits."

  • "We went out there for Father's Day Brunch. I'm not sure if the Breakfast menu or Brunch menu is different, I recalled that it was. We ended up with the breakfast menu possibly because it was early in the day. I got the French toast, and hubby got the omelet. While it was well made and tasty, it wasn't something I would look back and crave. It just wasn't memorable. The rest of the menu (Lunch and Dinner) looks amazing so we'll certainly have to come back and try those."

  • "Hip urban setting with outstanding food and interesting cocktails. The noise level pretty much prevented any meaningful conversation at our dinner table. A warm welcome by the hostess was followed by so-so service by our server, who to be fair was probably spread to thin as we noticed him running from table to table. Wasn't one of those experiences where we said we can't wait to come back, though I wouldn't mind returning and sitting in the bar for drinks and snacks, but it will not be a part of our restaurant rotation. Great location, great interior design, great food but lacking that certain something that would drive us to return."

  • "CBD never disappoints! Eat the pimento cheese appetizer - even if you don't like pimento cheese. You'll be glad you did."

  • "The host tried to seat us at a table hanging in the walkway so we asked to move to one of the other 4 empty tables in the same area. He left us awkwardly standing there while he went to ask. Our server, Channing, was charming. But honestly, the only dish that sticks out in my mind was the special "toast" of the evening which was outstanding. The banana dessert, too, was yum. But our mains were slightly unremarkable to the point that I don't remember what I ate!"

  • "Everything from the interior design, layout of the entire restaurant, ambience, attention of the staff and food was impeccable! Great place to go kna double date for couples who like to explore and try some different style foods. Highly recommended."

  • "Most everything that I had at CBD Provisions was so on point. From the highly recommended Texas distilled bourbon to the butcher's cut over drunken pintos and sauteed kale to the grand finale of carrot cake bread pudding, I was tantalized and satisfied. The only downside was my appetizer - pork rinds. I am allergic to the citrus seasoning and asked for alternative. They arrived crisp and airy, but seasonless and unflavorful. Other than that, I will be back to try other items on the menu. This was a great meal."

  • "The purpose of this meal was to try the Pig Head Carnitas. It was a popular choice as 2 others were visible from our table. While I would caution the squeamish over the visual aspect, this is truly a taste treat one needs to enjoy. It is extremely tender and flavorful, but VERY rich as well. Best to have it as a meal for 4, or better, as an appetizer for 8 as a neighboring table did. The accompanying tomatillo salsa was especially good. They tend to sell out so best to reserve one at the time you reserve your table. It's not to be missed."

  • "Loosen your belt buckle and come ready to eat! The menu features an amazingly delightful spin on the food items Texas is known for. The chile was amazing. Their spicy ranch dressing with the fried chicken will make you rebuke every other fried chicken that you have ever consumed in your life. The pig head requires advance notice to the restaurant so that it will be cooked by the time you arrive. A true crowd pleaser. The artistic design was subtle and inspiring. Would definitely return."

  • "We expected CBD to be good based on other reviews. The wine list was VERY limited (only 2 pinot noirs on the list), service was slow, and most importantly the food was not good. Our wing appetizers were on the verge of burned. The steaks were so heavily salted that you couldn't tell what you were eating. We won't be back."

  • "Had a great lunch with a coworker here. The service was excellent and the place looks fantastic! The food was really fun to try (all different kinds of fun local things) but what I had didn't really blow my mind. Still a fun outing, and I'd recommend it. "

  • "We were dining at the conclusion of a long sad day. Food was good, butchers cut steak just OK but that may have been the cut of beef. Shrimp great, pasta great."

  • "I really like this place. We've been there twice for brunch/lunch on Sunday and one weeknight dinner in the bar. EVERYthing we've eaten has been super. Very fresh produce and well executed. Even the toast is awesome! I love that they have taken care to keep the noise level down, it is a very pleasant dining experience, but still has a cool energy and vibe without having to shout to your date.Nice to have a high-quality, a cool place downtown."

  • "Marvellous food but "red wine by the glass" list disappointing."

  • "if you are a pork-a-holic you will love this place. i did not feel the menu was as "accessible" as it should have been in order to sustain itself as a "hot spot". I will eat anything and everything but had to work hard to find selection of items for the group I was with to keep them all happy. This is definitely a "foodie" place, but i think they need to diversify the menu in order to sustain itself…..."
