  • "Great food. Great service and great location! Good for gluten free option!"

  • "I found this restaurant through open table and decided to give it a try. Was very happy overall. The place is very nice, friendly staff, great food. The only bad thing I can say is that when I looked at the menu through open table, it showed a lot of vegetarian options. But once at the restaurant, there was really only 2 options to choose from."

  • "While the decor of the restaurant could be more enticing (the art work on the walls was not that great), the food is quite yummy, and reasonably priced."

  • "The food was quite delicious at Cazbar and was prepared very quickly. We had 3 different people waiting on us. I know they are trying to be attentive but it really felt bothersome and rushed. It's annoying when you are trying to have a conversation with someone and there is a constant interruption. It really feels like they are trying to rush you. I like to take my time and enjoy my food. We ordered drinks, and then ate a main dish and dessert, paid and left in under an hour."

  • "My friend recommended that we go to Cazbar for our annual birthday dinner. We dined at 5pm. The place was sparsely occupied throughout our experience. We shared an appetizer, entree, and dessert. My friend chose the menu - combination plate of hummus, yogurt spread, and a spicy lentil type salsa; roasted eggplant entree, rice pudding for dessert. The appetizer plate was very tasty and served with a wonderful bread. The entree was equally tasty. The rice pudding was delicious. Here is the downside to our experience - the server. As I said earlier the place was virtually empty. Before our appetizer was finished, she brought our entree to the table. Dessert came quickly as well. She was pleasant but seemed to want to rush us. Will return."

  • "The food was very good and we enjoyed our meal. The wait staff was efficient and knowledgeable. The restaurant is small and clean."
    Dined on 7/14/2014
  • "We found the portions to be small. The main course was advertised as a stuffed eggplant. What came was a slice of eggplant with a dollop of filling. The side salad that comes with entree, was three bites. The flavorings were wonderful, just not enough food for price."

  • "We were in Baltimore for a few days and were not expecting anything interesting restaurant-wise coming from NYC. Pleasantly surprised by this little gem that reminded us of out trip to Turkey last year in a quite authentic way."

  • "Excellent service all round. Our waiter was a very professional and checked on us periodically. Food was absolutely awesome and even though I missed the belly dancers, I'm definitely going again."

  • "We came here after purchasing a mystery date night Groupon so we didn't know what restaurant the Groupon would have us go to. The ambiance is great, the food was delicious and the staff was fun and attentive. We had never had Turkish food before and was just blown away. I highly recommend this place and to do a late dinner on Friday/Saturday night so you can be there for the belly dancers. So much fun!!"

  • "Great food--even people from our group who had lived in Turkey loved it. The staff was also great. We started with a reservation for 6, but a few hours before dinner the list kept expanding. I kept calling to expand the reservation and the restaurant eventually accommodated 14 at one table. The service was quick and friendly."

  • "I was looking for a restaurant where I had not yet dined and this one seemed to fit the bill. Much to my surprise it was adorable! Small, intimate setting right on Charles St. with delicious food. The noise level was moderate, especially given the fact that the tables were close to one another. They had valet parking and great service. I will definitely go back!"

  • "Food and service were both great. Loved the manti and doner kebap."
    Dined on 6/11/2014
  • "We really enjoyed our first visit to Cazbar. We loved the Manti appetizer. I had the kofti kabob, which was nicely spiced. My husband enjoyed the ground lamb kabob (can't remember the name). Prices are a little high, but the quality of the food is worth it."

  • "I had never had Turkish food, what a nice treat. We had the sampler plates and honestly everything was delicious. It was easy to get to and parking was also easy. The ambience made it easy to have a conversation with my companion. The apple-pear martini was perfect too. The wait staff was attentive without being overbearing."

  • "My husband and I used a groupon that required us to order the Sultans Platter. After informing our waitress that my husband and I were vegan, our waitress was extremely helpful in accommodating our needs. She knew the ingredients in every dish and was able to tell us which items were vegan. We were able to eat the entire first course without any changes (accidentally vegan!). Since the main course of the platter is a variety of meat kebabs, she arranged a main dish of stuffed eggplant and mixed steamed vegetables. The only loss was the dessert course as butter is used in the baklava. Even so, the food was all delicious and we were very impressed. The portions were huge and could easily have served 3-4. We will definitely come again!"

  • "I have never had Turkish food, so when I saw a Groupon for Cazbar, I thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad that I did! The food was fantastic, especially the moussaka. Our server was attentive and friendly, even after we told her that we had a Groupon, and that does not always hold true, I've found. The decor is very appealing and the noise level was low enough that conversation was never a problem. I would definitely go back. And to think I never would have tried this place without the Groupon!"

  • "When I looked at the menu, before I had tasted one bite, I already wanted to plan my next visit. There are so many items that sounded great. When the food came, it was as good as I anticipated (maybe even better). Try the soup! And the kebops! And the mezes!"

  • "Doner Kebab is AMAZING. I've tried many of Cazbar's other dishes, and I have yet to be disappointed in terms of food. I booked Cazbar for a party once and was very annoyed by the service. We were supposed to be given champagne, etc. We were entirely forgotten about. We showed up and we're taken to an upstairs room. It was July, the air wasn't on … none of the things promised actually happened. That experience kept me out of Cazbar for a couple years. I will NEVER book a part at this venue again. But the food is very good and if you're just stopping for lunch of dinner it's an easy-going atmosphere."

  • "It was our first time to Cazbar, we made reservations for 8:30 so that we could catch the 9pm Belly Dancing show but 9:15 came and no belly dancer, 9:30 still nothing. We ordered another hot meze, which was (sadly) delivered to the wrong table (next to us) but we noted our very attentive waiter catching the mistake and remedying it right away. Mistakes happen, it's how they're handled that makes a situation better...he handled it well. At 9:50 we were finishing up our meal and had decided we would order dessert and coffee....and at 10pm, we got the belly dancing show! We would return to the restaurant, preferably with a group to try more dishes and catch another belly dancing show. "

  • "Great spot for dinner in Baltimore. Food was outstanding and very creative."

  • "We returned to cazbar after other visits to celebrate a birthday and use a Groupon. Every course was amazing...particularly the "lamb 3 ways". Our waiter was very attentive and knew a lot about the menu and wines. I can't wait to go back for more lamb. Side note: the lamb chop mezze was great but a little pricey. It's much more worth your money to get the 3 ways. "

  • "Outstanding - great food - I would highly recommend to friends and family."

  • "This was my first visit to Cazbar. They have a good variety of hot and cold meze. I tried both the Saksuka (diced eggplant sautéed with peppers and tomatoes) and Ezme (chopped tomatoes with pomegranate dressing and hot peppers). Both were very good. In the hot meze, tried the falafel and hummus. The falafel was good, but I felt it was not as flavorful as those I have had elsewhere. (Perhaps the big size of the falafel was an issue.) The Turkish coffee was somewhat disappointing in that it was not flavorful; but it was presented well. The bread here is also very good. Overall the ambience and menu were good. The staff is very helpful without being intrusive. Definitely a place worth visiting with friends or on a date. "

  • "We sat in a window seat which is great for watching people walk up and down Charles Street. A mid-week early dinner and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The service was great and the food was spectacular. I would recommend this for any time."
