The servers are spot on, friendly, and fun (they gave my gf a rose before we left, nice touch to a good night) I did feel it was a bit too bright inside at night ( I like a low light ambience when I'm drinking wine and eating appies) Overall it was a great experience

It's not a bad place to try tapas-ish stuff, price is reasonable too so it's worth a try.

The Cavino has inside seating as well as walk up service. I loved how the team worked together, the service itself was attentive and cheerful, and the flavourful creeps were delish. Definitely recommend !

  • Cafe by Day & Wine Bar by Night

A small cafe by day and wine bar by night tucked in the hotel of the Marriott Residence Hotel. If it wasn't for my coupon I would have never known this place was here. It has a quiet wine bar feel with flat screen TV's all around. We saw families there so this place also caters to people with children which I think is great. It was a great spot to stop and have a flight of wine, cheese and charcuterie before a night on the town. The selection was good! Overall, we enjoyed our food and wine here.

I went to have supper, thinking this to be a restaurant-it turns out to be a hotel associated bar with sport TV screen to boot. The menu is very basic, very little choice and everything seems to be enhanced with "garlic toast".

I don't really know if this place is a restaurant, lounge or something else but the food is very average at best. I ordered the lasagna which was small and quite tasteless, it seemed to be tossed in a microwave before it was served. Service was decent but I would definitely not go back here again for another meal.

  • Great food, cocktails not so much

We ordered two cocktails and we couldn't drink them because they were the worst I've tried, however they took our drinks and didn't charge us for it. The food was delicious!!! Overall if we would guess the right cocktail from the start or go for wine this would be 5 out of 5, but have to give it only 4 starts. Anyways, really good place, just don't order "Cold Cucumber" cocktail haha.

  • Is Cavino a serious restaurant?

Not sure if the staff realized we were there on an Open Table reservation. We were staying at the hotel, and had booked for 6:30. However, the evening social hour was still in full swing with free pizza and other food being chaotically consumed by family groups. Not really a restaurant atmosphere at all. We did order some food, and it was pedestrian.

Went for dine out Vancouver, service was outstanding. Truffle butter popcorn was yummy! Appetizer (hummus) awesome! Dessert tiramisu and cheese plate fantastic. Spinach & Ricotta Canneloni and Chicken/ Mushroom Agnolotti was good. Wine pairing was good and prices very reasonable. Nice quiet restaurant, clean modern decor!

Nice space, perhaps could dim the lights just a bit. Food was salty. Soup was salty, steak was salty. Others at the table enjoyed their meal as they were able to accomadate vegan options. Salad was excellent as well the tiramisu. Not bad, however better suited for business dinner/lunch.
