Cavatappo GrillExcellent authentic ItalianExcellent authentic Italian food, served in a comfortable environment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to return!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Neighborhood FindMoving to Yorkville in a few weeks so we decided it was time to scope out some go-to spots. Started with Cavatappo Grill and was very happy we did. Service was great, as was the food. I had an arugula salad with goat cheese and a yellowfin tuna entree, done to perfection. My guy had the portobello appy and a veal entree (not sure which one) which he did not even need a knife to cut. There was a fairly large party near us but the noise level and the service was not negatively effected in any way. Will definitely return and highly recommend.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCame with a group of 13 forCame with a group of 13 for a birthday, food was great as was the staff. I had the Lamb shank and Isreali Cous Cous and it DELISH!!! I followed it with the Blueberry pie with scoop of vanilla ice cream!!!! If you go toe Cavatappo Grill for anything YOU MUST TRY THIS DESSERT!!!!! It is also a Kid friendly restaurant so that is always a plus if you have little ones. Not so much in the food department because there is no kids menu however they have accommodating seating.
They also have an extensive wine selection! the Moscato is YUMM YuMM!

Each time has been enjoyable, affordable and the food was great.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed an early dinnerWe enjoyed an early dinner here before a concert at a nearby venue. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful, especially important as one of us must eat gluten-free and this is an Italian restaurant. The tables are close together but there was a nice energy about the place with the eye-catching, bright red walls and framed corkscrews and wine paraphernalia as primary decors. The mushroom risotto was one of the best I've ever had, and the seared tuna in ginger sauce was delicious. An impressive selection of cheeses caught our eye and we finished the meal with the creamy, lightly carmelized creme brulee. Will definitely return although we do not live in NYC and will have to plan ahead to include dinner here in our next visit!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
