Wish the food was better. Really want a great dining experience in Bay Harbor Village. Have gone many times hoping the food will be like Its other owned properties in the area. Please work on it.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at Cava this past Saturday evening. We arrived early for our 7pm reservations and were still seated immediately - though we would have been perfectly content enjoying a drink on the outdoor patio. The waitress was very friendly and added to the great experience we had at Cava. The noise level was quiet when we arrived and the volume did increase, but we were always able to comfortably talk with each other. We shared a Michigan Roll and a bottle of wine and our entrees (his the beef, mine the whitefish) were both delicious. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a beautiful evening out while we celebrated our one year anniversary.

In Michigan the town of Bay Harbor and neighboring towns are considered to be UP NORTH. Great country and this is a great restaurant. It has it all, great view of harbor, great food and service, and up scale building. Fresh water fish is what you want to order with local veggies. It never gets any better. A bit pricey for this market, but worth every penny.

pedestrian wine list, boring tasteless food, untrained service.the only positive thing about this restaurant is their location. This was the 3rd time we've eaten there, each time it has gotten worse. We will not be eating there again.

If you find yourself in the small area of Bay Harbor Village after 9 PM this is the place. Other than driving to nearby Petoskey, this restaurant has dining, bar, and a view of the marina. Not "bar food," the cuisine is varied with steaks, fish and even burgers. Limited deserts are available, but tasty.

Had not been to Cava for several years because of disappointment with food during last 2 visits. Went with a group of 8 including 2 toddlers. Service was great and food very good; much better than in past. Glad we tried it again - won't hesitate to return.

Cava continues undergo changes. It now bills itself as "local organic food", but their menu is limited. Better for their small plates rather than full dinners. No crowds the night we went due to cold weather up north. Hope they continue in Bay Harbor.

And the food is excellent. Lots of good views from both indoors and outdoors. Chicken and a biscuit was really good. The pizzas are always good. We actually were there two nights in a row. Meatballs were awesome, red snapper really good and to top off dinner, the Hummers are to die for!

We went on a Friday night during the slow season in Northern Michigan. There were only two or three other parties in the restaurant while we were there and there was only one server for all the tables and the bar area. There was a limited menu available as well. Despite this, the items we did order (margarita pizza, mushroom pizza and meatloaf sandwich) were delicious and the service was quite good. Cava is much more lively and exciting during the summer, but to experience its "quiet side" was well worth the trip.

We visited Cava during the winter months and there was only one other family there. The menu was limited. Apparently, according to the waitress, the menu is more varied in the summer. We will try it again this summer when, hopefully, there are more people there. The food was good (pizza and chicken) and the goat cheese/orange salad with poppy seed dressing was really good! I just prefer a restaurant to have a few more people in it.

Nice " neighborhood" restaurant in Bay Harbor with good ambience that is casual but upscale at the same time. the menu has something for everyone and includes more expensive entrees (steak, fish) and some less expensive ones (pizza, burgers). The Caesar salad is one of the best I've had. We consider Cava a "go to" place when we want to be out for a nice dinner but not overwhelmed with something too fancy.

If you are in the Petoskey or Harbor Springs area, Cava is a must location for dinner. The food is prepared and presented wonderfully! This time I had their goat cheese salad and a small steak. The steak sat atop a mixture of fresh creamed corn, minature potatoes and a touch of cornbread. The entrees are definitely meant for people who enjoy truly fine food. My husband had one of the specials, beef wellington and started with the wedge salad. His selections were excellent as well. Kudos to the chef.

This is our 4th trip to Cava at Bay Harbor. We have been so pleased with the exciting menu, beautiful presentation and unique flavors! The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. We have gone with our 4 children and been treated equally well. I highly recommend a visit to Cava if you are in Bay Harbor! We will be back next time we are in town.

Love Cava! Nice and quiet in the winter- energetic and lively in the summer. Great bar area, pool table, evening entertainment. A few slips in the menu but mostly great. Pass on the seivich- they have ruined what started out in the winter as a great item.

The edamame is good, the shrimp ceviche is not--unless you like mushy shrimp. Salads are good but inconsistent from week to week (we frequent bay harbor and prefer the atmosphere compared to The Knot) Being frequent diners there in the summer (don't go in the winter! The menu is pared down to nothing and it is FREEZING) we would really like to see the menu change--it has been the same same same all summer long. Since I don't care for seafood or red meat, it would be nice to have a couple of pasta/vegetable dishes to choose from. It seems to be a tired NM staple to have the typical fish and meat; Cava doesn't attempt being adventurous there. Music outside? That area is underutilized. an awning would improve it alot.

Cava was a pleasant surprise! A friend recommended we go there for our anniversary dinner and we are so glad we did! The sushi was pure perfection. The goat cheese salad was the best salad I've ever had. The "beef," as they call it, was a very tender and delicious steak. On top of everything tasting incredible, the presentation was lovely as well. We will definitely be returning to eat here for our next special occasion.

It was one of those evenings where each one of our group of 5 wanted something else to eat. "Great pizza.", "Fish.", "Fun for drinks.", something spicy." We were thrilled how friendly, but still sophisticated, the setting and staff. Newton Chardonnay was delicious. Sushi outstanding! Everything was terrific. Thanks, Tom and Candice. (?)
