"My husband and I had friends in from out of town who were staying at the Thompson hotel so for dinner we decided to just head to their restaurant in the lobby: Caulfields. The restaurant is huge and very nice. We were a pain because we went from 4 people to 6 but the manager and server didn't miss a beat and were very accommodating. The food and service were both excellent-especially for Beverly Hills, and overall I would definitely recommend it to others. We will definitely be going back!"

"Kale that came with my salmon was far too bitter to enjoy eating. Seemed marinated too long? The short ribs ravioli my date had was WAY too bland- she ended eating half my meal to compensate. On top of that, the key lime pie was too sour/tart to enjoy eating more than one or two bites.

On the other hand, my salmon was good, and so was the coffee that came with dessert."

"The food was really yummy (we stuck to a variety of small plates along with tasty brussel sprouts and roasted cauliflower sides), but the restaurant feels like it has a bit of an identity crisis. The decor is part bad hotel breakfast room (the front area) and part old school NY booths (the bar/back area). There were 4 guys behind the bar but seemingly only 1 that could make drinks. I'd recommend it for the food + locationbut these days, there are so many other options it's a bit of a maybe."
