The food was good but not exceptional. My friend and I both enjoyed our evening out. The Chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream is to die for. I will dine here again."

  • "I really wanted to thank Ivan and his staff for accommodating my special request for my father and brother's reservation I made for them on Father's Day. I live in Nevada and could not spend Father's Day with them, but I wanted to do something nice for them to show them my love and appreciation by making a reservation for them and paying for their tab via phone. Ivan, the general manager granted my special request and I can not thank you enough. My dad and brother had a wonderful time and dinner. You all are amazing. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much that means to me. In addition, they said the food was great!"

  • "I have gone here before and it is normally ok. It's an average steak house with average food and service. This last time our service was appallingly. After we finally got our food whe did not see our waitress for over an hour, to include hitting a point were only one child had water left to drink cause I gave them what I had left. The rest of our other 4 drinks were bone dry. We manage to choke down the rest of or dinners and the I sat an stared at the managers and hostess at the host stand. 15 min of that at a different person asked if they could take our plates. We asked them for drinks and that person was the one who refilled them. "

  • "The food portions are smaller. Not as good as it used to be. Would not recommend. Very expensive for the amount of food you get. Our mac n cheese was very greasy and oily. Salmon was very dry. Was expecting better food. Very disappointed as we went out for my birthday."

  • "This was my first experience dining at the Cattle Company. This place seems a bit dated. It was roomy and we were seated at a booth that could fit four. The menu was limited and the prices were high. It was about $20 for my roast chicken. Entrees come with two sides, and I got broccoli and green beans. Both portions of those were on the small side. It came with two chicken breasts which were the size of one split in half. Everything came out cooked nicely. The whole place was pretty dark Im assuming to give atmosphere. The waitress was nice and for the most part made sure our drinks were filled until the bill was paid and we wanted to hang out and talk a while. Then we were treated like we didn't exist."

  • "My boss took me to lunch for administrative assistant day. He asked me to decide where to go, and I immediately picked Cattle Co. because I have been a regular customer since the 70's. In these modern times, it was a piece of cake to reserve a table on-line. When we arrived, the hostess had the on-line reservation, and we were seated immediately. Our waiter greeted us quickly and brought drinks and took our order. Our meals arrived soon after with no problems. The food was the same quality as I've enjoyed all these years. Our waiter checked in with us periodically and brought our check without having to ask for it. We were able to pay easily at the table and got back to the office within an hour. "

  • "We have had better service here in the past. Some of the wait staff did not know where the food was to be serviced. Not sure if the chief was new or did not know the new menu item. I ordered the Grilled Vegetable Salad with Grilled Chicken and the dressing on the side with out the corn. There was corn on the plate and they forgot the avocado and tomatoes. The salad was Okay but plain. I would have liked to try it with the avocado and tomato. As the service was a bit slow did not want to send back my meal as it was a working lunch. Would have second thought about choosing them again for our next lunch. Normally the service is much better. Please make sure the employees are well trained before letting them work with your customers."

  • "I have been to Cattle Company several times but tonight they were off their game. My friends steak was overcooked (well done instead of medium rare) and it took over 20 minutes for them to bring a replacement. My other friend waited over 15 minutes for the A1 steak sauce. Then one of the desserts was completely raw cookie dough. Usually they do better than this. But I guess all Anchorage restaurants are hit or miss. Consistency seems to be greatly lacking in this town!"

  • "Every time we have been to the cattle company, we leave very happy. This time, we had dinner with a friend, and brought our 2 year old, and we were there almost 3 hours and the server was very great. He was ontop of everything and very friendly. The tables have decent space between them and that's one thing we love about the place as well. It adds privacy and quietness, making it a nice place for a family. There is a bar area if that's more of what you are looking for. I have only ordered steaks, but they are great. Plus, I love their bread they serve :) I highly recommend this place."

  • "Hey, my family enjoys the campfire feast. We usually get great service and good food. But this time it took 20 minutes to get water and 30 minutes to get our salads. And with a one-year-old four-year-old and seven-year-old when they didn't bring bread or the appetizer sampler platter until 35 to 40 minutes of us arriving it was fairly difficult."

Service was timely, we were not forgotten by our server. Didn't care for the mud pie ice cream cake we had for desert, but that's down to personal taste.   • "Service and food were off tonight. Mom asked for burger, no cheese, well done. Got cheeseburger. Mistakes happen, no biggie. Rushed out replacement burger, no cheese, but medium-rare and cool. Staff responded as cooly as rare burger. Rest of service was adequate. Ribs were great. Busy night but that's no excuse. Service and food usually much better."

  • "Special occasion bummer! Our family has several dinners a year at this location and are typically good to great! We usually are a group of 8 to 13. They seat us back in a good space that is fairly quiet. We had two servers for a group of 11. Although friendly and responsive when we asked for specific items, they were terrible about maintaining our on going experience. Appetizers were brought out timely and then it went downhill from there. Entrees were no longer warm upon arrival. We were left unattended for long periods of time, leaving beverages empty and empty plates piling up. Several diners finally got up and went to get beverage refills on their own several times. Won't give up on the place but will reconsider for next event."

The entrance was so crowded with people waiting that you could barely move once they did finally call your reservation. Once seated, our server was good and the food delicious, but the waiting to get seated really brought the night down."

  • "The food and service was excellent. Our only complaint was on the open table reservation. When we got there they had no reservation for us, even though we made the reservation through open table. The hostesses were kind enough to get us a table anyway. We did show them the e-mail confirmation on my cell phone. That was a little embarrassing when they said they had no reservation for us, but they were very respectful and accommodating. They suggested that the next time we book through open table, we should call them to confirm. I told them we would just call them and make a reservation."

Something has changed because the last 3 times, the service was poor, our steaks were over cooked or under cooked, ordered mushrooms on top of steak for $2.99 extra and got 3 nickel sized mushrooms on top, yes, just 3 mini mushrooms. Our waiter kept disappearing and we had to flag someone down. They forgot to bring our salad altogether! It all needs to be improved! Re-thinking going there anymore!"

Service seemed to be slightly slow but not bad. we placed our food order and while the steaks were cooked to the current doneness they were all extremely dry. They were not hot nor where they cold.   • "The music was Xmas music, and too loud...........and was on the 29th of December, Christmas was over, but we couldn't talk. Had to ask them 3 times to turn the music down. The food was ok, but I could get a better steak at another restaurant......Prices ok but kinda high. It had been many years since I had been in there, and it has changed...........from the beginning of it. Used to go there a lot."
