  • "The food was amazing. I had the lemon blueberry feta buttermilk pancakes, I highly recommend them! We went for brunch and just about everything on the menu looked delicious. The bacon is a giant slice of meat. I mean literally a slab of meat. It was awesome and delicious. The décor was beautiful. They had gorgeous flowers in mason jars. They even had them lining the walk way as you approached the door. It made me feel like we were walking down a wedding isle. All in all it was a very cute and unique place to have some amazing food. We will definitely be going back!"

  • "I went to Catherine's with a friend and thought the service was friendly and fast. We shared the scallop appetizer which had 3 scallops - I always feel appetizers should come out in multiples of two!! But it was very tasty. We then ordered the special entree which was a lovely sea bass with jumbo lump crab on top. I thought it was delicious and my friend and I ate every bite. After the entree, we weren't full yet, so we ordered dessert. I'm not sure if they make it in house, but the cheesecake was one of the best pieces of cheesecake I've eaten. I would definitely go back again even though it was slightly pricey, but it was worth the price for the quality of food. It's just not a price level I could go to on a weekly basis."

Wonderful mushroom soup, great goat cheese salad, tasty Chinese 5 spice pork chop that was a treat to the palate, and tender beef short ribs. Add in a piece of key lime pie and fine service and it made for a lovely meal. Can't wait until the patio opens."

We went once just the two of us, a month later we brought some of our good friends there for a group dinner, and then a couple weeks later we brought another couple there with us. The food is delicious, well thought out, with high quality ingredients and skill in the kitchen. The service is fantastic as well. We both continue to ask ourselves why didn't we try this place sooner!?! So glad we finally did!"

  • "We picked up friends at their house and took them on a mystery ride to Catherine's. This was their first time, and they loved the food and the ambiance. We all had seafood: seared scallops, blackened sushi-grade tuna, and crab cakes. We also ordered salads: roasted eggplant, arugula and beets, greens with goat cheese medallion encrusted with pistachios. Portions were just right, served at just the right temperature. It's BYOB but then you know you like the wine and you're not overpaying for it. If you have a special occasion with six or more, reserve the table by the kitchen--nicely decorated and candlelit."

  • "Catherines continues to be one of our favorites. It never disappoints. Tonight was a busy Saturday evening at Catherine's, perhaps due to the oncoming snowstorm. Even so, Catherines was firing all cylinders and nothing was amiss. Our server was attentive despite a full dining room and the kitchen service was timely yet not rushed. Our apps and entrees were wonderful. I started with the Cream of Mushroom with crab soup, my wife the salad du jour....both very well done. My wife loved the scallop special and I went with one of my all time favorites...Tuna steak in a poblano creeam sauce...once again, never a disappointment! However, I cannot emphasize enough that the quality of the food and service on an extremely busy evening was impressive."

  • "The grounds and the parking lot were not very well maintained. On an icy, fogy, night, navigating the parking area and foot path to the restaurant was tricky. However, the greeter and the wait staff were friendly and helpful. The menu left much to be desired but our selection was tasty and we enjoyed the meal. On the other hand, the noise level was unacceptable. It was impossible to hold a conversation and the restaurant was over-crowded leaving us with very little elbow room. We were so uncomfortable that we did not stay for coffee and dessert. The prices were reasonable. We will not be returning to Catherine's anytime soon."

The noise level goes way up by about 8pm. We couldn't hear each other by 8pm and it was so noisy it got uncomfortable so we skipped desert & left."

We informed the waitress...she apologized but made no offer for my friend to select another entre. Would go back but would have handled the poor food in a different manner."

The atmosphere is antique chick with low ombiance lighting (they actually give you a flashlight so you can read the menu). The menu is small and has a little of everything on it. The chef is excellent and the meals are unique and very tasty. I had the special which was grouper with a crab, olive and feta cheese cover. It was very well presented and had great flavors. My wife had the scallops which we excellent as well. I highly recommend Catherines if you are looking for a fine dining experience in a nice, casual, romantic atmosphere."

  • "Unfortunately Catherine's had lost power from the ice storm on Wednesday. Our reservation was for Friday at 7:30 for 4 people celebrating 2 birthdays. What a surprise when we arrived and found the resturant closed. We received no phone call or contact letting us know that they were closed due to the power outage. VERY disappointed. Needless to say our birthday celebration was ruined. May I suggest a new policy for the restaurant that would include a process for informing those with reservations that the restaurant was closed. This practice should be a given for any business."

  • "Food was very good and the so was the service. The crab and mushroom soup was hit with all in our party. The dining room was full and busy for a Saturday evening but that is what the owners want, so be prepared and try to have enough staff to cover a rush in prime dining time. My only issue is they do not have enough large tables to accommodate groups of four or more. Our group of 4 were seated promptly but on two round tables, and so was the group of 4 who were seated ahead of us. More larger tables would be best, they are prepared for multiple couple seating but not larger groups. Unless it is expected that this be reserved in advance which I thought was apparent when I made a reservation for four people."
