Catherine's RestaurantEclectic menu, quality foodEclectic menu, quality food and preparation, friendly service.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Night OutThe food was excellent. To start, I had the wild mushroom soup with crabmeat, and it was outstanding. My wife had the Orange Roughy special, and I had the Crab Cakes, again outstanding- fish was cooked just right, and the crab cakes were all crabmeat. For dessert we shared a piece of Key Lime pie, and were glad we did. Service was just right for a relaxing meal. Looking forward to going back again.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific DinnerDinner was wonderful and relaxed. We had the Blackened Tuna and the Shrimp Pasta. Both were excellent with amazing flavors. Dined outside - wonderful evening.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMVery enjoyable birthday dinnerVery enjoyable birthday dinner - loved the mushroom crab soup!
Outdoor dining looked beautiful. Can't wait to go back!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Occasion Gem!Love Catherine's Restaurant! This place always is our go-to for Anniversaries, Valentines Day, or anytime you want amazing food and a romantic setting...The Food is wonderful, portions are perfect for getting a three course meal, Their Desserts are famous, Key Lime pie is my favorite! Don't forget this is a BYOB, and they do charge a $7 per table cork fee.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistently SuperbCatherine's is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. The mushroom and crab soup is worth the visit by itself. One can also buy a contained of the soup to take home. BYOB keeps the bill reasonable; the current corkage fee is only $7 for the entire table, and not by the bottle. It is located in a country setting and a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff are great. The food is great. What else would you want?5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were very pleased withWe were very pleased with every thing, Would return,5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Sunday Brunch, tryGreat for Sunday Brunch, try and get the outdoor Patio, it's worth it if the weather is nice. I have been here approx 5-6 times and I have never been disappointed, it doesn't really matter what you order, because it will always be good. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly, knowledgable staff,5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMCausual Dining GemWe thoroughly enjoyed our Mother's Day Brunch. The setting is quaint, the food excellent and the service superb.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial place.Excellent restaurant...ambiance, food and service. A BOB place with the corkage at $7.00, too high in my opinion. Some competing places do not even have corkage fees.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time at Catherine'sOur first time at Catherine's and it will not be our last. The food and service were great. Especially loved the mushroom soup.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWeeknight DinnerUsed an email $25 coupon but had been here before. Food is excellent while service was a trifle slow due to the volume of people. Nothing to worry about since conversation is always welcome. Always an excellent place to enjoy great food.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMQuaint restaurantThis was my second visit to this restaurant. It was very good.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchWe have been going to Catherine's for years, but never for brunch until last Sunday. Service was excellent in the midst of a busy day (always personal, but never cloying), and food was as usual - that is, perfect. Catherine's is not flashy and doesn't try too hard to be slick. The formula is great ingredients, perfect preparation, and a lovely atmosphere that can be dressed up or casual. Eggs Benedict and pancakes were the big winners, along with Key Lime Pie and Bread pudding. Go there!4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMOur scallops and duck wereOur scallops and duck were excellent. My tuna was not good at all.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat way to spend Sunday afternoonI love coming out to Catherines - the ride through the country is spectacular and then we are greeted with an enthusiasm that you have for family or old friends. We get fantastic service every time we go and love that the staff is so friendly. This time we tried the burger, and I have to say, true to the sign, best burger in town - esp. with chipotle ketchup. Instead of pasta salad, they substituted fresh fruit, which was really nice. My husband and friends had the french toast (thick and tasty - with plenty left to share) and crab cake salad - great! And of course lots of coffee. Sitting by the front window really made us feel like it was spring even if the weather outside wasn't quite so warm. We'll definitely be back4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA very nice neighborhood restaurantA very nice neighborhood restaurant. It is one large open room and i a little bit on the noisy side.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have lived in KS for 6We have lived in KS for 6 yrs and we just recently went to Catherine's. boy have we missed out these past 6 years!!! We went back again and had the same terrific food, ambiance and fun. We will definitely be frequent visitors!!!!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a treat! Great food,Always a treat! Great food, great people! Would like to see more than one special during the week. Thanks!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and service was excellent.Food and service was excellent. It has a limited menu but everything is well-prepared. The service was fine and you were not rushed. It is a BYOB and has a $7 corking fee.
We have been there a few times and would definitely go back.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMI am so grateful to have aI am so grateful to have a restaurant of this caliber right in our backyard.
I take my guests to Catherine's and they always, always, want to return.
Love... love this charming classy spot.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMTook a frien there for herTook a frien there for her 50th. We were given the royal treatment as a party of 7. Couldn't have been better!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOnce again Catherine's didn'tOnce again Catherine's didn't disappoint! We had an amazing Easter Brunch. It was the first time my children joined us for a meal at Catherine's, and they too loved it! Our waiter was attentive and the food was perfect.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had another fine dinnerWe had another fine dinner at Catherine's on a Saturday evening. My pistachio-encrusted goat cheese appetizer was superb. This is the first time I have had anything besides their wonderful mushroom soup as a starter and I'm glad I tried the goat cheese. My filet was cooked nicely and my wife's scallops were beautifully prepared. The $7 corkage is still a bugaboo of mine and I wish the restaurant would establish some kind of basic requirement for suitable attire. Dining on a Sat. night with people wearing baseball caps and sloppy jeans leaves a bit to be desired!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat way to start your SundayLove having Sunday brunch at Catherines! Same friendly staff and expertly-prepared fare, but with a menu tweaked for breakfast and in a peaceful, quiet setting. If the weather is warm, sit outside!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely little restaurant inLovely little restaurant in the middle of Chester County horse country. Extra points for being a byob. Service was amazing; food was wonderful. My crab cakes were solid crab; my sister in law's duck was delicious. The mushroom soup alone was worth the trip. The dining room is larger than you'd imagine and when we first got there (reservations at 6), things were calm. However, once the place filled up, it got quite loud.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMMy lovely companion and IMy lovely companion and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining at Catherine's. We were warmly welcomed and were led to a very comfortable table. The food was outstanding in our experience, both creative and flavorful. This was one of the better meals we have had in a long time. We will definitely return again.
Highly recommended.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellentWe had the best table there and I did not even request it! Food was delicious and I cannot wait to go again!3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMNot too snootyEaten there more than a dozen times, so obviously enjoy the experience. Romantic and comfortable at the same time, not a snooty restaurant. Always very good food, especially if you like you like your ceasar spicy and your scallops and tuna blackened. Lot's of fish choices, but, would love to see more variety in the dinner specials - especially another meat offering.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had another nice meal inWe had another nice meal in Catherine's comfortable, casual setting. Their mushroom soup with crab is outstanding and both our grouper and scallop entrees were tasty. We split a delicious piece of creamy key lime pie for dessert. The entire meal took less than an hour and we did not feel rushed. I'm still not happy about the $7 corkage fee they inflict on diners.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNice ambiance but rushedThis is an attractive country restaurant with a good food and BYOB. But there are two seatings and we were the first seating. We actually arrived 10 minutes early for our 6:30 reservation. We finally crumbled on the THIRD request to order and our appetizers came right away. My huband's mushrshoom crab soup was fabulous. My spring greens with goat cheese had just unwashed, sandy lettuce, just some red leaf out of the bag - $12.95. Our entrees arrived the minute they removed our appetizer plates. Both entrees were well prepared and delicious. I mentioned when they brought our plates that it was much too fast. They serve very nice food in an attractive setting. What a shame to feel like you are being pushed out the door.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLaid back charm, local ingredientsCatherine's is one of those charming places that is a bit off the beaten path as far as restaurants are concerned so it is easy to forget it is tucked away up 82. The food is very thoughtfully prepared; most ingredients are from a relatively close radius of the restaurant itself. Hearty breakfasts to satisfy both sweet and savory cravings and artfully prepared entrees. Personable and attentive staff in an intimate, French country chic atmosphere both day and evening.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe loved this place! PlanWe loved this place! Plan on revisiting soon! Fantastic setup, food, energy, service etc.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointed at Catherine's!Catherine's has great food, ambience and service. The chocolate lava cake is to die for! I love the casual atmosphere and the great wait staff. The menu has alot of variety and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back to Catherine's and recommend it to friends.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good, worth a tryHave been hearing wonderful things since moving to the area from people whose opinion I trust. Very nice menu, quaint atmosphere, and good service. We had the duck and the salmon. Both were very good but didn't completely blow us away like the meals at some other fine restaurants in the area. I will return for the atmosphere and to try other dishes that looked delicious. Overall, I'd give it a grade of B against some pretty stiff local competition. The key lime pie was excellent. Price range was appropriate $8-12 apps, $21-29 entrees. Reasonable portion sizes. My only major complaint was the parking lot...brutal potholes and loose stones everywhere.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AM
