CatchLovely!My girlfriend and I spent the night there a few weeks ago and had a very nice romantic time away from our daughters ;-)
Our room was very nice and breakfast was delicious, first time zuchini hashbrow was good and she really enjoyed her pancakes! We judged wished we had more time! We had window seating with an ocean view (as requested when booked) and it was very pleasant and romantic. They do have great Pinot and amazing fish! The black cod was superb and the prawns were delicious, small portions which made you want more ;) - can't wait to go again! I ordered a Spanish omelet but it was really a scramble. Everything, including potatoes, was mixed together and cooked in an oven-proof pan. It was dry and needed salt. We arrived just before sunset, and the ocean view was incredible. The staff was friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu (and ingredients), and they made thoughtful suggestions about food and wine pairings. We chose only seafood, and every dish was more delicious than the next: the yellowtail sashimi, the scallops with mushrooms, the black cod and the bronzino (from head to tail) -- all were fantastic. The chocolate tart to finish really took us over the edge. Catch is now one of our favorite restaurants.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my fourth time atThis was my fourth time at Catch, and the other two times had been so great I decided to come to celebrate my birthday. While the food was once again very good, the service was a bit below par. My previous times at Catch I'd been waited on by a nice, slightly older man who was very attentive and efficient. This experience however, we had a much younger guy who, as someone best put it, was aloof the whole night. Perhaps it was because he knew that they had already added 20% gratuity to our party of 6 (a bit surprising, usually it's only 18% and for parties of 8, but ok) so he figured there was no need to put forth much effort.
