To my surprise, they brought us not one, but two desserts - both of which were on the house! We had the claim chowder (excellent) and sea food tower to start. $125 was a bit on the pricey side but the seafood was fresh and the accompanying sauces were excellent. Our mains were the steak and lobster ($50). Price was high considering the size of the steak and half lobster but the food was done well and there were no complaints about the quality. Hubby had the Thailand bowl and was happy with the portion size. I ordered the short ribs. It was heavy on the salty side and the portion size was small. The mashed potatoes were to die for.
Overall, aside from the smaller than expected portion size, we had a wonderful experience and would return again.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dinner all year!My husband and I came to Catch for our 2nd wedding anniversary and LOVED it! The food was outstanding and the service the same. Our server (I think his name was David) was absolutely amazing and made our dinner an excellent occasion, complete with complementary Prosecco to toast our special night! Kyle Groves is a genius in the kitchen and I have never had crab taste so spectacular. Well done Catch! During the meal the staff was attentive but also not intrusive, much appreciated being left alone to enjoy our outing. The food was outstanding from aps, through main course to dessert. The food however was definitely mediocre for the price. My wife and I both ordered an appetizer and entree. The lobster soup was excellent, however the crab cake was stuffed with vegetables which made them predominantly a vegetable cake. The halibut entree was well prepared, however the scallop dish was heavy handed with the flavours and the coconut rice which accompanied the scallops was extremely salty (and inedible).
