Our children in their late 20's ("foodies" in my opinion) loved the tastes of "roll appetizers" and fish entrees. The sommelier pointed us towards a delicious, not too expensive white wine, satisfying many tastes. My husband and I split 3 small plates of baked shrimp, mini-taco mahi mahi and mushroom spaghetti finding them extremely tasty .
We sat upstairs as recommended and agree this was much nicer than the main floor. But the noise became high as music levels increased and people crowded in.

As far as the food, they were spot on. Our Hamachi Tartare was fantastic, the Shorecrest Roll was surprisingly good with the salsa verde and the Po "Little Rich" Boys were perfect for myself who loves oyster po boys and my girlfriend who typically wouldn't eat a sandwich at dinner. The down side was the service, while the server was polite and even after numerous gaffes was still trying to make our night a good experience, it was obvious he was overwhelmed and could have used some help. From getting our bottle of wine 20 min later, to refills on water that rarely came, and the 50 minute wait for our appetizers. Every bite was a party in the mouth and that went for everything we ordered including the drinks, there was nothing plain or usual about the food. Ambiance inside was a little boring but we ate early so we chose to sit outside and watch the sidewalk of south beach which is anything but boring! Once inside, we were cheerfully greeted and seated. Our server was quick to answer questions and offer intelligent opinions about which dishes my wife and I might like best. Cocktails and wine were recommended and ordered. They were delicious! We ordered lobster with sides of root vegetables and green beans with cabbage. The sauce on the lobster was tasty, but perhaps a bit powerful for the lobster meat, which was slightly overcooked. The sides were of perfect size for 2 people and were delicious. Deconstructed banana split was wonderful. They will add gratuity to the bill (even for 2 people). They let me and my husband sit beside each other ( they turned the table to accommodate us). They have the one and only Rasti sommelier ! The food was incredible! The waitress was very helpful in planning the perfect meal. Had the best lobster of my life! When they heard it was our anniversary, they immediately sent us Champagne. The mussels in red sauce and mahi mahi tacos were are appetizers and they were both wonderful. We also had the branzino and the scallops and cauliflower for entrees and they were both delicious. Had the cookie basket for dessert which was just okay. It was quite pricey though so be forewarned. The atmosphere was great and i would definitely recommend it.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
