  • "we had spent the last 2 months in Fl and we were in the need for some good fish, and we were not dis appointed Swordfish and sea bass.both were excellent. We now know where to go for good sea food."

  • "I had the distinct pleasure of dining at Catch 35 this past Friday and all I can say is 'WOW'. From the moment I and my guest were shown to our table it was obvious that this was a restaurant that knows how to make its clientele feel special. Our waiter was outstanding, the wine list solid, the crab cake appetizer a delicious delight and the Chilean Sea Bass entré totally out of this world. We finished off sharing a marvelous pecan pie dessert along with after dinner drinks. We truly enjoyed the wonderful experience that Catch 35 provided and will put this at the top of our list when we want to treat ourselves to the very best"

  • "Catch 35 has been a favorite for several years. We eat there at least once a month because the food is fresh and well prepared. We have noticed that the service has degraded over the last few months. At first we assumed it was just due to a busy night or maybe a particular waiter having a tough night. It now seems to be more of an overall change."

  • "Great dining experience, waitstaff was great and knew about all items on the menu. Our entrees came to our table hot and full of flavor. They checked with us to make sure our meal was to our liking.Great Romantic Evening.Desserts are to die for."

  • "Went for our Anniversary and the food was very good, as you would expect. Dated decor, and tables by window are very close. Got a window table and sat next to loud couple. Prices as you would expect for food flown in same day...almost $100 a person, including 2 drinks and tip, if you want what you get a a Ma &Pa Restaurant for next day seafood at 1/3 the price. I thought it was very overrated. Didn't get any special treatment for being there and advertising our special nite with reservation, until a feeble afterthought...it was too late... next time, we will pass!"

  • "Nice blackened swordfish perfectly grilled, but the "fried rice" accompanying it was real pedestrian. My wife loves the scallop appetizer. Great service."

  • "As always the food and service were fantastic! We took some friends who experienced Catch 35 for the first time. They also were seriously impressed with the food and atmosphere!"

  • "We had a great evening. Calamari & oyster appetizers were fresh & tasty. All entrees from scallops to fresh tuna were outstanding. Desserts were equally unique and delish! Service seemed abit slow....not sure if our waitress was juggling too many tables or the kitchen slow.....however she was pleasant & attentive to our needs."

  • "We have been going to Catch 35 for many years! It never disappoints !! The food is wonderful and the presentation superb. If you are looking for a special occasion place , this is the place to go. They offer a wonderful selection of fish and seafood , prepared to perfection. They welcome large family tables for your celebration dinner."

  • "I took my wife here prior to seeing a show at the Paramount, April 5th. The waiter provided us with the nightly specials, Swordfish and Halibut. They were both fantastic (my wife and I shared each plate), the best prepared Swordfish and Halibut we ever had. Great Food."

  • "This was our first time dining at Catch 35, and it was our anniversary. Having been to many upscale restaurants & various dining experiences, we have to compliment them on their excellent seafood. We had the oysters Rockefeller, crab bisque & salad, Halibut special & Maryland crab cakes for dinner. All were fresh, fresh, fresh! A really enjoyable dinner. As it was our anniversary, we each received a free dessert, and those were delicious as well. Our server, Zachary, was very attentive and always came back right as we were finished with one plate to clear the table. Very little wait for the next dish as well. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice evening out or for a special occasion!"

  • "My boyfriend and I decided to go there for our 2-year anniversary. The reservation was easy to make, and upon arriving, we only needed to wait a few minutes for our table. Unfortunately, the service was so-so. After we were seated, we were ignored for about 15 minutes. Oddly, all of the tables around us seemed to be getting water and bread, but we sat with nothing. I started looking around for our waiter, and when I made eye contact with him, he finally came over. We put our order in, and our waiter told us bread and waters would be brought out shortly, but then we were ignored for the rest of our dinner. We never received bread or water, and I had to find our waiter to request water. Our waiter couldn't give us the time of day."

  • "We had a party of 3 and between us we had the crab and shrimp bisque, lemongrass shrimp and scallops, halibut with pesto special, fried shrimp, flour less chocolate cake, key lime pie, and pecan pie. Everything was delicious. My husband, who usually is not a huge dessert fan, had the pecan pie and couldn't stop eating. It was the best pecan pie he has every eaten. We all loved everything we ate, but husband would go back just for the bisque and pie. The service was excellent- the waiter was prompt and courteous - attended to our needs without hovering. We can't wait to go back. The restaurant has a gluten free menu and the waiter was knowledgable about a gluten free diet and was able to answer my questions."

  • "We live in Indiana, but we like this restaurant so it is worth the drive, also a plus is the free parking across the street. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. The staff is attentive but not obtrusive. The crab and shrimp bisque was delicious. The scallops and risotto great but the Maryland crab cakes with rice, awesome!"

  • "Catch35 was a really nice restaurant. We enjoyed our time with the staff. We did have to wait an extra 15-20 minutes for our table, but luckily we were in no hurry. My husband tried a new beer and enjoyed it immensely. My Bloody Mary was OK, my caeser salad was OK, my entree was delicious. Yum Yum"

  • "We have never had A bad meal at either location. I made my reservation and put in that we were celebrating a birthday . When it was time for dessert they said I hear we are celebrating a special occasion And provided the dessert for free with a candle on it ( and no scene). Loved the attention to detail!!"

  • "The food was average I've had better at a lower price I will not be back for the food the dining room is nice with a kitchen view but you need to improve the quality of food.my grilled salmon was greasy not sure how that happens too grilled fish . The beet salad bland goat cheese to thin no flavor Judy an average meal and we expected so much more."

  • "When entering the restaurant we were greeted promptly by friendly staff. We were taken to our table immediately and given menus. Our waiter came to greet us and proceeded to tell us about the specials and when asked how they were prepared, he was very knowledgeable. Food was served within a reasonable time and it was very good. I would recommend this restaurant to many of my friends."

  • "The menu didn't give full details on how some of the fish entrees were prepared and the waitress didn't say anything either. My husband order tuna and was expecting cooked hot tuna and it was raw. So we told them and he order the salmon and again its half raw and the menu or the waitress didn't make him aware of this after he just had a problem with the raw preparation. He was not satisfied. When you're spending a descent amount of money for dinner you're expecting to leave satisfied."

  • "My first experience here after hearing that I needed to go from a lot of people. Did not disappoint! I was sat promptly, and didn't get any grief from the waitstaff for the members in my party who showed up late. The oysters were great, and the swordfish was AMAZING. Nobody in my party had any complaints, we all loved it. I've heard people complain about the pricing, but it's seafood! I will definitely be returning. Also, they have great specials and the bartender was amazing. No watered down cocktails like some of the places in downtown Naperville Also, I'd say moderate for noise level because we were there during a rush. However, we had no issue hearing each other at all. Once the place emptied out, it was pretty quiet."

  • "I was in town for my mom's birthday and heard about this restaurant, so my friend and I took her there for her birthday. What a treat! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Our server, Brent, was wonderful and catered to every little whim. He told the chef it was my mom's birthday, and Eddie came out to the table, not only once, but twice to talk to us and even signed a menu for mom. Brent took the time to answer questions and made sure we were totally satisfied. The restaurant is lovely and situated in a quaint part of town, and the valet parking is a definite plus! Next time we are in town, we will definitely make a return trip."

  • "This was our first trip back in a couple of years. We were seared promptly, right by the kitchen. We rolled with it and joked at least the service would be faster but that was not the case. Either our waiter Jason was new (if that's the case then he'll get there because he seemed genuine) or just confused. It took a while for him to get to our table, and then for glasses of wine to arrive. Our first course, bisque and the Martha's Vineyard salad were spot on. My wife enjoyed the Sea Bass but my Halibut had cooled down and the salsa on top distracted from the fish. Oh, and the Brussels Sprouts finally arrived as we finished our main course."

  • "We did not like the service and the quality of the food for the price before. Then we got gift card from friends went again. Was just ok. Tried again because of lent fish special. Service was not good. Took long time for us to get drinks. Then no wine glasses for the wine to be poured. Did not get gumbo before entree, had to ask for it. I know part our fault but was not given our leftovers we ask to be wrapped. Table in front of us got entree delivered to there table that were not theres. They got my extra fish ask for. Will not try for fourth time. Other places in Naperville better service and food for the price. thanks"

  • "The waitress started with "Hey, how's it going?". From there it was all downhill. There were 2 other full tables in the entire restaurant. The waitress had my table and one other; yet she was nowhere to be found for long streches of time. She poured water into my guest's salad instead of the water glass. She was apologetic and removed the salad from the final bill, but she was not attentive to our table and acted like she did not want to serve us right from the start of the lunch. I have been to Catch 35 in downtown Chicago and the service is impeccable. It was very disappointing to have such a bad experience. There is no excuse for such poor service for a party of 3 in an empty restaurant. I will not bring clients to this location again."

  • "The menu is extensive and terrific. They have a 3 course meal option which is a great way to try different selections. The crab and shrimp bisque is our favorite way to start the meal."

  • "I went to Catch 35 for the first time during the 2013 Restaurant Week and thought it was AMAZING. There was an option did get steak medallions and lobster tail. Because I loved it so much last year, I went again this year for restaurant week, but didn't think it was a great as I remembered. I was disappointed the medallions/lobster tail wasn't an option for this year. You have to pick one or the other. The service was OK. I know it was a busy night, but my boyfriend and I had to refill our own wine glasses. On a positive note, though, when I made the reservation online, I wrote that we we celebrating my boyfriends birthday and they included a candle when they brought out the dessert course. That was a nice touch."

  • "A group of us went for a family dinner - server was very polite and knowledgeable about the food and beverages (they were out of a few beers that were first choices). The specials and types of fish were explained along with preparation style so we could make informed choices. The appetizers came out with time to enjoy before the soups and then the entrees. The server's assistant was quickly filling glasses and cleaning plates while the server filled our requests. Half the group had the fixe price three-course meals which was a great deal and the split the desserts *which were great) among the whole group. A great place to enjoy good food and drink and excellent service."

  • "Love to eat here - relaxed eating venue, with muted lighting, friendly service, good food and relaxing. Usually love the seafood selection. The beet salad was awesome. We came for the fish fry, but i was not impressed with the fried fish - not succulent and too much fry. side dish and dessert up to par!"

  • "Wonderful experience. We were a party of five and were seated promptly at 6:30pm on a Saturday with a reservation. All of the dishes were delicious. From the Buffalo shrimp appetizer to the Chilean Sea Bass. Great menu selection. Although the waitress made a mistake on one of our entrees, the staff quickly fixed the problem and did not charge us for that entree. The sign of a professional and accommodative staff. Always one of our favorite restaurants, never had a bad meal here."

  • "My wife and enjoyed our meal very much. Service was a little slow for a fine dining restaurant in my opinion. However, overall we had a real nice time. For packed restaurant, it was real quiet where you didn't have to yell over ambient noise."

  • "This restaurant is good, don't get me wrong.... BUT when your niche is seafood I expect to be walking away raving about something. The scallops (app) were cooked very nicely but the favors didn't compliment as well as some others I've had. We both got swordfish (blackened and oscar) and they were over cooked. Wine list ~ no complaints. Probably will stick with Hugo's around the corner, though. Not worth $150."

  • "We had a reservation for dinner for two and had to wait 30 minutes before we were seated. We ordered the calamari appetizer and it contained large pieces of cartilage. The food was okay but definitely not worth the price. The service was good but I was disappointed with the overall dining experience."
