  • "After reading about Catch 122 in a few different places, decided to try it out and we were really glad we did! Really solid food with everything on the breakfast menu priced at a fair $12. Service was attentive, although the sweat pants, ripped shorts and ratty t-shirt look for service staff are just not my thing. Room was very big with great wood furnishings. Stuffed together quite close keeps it from being 5 stars. All in all a very nice spot for brunch. We will be back."

  • "First time here - booked a table of 8 for brunch. Nice ambience, music wasn't too loud, table was ready when we arrived. They also provided us with 2 high chairs for the kids. Great unique selection on the menu (ex: duck prosciutto). I had the "catch 122" - croissant with smoked salmon and 2 poached eggs in a crème fraiche dill sauce. It was good but the yolk was cold when I bit in. My dad had the eggs Benedict which he said were good as well but he also complained about cold eggs.. And he started eating as soon as he was served. Great experience overall - perhaps ask the waiter to ensure food is served piping hot if it matters to you."

Dessert - chocolate & cherries - really good torte & black cherry ice cream; friendly staff Minuses: asparagus was overcooked; beet puree was tasty but the texture was off-puting. meat was a bit undercooked, but fine."

Our server (AO) was excellent and we enjoyed attentive service without a hover. It was early (pre-concert) but we would definitely consider a later dinner or after event drinks/small bite."

  • "I went here with my fiance and family for my birthday dinner. None of us had been to Catch 122 before and we were very happy with the food and the service. The menu is not huge, but we all found something we loved! The cheese plate was an awesome appetizer, the hen was amazing and was prepared so you don't have to pick through bones, the pickled vegetables in the meals were divine, and I highly suggest the dessert menu :)"

This time we invited a larger party (8 people), and they were all blown away by the fantastic food and awesome ambience. Although they had never been there before (didn't even know about it), they all became fast fans and will all return with their friends. I'm just happy we were able to show off Catch-122's exceptional food and service. Great Job!"

  • "I went here with my husband and our 7 month old baby. The food was delicious and the coffee was amazing! I had the duck confit poutine which was yummy. I love the decor and it is very spacious. There is a change table for baby too which is fantastic. I will definately be back."

  • "Ordered the poutine platter to share and everyone at the table quite enjoyed it. Crab cakes were under-seasoned, so a bit disappointed - not enough sauce given how thick the crab cakes were! Pork belly was not very crispy. Dessert was good. Had the pear tarte tatin; fellow diner had the bread and butter pudding - too dry at the top and too much of the sauce sitting at the base of the jar. The service here is very good. However, don't get the table by the window for four, though - we kept getting hit by the draft every time the door opened. Would still go back again - it's worth another visit and another look."

  • "I made the reservation for 5 of us 1st timers at 5pm and knowing us I gave ample time for us to chat and eat before heading out to a paint night at 7pm. The architect was gorgeous, massive floor space, brick walls, wooden-style tables, slightly rustic feel, and nice dimmed atmosphere.The drink I had that night was mimosa. Delicious. The food was excellent, it wasn't too little or too much, just right for fine dining meal. I had truffled organic mushroom for appy, and mussels for entree which was EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, due to slow service, did't have time to order dessert. However one woman did and she ordered bread pudding and it was outstanding. Worth trying Catch 122."

  • "I went during Dine-out Vancouver and feel that I definitely got a good deal but I wasn't blown away by any means. The appy smoked salmon was good but it didnt have as strong of a smokey flavour as I had hoped it was a little bland but the accompaniments did add a bit off oomph. They had fairly large size portions for all courses. Main was the arctic char which was cooked perfectly but was paired with a pile of peas, not that exciting and also rather awkward to eat. Then moved on to carrot cake as dessert it was moist and the perfect density, served warm with a sweet carrot puree and a dollop of cream cheese mascarpone icing if I am remembering correctly. It was a 3/5 dessert but really didnt fulfill the sweetness desire I have for desserts."

My roommate and I set up a double date and narrowed it down to this restaurant based on the menu and the fact that we had never been here before. Great decor, simple, spacious, nice lighting, exposed brick. Excellent service (Aeo helped make out night a success). Tasty food with a wide variety of flavours and choices that you don't find elsewhere (wild boar, beef cheeks, whiskey ice cream). Reasonable priced wine menu (although limited choices)"

The "cassoulet" had an interesting twist - duck sausage and pork belly rather than pork sausage and duck confit. On a Saturday night, the cafe had a pleasant buzz."

My friend arrived right on time and she asked if it'd be okay if she sat down first, telling the server I was at least 20 minutes late. She was served graciously and it turned out that I was late a full hour but the service was still impeccable! No single rush."

  • "The food at Catch 122 was fabulous. The portions are not large but the coupling of flavors and textures was amazing. I was a bit disappointed that the Dine Out Menu did not feature even one item that I could go back and enjoy again - although having said that, I am confident that all selections are similar. My only comment was that once the waiter poured the initial glass of wine from the bottle we ordered - he didn't pick up the bottle again, even though he was at the table several times and should have noticed our glasses were either low or empty at times. He also did not return after we started our entrees to see if it was to our liking - the restaurant was not busy (during an at home Canucks game)."
