"The menu has been updated and changes with the seasons. The food is some of the best offered in the commercial area of Downtown Disney. This is not what you would expect, it is a high caliber restaurant serving top quality food and with both an excellent wine list as well as a "no corkage fee" policy. It is a hidden gem in the area, you don't need to go to Disneyland to eat there. You get three hours of free parking. If you eat on the patio outside, it can get noisy with the outside music but you are on a balcony and can watch all the people walking, shopping, and the shops of Downtown Disney, or eat inside in a quiet relaxed environment. this is upstairs over the Uva Bar and Catal Cafe."

"This is my favorite restaurant. Every time I come here, the staff make my wife and I feel welcome beyond belief. I love the food, the ambiance, the staff. The only thing Catal has working against it is that there is no quick way to get someone who has difficulty walking near the entrance; it takes a bit of effort, even pushing them in a wheelchair. Being in DTD, I don't think there is any solution for this, and it really isn't a criticism of the restaurant... just something you should know if you are booking a party with a handicapped member. Best solution; park at the Grand Hotel and enter DTD through the side exit into DTD. You will wind up very close to Catal, and there are places to sit along the way."

"The Foie gras was cooked to perfection. We went for OC restaurant week. The 3 course meal was $40 and wine pairings were $15 more on top of that. The foie gras was a seperate appetizer that we just couldn't pass up. The 3 courses were great but the pairings were off in my opinion, the first wine was a gewurztraminer and was way too sweet for for what the first course was, the 2nd was a rhone and the wine wasn't good in the least bit, thankfully the last wine was a sauterne and it was sweeter than both our desserts (as it should be). Personally you can never go wrong with sauternes. Service was a little slow, we got the bread about 10 min after ordering, but the olive oil and balsamic vinegar about 5 min after ordering (just an example)"

"It was hard to believe this was a Patina restaurant...the worst food I've had in years. This used to be a good (not great) restaurant, and although somewhat overpriced, it was a nice experience and the food prepared tastfully. This was, however, AWFUL!! We will NOT return and recommend this place be avoided at all costs. Nice place to drink and look out over Disneyland, with nice lights, etc, but do NOT eat the food."

"Catal is a great option if you are staying at one of the Disney properties or neighboring hotels. Located in D'town Disney, Catal offers a good mix of entree options that are thoughtfully prepared. This restaurant provides a nice break from the craziness of being in Disneyland and is also a great place to end your evening."

"We really enjoyed our dinner here on Saturday night. We shared the charcuterie platter and enjoyed trying many new things - our favorites were the chorizo and manchego. Dinner was mixed as my husband didn't like the veal short ribs, but my prime rib was delicious and filling enough for us both. The housemade ice cream and sorbet were delicious and we enjoyed ending with a pot of French press coffee and tea."
