The waiters were courteous and helpful with the choices from the appetizers, wines and entrees. The Brie appetizer was creamy and paired nicely with a Pinot Grigio and a red wine for starters. The steaks melted in your mouth and the whipped potatoes paired nicely with the green beans. One of us got lasagna and a side of meatballs and sausage and loved it : ) Our only two complaints would be that the green beans were a little cold and unless you've got a GPS from the Gov't, the place is a little tricky to find. Flavors are well blended. Homemade pasta is good, but overcooked - and that is the only criticism. We went to Castano's and were very pleased. Our server, Michael, was great, the onion soup is to die for. A wide selection of different types of food, even sushi. Our waiter was so polite & patient with us. He went out of his way to take care of our needs. The whole staff was great. Since it was our first visit, and we were with friends from CT, we asked our server Shayla for some ideas. She was spot on with appetizers and entrees. The cheese bruschetta is outstanding and enough to share. Our meals ranged from a huge pork chop to veal dishes. All were well presented and delicious. Castano's is a great addition to Myrtle Beach. Veal Carpaccio and the caper berries a real treat, salad with warm pancetta dressing, duck breast was succulent and enhanced by the Morello cherry demi-glaze, panna cotta with fresh fruit was a soft sweet ending to a flavorful meal. We appreciated being
welcomed so warmly when we arrived, having an excellent and attentive server, having wine pairings and wines explained
thoroughly by the charming representatives from the wine company, being able to thank the chef when he was introduced, live music at an acceptable level, and then being thanked for coming. A great

One of us got salmon and the other steak. Great food. We got a booth which is cozy and semi private but could see the water from our table. In the right weather the patio dining would be great. Probably best for couples, adult groups and business groups. If you want cheap burgers and fries dont go here. Its not cheap but offers a classy/casual atmosphere and was worth it. Great Sinatra music piped in with live guitar in bar area. Our only issue was the speaker at our table was going in and out which was distracting but they got it fixed promptly. Since I had never been to Myrtle Beach I had to rely on the reviews on opentable and they did not disappoint. The ambience and decor is modern and clean. We decided to go there for our 45th Anniversary this year and were not disappointed. My wife had the crab stuffed flounder and I had the veal, both were excellent. The even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Service was outstanding. While making my Open Table reservation online I made mention that we were celebrating my wife's birthday. She was greeted with a "Happy Birthday" comment by the hostess when we checked in, by the waiter when he first got to our table and by a Manager during the course of our meal. She also received, without our requesting it, a complimentary dessert. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the prime rib special. Both were delicious. The food was exceptional (on par with five star restaurants I've visited on my travels), and the ambiance was exceptional. The owner, Curtis, personally greeted us and mingled with other patrons with a friendly and welcoming smile and personality. We enjoyed the experience enough that we're considering an annual anniversary tradition.
