Cassariano Italian EateryOverpowering lemon sauceThe halibut with sundried tomato crust was very good. However, the lemon sauce that is served on many dishes, including the halibut, was overpowering. The potatoe slices were undercooked and would have been more flavorful and interesting if sautéed. When I mentioned the overpowering lemon in the sauce, the waiter made a comment that led me to believe others had expressed the same opinion. This is a small restaurant so make sure you make reservations. They do have some outdoor tables. Their soups are delicious as well as the entrees. The wait staff is so well trained but they not only know the menu and wines (Nick!!!!) inside out, they really enjoy what they are doing....the menu is very extensive so there is something for everyone! We would love to order one of everything most nights...and the specials are always incredible. Order anything with polenta, best we've had since we were in Tuscany! You never feel rushed and the place is so comfortable that you don't want to leave! I was with four people- we each had something different and each was fabulous...highest quality ingredients, expertly prepared and served artfully.

I only wish we had found this gem earlier on our vacation. Glad they'll be enlarging and moving just a few doors down. We usually have fish and a salad. Pasta is always a good choice. They have a nice wine selection. They make it fun. Cindy, our usual server, is just a sweetheart. What is funny to me is we talk about some of these negative reviews with them.
