  • "Delicious prime rib! Truly a neighborhood gem. Not a chain! Highly recommended."

  • "My husband and I have been coming here for the last several years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Just like every year before, they have never disappointed us! The food was amazing, the wine was excellent, and our server was very nice and professional. We were so pleased with everything!"

  • "I grew up going to this Cask n' Cleaver for all special occasions. I moved away 25 years ago. We dined on this visit in honor of Father's Day. It was just as great as I remembered and my Father was very happy to take a walk down memory lane."

  • "We always enjoy our dinner at this restaurant. Good friendly service a rarity nowadays."

  • "Don't be fooled when you drive down the residential street and wonder if you are in the wrong place - the Cask 'n Cleaver is hidden away in a residential neighborhood - and when you go in the building you are transported directly back into 1967 Los Angeles - huge wooden beams, bench seating with pillowed red leather banquets - wooden tables and chairs that look completely original and lovingly maintained. The food is exactly what you would expect in a 1967 steak house - steaks, salads, hamburgers, fish, shrimp - done very competently and a delicious and refreshing change from over-engineered food 'experiences'. Its a place you will remember visiting....very unique and special!"

  • "Food was excellent and waitress was awesome. Took us right in. Appetizers were excellent and beverages were never empty. Waitress was very attentive and very friendly. We love going to cask n cleaver. I have been going there since they opened."
    Dined on 5/31/2014
  • "The food was good and the steaks were tender. I was disappointed to find that the prices increased significantly and the salad bar is now an extra $4.99 extra. The salad bar used to be included in price "

  • "At first we were skeptical of how the restaurant looked but the food was really good. My pomegranate margarita was the best I've had in the area! "

  • "We love eating here. The service is wonderful. The salad bar is the best in the Inland Empire! If you like seafood you simply must try the grilled lobster! We order it everytime! You won't be disappointed. This is one of our favorite restaurants!"

  • "One of the reasons we always keep coming back to the original C&C, is because of the great service. On every visit our servers are friendly and attentive. They really make you feel special. Food is always good and my wife loves the salad bar."

  • "We've eaten here many times and have usually had good service and food. We were impressed with the fast service and very good food, especially with the large crowd that was dining."

  • "Although my wife and I had not been there for nearly a year, the dining experience at the Rancho Cucamonga Cask n' Cleaver was very good. The service was good and the food was great. What was most appealing to myself and my wife was a new menu with a section for lighter eaters with smaller portions and new tantalizing dinner items."

  • "We appreciated the reservation for 8 on New Year's Eve. The food was as good as ever with a regular menu--which we appreciated. The salad bar is the BEST! The Small Plates are a new and welcome addition."

  • "We were in the mood for steak and we ended up here. The Smothered blue was recommended and it was a top sirloin cut. The steak was chewy and hard to cut. My boyfriend had same cut but it was thinner and med well. He seemed to like his. I complained and the manager apologized and said that it must of been a bad cow. What? Nothing was offered to rectify the situation. The only thing worth going back for was happy hour, which we stopped for a drink before our reservation. Our bartender was very nice and provided great service!"

  • "I wasn't entirely sure about this place when I first drove up (it's in an out of the way area) or when it took a few minutes to get seated when the restaurant was empty... But my girlfriend and I ended up thoroughly enjoying our visit. The steaks tasted great (and came with a salad, baked potato) and the service was even better - our server was very attentive and friendly. Other than minor issues - drinks are pretty expensive and the steak temps weren't spot-on - we had a great dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the bill as well, as it only came out to $64...would definitely recommend this place. Just don't overdress (like we did) - it's not the Sycamore Inn. : p"

  • "We had a great time and great service. Looking foward to going back really soon! Prime rib was cooked perfectly! Husband had the New York steak and found it delicious!"

  • "This local restaurant has been around for years and is always dependable for great food and service. Prime rib is excellent as well as a full salad bar if desired. Main dining room is really unique and shows off its historic side, but is really crowded on weekends. Definitely make a reservation or you may be waiting a while or have to go into the bar area. I really appreciated that the restaurant held my reservation (made on Open Table), even though I was about 10 minutes late."

  • "We have been going to the Cask for years. Since we no longer live near one, we only get there about once a year. We were pleased that the steak was great, the salad bar is still the best quality, and the wine list has some unique local wines as well as well known wines."
    Dined on 11/2/2013
  • "The food was good, but it wasn't what I was expecting in terms of area. Basically your in the middle of no where with some random house and school bus depot next door."
    Dined on 11/1/2013
  • "As soon as we walked in the ordor of the restaurant was overwhelming. Our rib eye steaks were too fatty, tough and not very flavorful."

  • "Have visited several times -- always very tasty steaks and salad bar is good too. Plan to return soon."

  • "I have been a Cask 'n Cleaver customer for 30 years. This last visit to the original Rancho Cucamonga location was excellent! We were greeted by the manager and immediately shown to our table. Our waitress was prompt, efficient & funny. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Some of our visits to other Cask locations have been so-so, but this trip was the best. I may just continue to make the trek here. The extra time on the road is worth it."

  • "Our waiter, Angel was great. The food was ordinary. The place needs a major upgrade."

  • "We have been coming to this restaurant since we were married 46 years ago. We enjoy the friendly service and excellent food."

  • "We went for Father's Day. Excellent Steaks I had the Filet & my husband the 16 oz. Prime Rib. My parents both had the everything Burger. This is a steak lovers paradise. We had the salad bar which was full of unique choices including beets, peas, olives, jalapeno's, bacon, cheese, egg etc. There was also a good assortment of salad dressings. Please eat something other than a burger at this place though I am told the burgers were great also."

  • "This was my 2nd visit to Cask n' Cleaver; I ordered a simple salad bar and porter house; knowing the owners of this place also own Sycamore Inn, I was expecting a good steak, even though it might not be the same service as Sycamore Inn and "great" steak. I ordered my porterhouse medium well, and it was just "okay"; it was a fatty piece, with about 30% of it inedible, part of it well done and crispy, and part of it rare (near the bone). If you have eaten at Sycamore Inn, and think you might get something somewhat close to Sycamore without the fancy service, you will be disappointing."

  • "I expected fine steaks and ribs, good service, nice ambience, but the food was marginal, the service was quite poor, with the waitress leaving often in the middle of receiving our order to service other tables. This led to getting a couple of orders wrong. Ribs were difficult to eat, due to chopped bits of bone and gristle in every bite. The kid's mac n cheese was supposedly Kraft's, but was not readily apparent in appearance or taste. The salad bar buffet was well stocked however which was a plus. Ambience was a bit noisy and dimly lit. Kids received nice portions of sherbet, topped with whipped cream, which they enjoyed. Overall, the experience left much to be desired, particularly at that price level."

  • "We have been here a few times and every time it is great. Even when they are really busy the service is still great. We always order the steak and it is always cooked to perfection. It is kind of a older crowd so I wouldn't recommend this as a hangout spot, but they do have a full bar with a few TVs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who appreciates good food and friendly service."

  • "We have always enjoed the San Dimas Cask and Cleaver and this was our first adventure to the one in Rancho Cucamonga. When we arrived the young hostesses greeted us with NO SMILE and very unattentive, so I thought that we were in for a tough lunch. All of that changed when our waitress arrived. She was abolutely fabulous and totally changed our day with her upbeat, helpful and attentive service. The salad bar was well stocked, fresh and excellent, as usual. The steaks and additonal food was absolutely delicious and matched the fantastic service! Thanks for a great day to remember!"

  • "If you are expecting Ruth's Chris or Morton's or any other high end steakhouse, then you will be disappointed. This is not on that level. The restaurant is older and could use some updating. The service is good and the staff were friendly. We ordered a filet and NY strip cooked medium. The filet was cooked properly, but the strip was closer to medium well. It didn't taste like they put any kind of seasoning on the steaks, but they weren't bad. They had a grilled flavor which is how we like them. The all you can eat salad bar is very nice and a great addition considering the price for steaks is under $40. They have some great lunch specials during the week which is something to consider."

  • "We ate here based on the Open Table recommendations and were not disappointed. The tempura avocados were fabulous. We enjoyed the soup and salad bar for dinner - especially the homemade chicken noodle soup. Nice place!!"

  • "I love Cask. Food and service are great. Both lunch and dinner are excellent. It's a favorite Birthday spot for my family."

  • "the food was good, we had the filet, the potatoes were great also. the only thing I perfer is less noise.the atmosphere was ok for familys but I would rather have a booth. I did not see any so I guess they don't have any. the open space was not a place for a romantic night out. the price was a little high for the nosie level for me."

  • "Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. I waited too long to reserve for Valentine's Day so all the restaurants I was familiar with were all booked already. Found this one through OpenTable, never heard of it even though it's less than five miles from our house (we haven't lived in Rancho Cucamonga very long), happy that I found it!. Great food and drinks, love the ambience, and the waitress serving us was a charm. And even with all the beer and cocktails, I ended up spending way less than I was planning to. Will definitely be coming back."
