CasimirA fun place to eat outdoorsA fun place to eat outdoors on a summer evening. Nice addition to the neighborhood6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCASIMIR WAS WONDERFULCASIMIR WAS THE NICEST PLACE I HAVE BEEN IN NEW YORK5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat French RestaurantI have being in this restaurant three times since my birthday on February, 3 months ago. I love the food!! The quality of the ingredients and the richness of the flavors are incredible for the price. It is not cheap but it is definetely your money's worth. The siders are a must, lentils or brussels and bacon. Both steak and salmor tartar are exquisite. The ambience is very amicable: low lights and low music. It feels very cozy without being tacky. The service can be faster, although last time it was much better. The waiters are very friendly and they don't rush you to get out. I recommend it for couples, groups or just to eat delicious and catch-up with a friend.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect evening ....Kind helpful staff, atmospheric, beautiful lighting , great French classics .. But... the one thing I was surprised about was to find salmon in my bouillabaisse. This is a Heresy. Call it soup de poisson
Or what you will... But never in a bouillabaisse5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCasimir knows how to do FrenchCasimir knows how to do French cuisine right. This was my third time eating there, and it has never disappointed. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the boeuf bourguignon is the standout. It's homey, comforting and is reminiscent of your childhood (if you had a french grandmother or grew up in France).
While I cannot sing enough praises of the good, the service leaves something to be desired. There never seems to be enough wait staff which delays the food and drinks.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWarm and Friendly EstablishmentI thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, the friendly service as well as the food. This restaurant is a gem.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood gem!Easy to get a reservation. The restaurant was empty at 8pm on a Friday which was concerning but got filled around 9pm. Feels like your in Paris great outdoor garden. Mussels and the duck were my favorite! Great brunch and weekday specials!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMthe food and service werethe food and service were absolutely perfect! the pork belly was outstanding absolutely recommend it! we cannot wait to go back!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMI love Casimir. I look forwardI love Casimir. I look forward to dining there. Its like being in Paris.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI checked "kid-friendly" becauseI checked "kid-friendly" because my son loves this place and has loved it since he was 5. His first favorite dish was confit de canard. Went there most recently for his 11th birthday. (These days he likes steak tartar.) The staff was lovely to him; BUT, be warned, this is not a "kid's" restaurant in the typical sense. No children's menu. No bland or processed food. Just good traditional bistro cooking in a mellow atmosphere. If you need smaller portions, appetizers are the way to go. Also, at least early in the evening, it isn't rowdy. I've been there & seen other neighborhood families eating with their children, too, and no one runs between tables. If your child is really active, even between courses, this is not the place for you.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMwent for brunch with my auntwent for brunch with my aunt and uncle. the restaurant wasnt crowded at all at 1pm which was a little sad. but the food was good as was the service. we left happy and full.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was a solid good time withIt was a solid good time with good food and pretty good service. Overall 4/5 stars. BTW - Bartender was literally an angel as in angelic. Fun times4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMooh la la...ce magnifique!!We came here from Ohio to celebrate my girlfriend's bachelorette party, and they were very accommodating to our party of 9. The restaurant had wonderful ambiance: quaint, exposed brick, vintage wine/champagne bottles, jazz in the background--the feel I want when in a big, new city. The crispy pork belly and salmon tartare appetizer were very tasty and a perfect starter to our meal. The duck confit was superb the and hanger steak left nothing to be desired. The best part--an awesome meal for an even better price--I expected to pay top dollar, as it is NYC, but it was very reasonable and worth every penny! Our party was very pleased and hope to be back when in NYC again.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench gem with ambiance to spareVery cute, candle-lit interior was packed with groups even for a 10pm reservation time. The waiters could not be more friendly, very energetic, and ours was joking with us from the time we sat down until he held the door for us on our way out. The menu was varied with something for everyone's tastes, the fries that accompany many of the entrees notably superb!3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI thoroughly enjoyed the evening.I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. I have been there before and have always liked it.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AM
