Casimir & CoI have been eating here sinceI have been eating here since it opened and will continue to do so.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe corner stays FrenchThe transition to a new bistro in the spot of a lovely bistro has worked very well. The menu is well edited and smaller. Simple traditional French flair. The steak tartare is prepared at tableside to your specifications and is delicious. Their pomme frites are to die for. The upstairs is quieter and better for dinner. If you want trendy and bar scene then the downstairs and outdoor seating the option to take.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA Francophile in NYC's DreamYou will be immediately be transported to Paris when stepping into this restaurant. From the French jazz music serenading you in the background, the waiters conversing in French and the French magazines hanging on the wall, made me feel as if I was in a restaurant in Saint-Germain-des-Prés or on the Boulevard du Montparnasse. Great food and excellent service - we had a large party of 8, and they never skipped a beat. We enjoyed salads and escargot as appetizers. The entree highlights included a "pasta" made out of hearts of palm - unique and delicious, along with the steak tartare prepared table side. We will definitely be back - this place is truly a francophile's in NYC's dream.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe steak tartare was deliciousThe steak tartare was delicious and fun to make it table-side, but it is a little better at the Casimir in the East Village.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMfood for thoughtVery charming corner bistro. Service was of a high order and the food was top-shelf. Reasonably priced.
