A word from Casimir & Co
Casimir & Co will transport diners from the streets of Manhattan to a Parisian bistro clad with rustic wood finishing on the walls, an open kitchen with tempting charcuterie hanging in the window, and daily menus listed on chalk boards. The full service bar is located on the street level with a few high-top tables, and the L-shaped dining room is on the second level surrounded by large windows overlooking Lexington Avenue. Dishes will be rooted in simple and traditionally satisfying bistro fare. The seasonal and affordable menu will rotate daily for lunch, dinner and brunch offering diners a new experience every day.Signature items will remain on the menu, such as the house’s signature dish L'Entrecôte Casimir & Co, a grass fed NY Strip served on a wooden board with a "secret" sauce and homemade frites for a bargain $22.
In addition to an outstanding menu, the restaurant also offers a wine and mixology bar on the main floor and outdoor seating for beautiful summers on the patio.

  • "The is a pleasant place and one of the few where it is possible to hold a conversation. This is a rarity and a big plus. The food is not bad or overpriced, just not great. Soup was cold, artichoke over cooked and the confit of duck adequate. The fish baked in salt seemed a winner and was enjoyed, the steak frites okay. I would definitely go back because good enough food in a quiet surrounding is not easy to find. The dessert choices were very appealing and I wished we had ordered at least one to share."

  • "Very nice discovering in NYC. Party of 4, with 4 different choices (loup de mer, agneau, moules et steak). Everything was delicious. Including the wine, which is not always the case in town. Perhaps the only thing to improve a little bit were the escargots, and the price for the sparkling water (Badoit, c'est vrai...). But, beyond this, excellent place, nice atmosphere, great service, not too noisy and central, cozy, delicious"

  • "This was one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants for a casual lunch or dinner. The new owners have significant changed the menu and we found it difficult to find something to eat for lunch as the menu is more appropriate for dinner. There were only 2 sandwich choices = hamburger and croques monsieur. Omelettes would be a good addition."

  • "We loved the fact that the ingredients included organic chicken and grass-fed beef, rare in our experience for a brasserie. Somewhat in French style the wine list had no vintages, though the value was quite good relative to most restaurants, particularly in light of the fact that the bottles we got had decent age behind them at reasonable prices. The bread was homemade and though bland, not bad. We liked the French waiter. The artichoke was over-steamed, and the dipping sauce was like a bad over sated knorr. The Grass Fed steak was very reasonably priced and perhaps thats why it was so thin, as though our 1 year old could have eaten it. The accompanying frites were greasy and not well done, in the figurative sense. Profiterole eh."
