Our evening was superb. I am always surprised when Seattlites don't know about this glorious little eatery. We ordered every pasta and almost all the deserts and then licked the plates. Our waitress was charming and attentive, ready to offer suggestions and accommodate allergies.

I am Japanese and visit Seattle for my business with my important client. I made a reservation here for showing my respects. My clients were tired and eat less even though the food was wonderful. We shared only boar and rizott salad because my clients can eat only small portion. It was embassing situation for me because it was not how we are expected to spend in this kind of restaurant. But service was conducted gracefully and decently as usual and this impressed me this restaurant as most dignified restaurant with best food and best service in Seattle. I recommend this restaurant to my close friends.

I consider myself a foodie and recognize and appreciate quality, and don't mind paying for it. Spinasse is a decent restaurant, good atmosphere and service, and OK food, but for me the value is not quite there. In my experience, pasta was overdone, some of the food oversalted, good wine. Overall I enjoyed it but will probably not return. Small dinner for two (shared some courses) was pushing $200, for that price meal should have been more satisfying.

Far too expensive for the quality of food. Even a simple thing like cooking pasta was well below expectations. The couple with us were also terribly disappointed. Upon arrival we discovered that there were two restaurants, two chefs, and two menus in the same place. Although we ate in the main restaurant, the menu in the bar area seemed more interesting.

We arrive on time but our table was not ready. They took us through the restaurant to the bar next door were we sat for 40 minutes. After questioning they finally gave us a table. To make up for delay they gave us 3 appetizers of their choice. Food overall was very good.

Even at really great great restaurants it is rare that every dish is delicious. We really enjoyed every dish at Spinasse (we ordered 6 dishes - 1 salad, 1 half size app, 1 small pasta, 2 mains, 1 dessert). We couldn't even pick a favorite they were all so tasty. Service was great.

Had not been to Spinasse for several years. In that time, the space expanded and was re-arranged. It seems more open and lighter now and a really pleasant setting. The service was gracious and complete. Each dish was described from ingredients to cooking methods. There was enough attention without feeling intrusion during the meal. The food is superb! Fresh and the very best. From the bread or crostini to the soup, trout, carrots, pasta with butter and sage to the espresso gelato and pot of espresso... This was a culinary experience beyond what I remembered. We shared plates and that was just fine... Almost encouraged. The food is straightforward but how it is prepared and presented makes it a standout.

I didn't realize that Cascina Spinasse had been open for six years when I booked a table for my wife's birthday, but what a pleasant surprise it was. The service was outstanding, warm and attentive. Their speciality is northern Italian cuisine and wine. They also have a very deep selection of Italian digestives and aperitifs. The pastas are the standout item here, and they are fabulous. The wine list is a bit dear, but our waiter helped us find an excellent Nebbiolo at a reasonable price. Overall a lovely, warm and cozy place for a relaxed meal.

We had an absolutely delicious meal for our date night at Spinasse. The two of us split two appetizers, one large pasta, and one secondi and it was the perfect sized meal. We had the fine cut egg pasta with butter and sage - it sounds deceptively simple, it was absolutely fantastic. We also had the rabbit meatballs which were wonderful as well. The staff were also super nice and helpful with suggestions on food and wine.

When we were planning our trip to Seattle to get married, we saw a TV show that was spotlighting restaurants around the country who had the best, and most unique pasta dishes. The details of how the pasta at Cuscina Spinasse was handmade in-house and finished off in really creative ways, prompted us to make a reservation immediately! This is the point where I must say-the show could have never done this place justice! We have eaten a lot of great food in some of the top food cities around the world, and this place could give any restaurant a run for their money. I can't even describe the attention to detail and finesse that went into everything we ate. From beginning to end, we were stunned. One of the most memorable meals of our lives!

Without exception, all the dishes we tried were unique, flavorful, and delicious. We will definitely be returning!

We had such a perfect dinner, one of the best meals in a long time! Started with the prosciutto & melon, rosy slices of perfect prosciutto and lucsious sweet melon, very ample serving and a lovely way to start the dinner! We shared the rest of the dinner so we could try more, had 1/2 orders of two pastas: the ethereal tajarin with butter and sage, and the pasta special, with zucchini ragu. Both were outstanding and a nice counterpoint to each other. We shared the pan seared trout with the balsamic glazed cippolini onions w/golden raisin sofrito...the fish was perfectly cooked, beautiful crisp skin, those onions were to die for! finished off dinner with the must-have torrrone...sem-freddo with nougat and caramel, absolutely heavenly!

Our dinner was perfect-- from start to finish, including the service from Angela, who was helpful, knowledgable, and welcoming. This was a birthday celebration for my husband so I chose the restaurant with great care. We couldn't have been happier. Every detail of the meal, from crisp house-made breadsticks to velvety melon gelato, was beautifully executed. We had two antipasti--prosciutto with melon(half order is perfect to share for 2 if you are having a full order of pasta) and the tomato and melon salad, and both were elevated versions of familiar dishes. Our pasta orders--tajarin with ragu and the cavatelli with lobster mushroom ragu--were tender and toothsome and perfectly sauced. There's that word again--perfect!

Had a great dining experience, the restaurant brought over glasses of prosecco as I had asked on the reservation. Food came out delicious, the highlight being all the pastas dishes. The Ragu and Cavatelli were by far the favorites and we would plan on doing all pasta next time (the meatballs were pretty small). Our server was super nice, didn't catch her name. We love love loved Stephanie who served us drinks at Artusi before we went to the dining room, and her cocktails were outstanding. We will be back soon!

What a disappointment. From being sat ridiculously close to another table (my husband and I didn't feel comfortable even trying to talk as we would have had to yell over the table next to us that we were almost touching elbows with). From poor service. She never smiled and had too many tables to give them the care they deserved. I watched as I and other tables waited and waited for waters to be refilled, plates and glasses to be cleared, checks to be picked up, dessert menus dropped, etc. From the food, which is what I was most looking forward to. A boring uninspired amuse bouche, an overdressed salad, bland pasta that was all in one clump. We did have a trout and carrots that was out of this world, but not worth enduring everything else.

I've dined at Spinasse over a dozen times now, and I have never ever had a bad meal there, nor a bad dish, nor anything even coming close to an average dish. It's clear that the people making the food care a great deal about the products they use, and that same attention to detail translates onto each and every plate they produce. I've never been to Italy so I'm not sure how the overall experience compares, but I have to think that the pasta (the best I've ever had, all of the ones they make) compares favorably. Siete fantastici - bravi!!!
