  • "Wasn't very impressed with the food. After reading reviews thought this place would be exceptional but the experience was not that great. Service was fast and friendly"

  • "Fresh food, inventive menu, extremely knowledgable waitress made the evening great."

  • "We were celebrating a graduation, and as a group of 6, they made up a very nice table near a window. Food was great, service helpful and friendly, but portions small, thus the lower rating."

  • "very good food, and espectacular service. Very recommended."

  • "We dined at Spinasse for our anniversary dinner and they did not disappoint. I was looking forward to the handmade pasta I'd heard so much about! The portions were generous and reasonably priced for the high quality. The server was very helpful in answering any questions we had - she even surprised us with a plate of freshly handmade beef ravioli on the house. And the pasta... oh, the pasta is amazing. I enjoyed the ambiance - it's rustic, cozy, and romantic. But family friendly, too! Overall - great service, large wine list, yummy food!"

  • "For someone on a budget, the prices at Cascina Spinasse would be a wonderful treat for a special occasion or out-of-town guests. The pastas sound simple on the menu and even appear average in person, but the flavors are so complex and absolutely delicious. Although their main entrees sounded (and looked) amazing, I'm glad I got to sample a few pasta dishes because they were all exquisite. Tried the butter and sage w/ handmade pasta, lamb ravioli, and the (night's special) lamb ragu w/handmade pasta, as well as the fondita fondue for an appetizer. I highly recommend all dishes, particularly the butter and sage pasta and the fondue! Next time, I would like to try the prosciutto appetizer and the pork chop main dish. "

  • "Excellent food, well prepared. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Popular place. Menu selections are not run of the mill, this is not a meatballs and red sauce place. I'd go again any time."

  • "I was eager to try Cascina Spinasse as it gets great reviews. We were warmly greeted and our waiter was very attentive. The menu was very limited with no seafood or poultry dishes available. I mentioned to the waiter I do not eat meat and he suggested one of the pasta dishes could be prepared without the snails. I opted for a salad and their highly rated butter sage pasta. Both were delicious. My friend ordered the pork ribs which was flavorful and more like a small pork roast. I did try it….delicious but on the dry side. Dessert was not memorable. If you don't mind a limited menu this is a unique spot for dinner."

  • "Very popular (well deserved) so not a good idea to just drop in. Signage is pretty much non-existent so bring the address."

  • "I love to eat and I appreciate food that was prepared with care. Cascina Spinasse offers decedent Italian fare. Coupled with the comfortable and thoughtful service and the hand made pastas (made on the grounds) to die for, this is what fine-dining Italian style should be all about. "

  • "My favorite restaurant did me right on my 40th. Cocktails at the bar next door, followed by a wonderful evening of excellent food and drink. The staff was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the food and even talked me down from my "I want to order every pasta on the menu" ledge. Also the deer birthday candle with the excellent Rhubarb cake to finish off the night was marvelous"

  • "Whether entertaining out of town guests, clients or just looking for an amazing meal with your significant other this is my go to spot in Seattle for the best food, wine and service. We always pop in to Artusi next door for a drink first and then segue in to the dining room. They never fail to please with an always changing and seasonal, innovative menu with a few perennial favorites that never disappoint. "

  • "I keep going back to Spinasse wondering if they'll be able to maintain their consistency as one of Seattle's best restaurants. They do. The food is over the top good and the service is the best in town. The atmosphere is relaxed, not snooty. "

  • "WOW...as in "what others want" in a food expereince...the service was so attentive, the ambience unpretentious but charming, and the pasta pure perfection. We ordered the halibut appetizer and liked it so much we had to have another. Terrific! "

  • "Cascina Spinasse never disappoints. With it's really great open kitchen, bar, waitstaff and food. Did I mention food? The Tajarin remains my favorite pasta dish of all time. The antipasti as usual, was outstanding with the standouts being the prosciutto with blackberry vinegar apples and mustard seeds and the remarkable insalata di rucola e acetosa. The service was impeccable and the venue is just beautiful. Go here for a special occasion. "

  • "I like this restaurant but always struggle to really find what I really want to eat here. The food trends toward very modern Italian, and uses unusual (and sometimes forced) ingredients. I also thought the red wines by the glass options need improvement, which run dry and acidic. Very good service with friendly wait staff. "

  • "We came here to celebrate a birthday - very intimate, just the two of us. The waiter took time to introduce each dish and asked us how everything was. The food was decent; decor comfortable and unpretentious. The place has a lot of hype but it definitely lived up to it!"

  • "Our first night in an epic vacation to Seattle started with us arriving 30 minutes late to Spinasse due to traffic. We were told we could sit but were on a time limit on a busy friday night, we opted to sit at the bar in order to not be rushed. We had an amazing meal of all the pasta offerings on the menu with Angela, the great bartender. Coupled with a great bottle of Nebbiolo from an awesome, focused wine list. Everything was great. "

  • "The food was fabulous but you will not overeat. Best deal for $ & size is the homemade pasta. Least value was the fish, which was small & very pricey! The bread is heavenly, as is the butter & olive oil. Service is terrific. Vodka selection stinks!"

  • "It isn't often that a restaurant really impresses, but Spinasse does. Try the pasta with parmigiano reggiano and sage. It's simple, but perfect. The roasted pork ribs were fall off the bone tender and succulent. Even the fresh bread is perfect. Their roasted veal loin with tonnato sauce is a great appetizer. Considering the food quality, this restaurant offers great value. Service is professional (no kids as servers) and their wine list is impressive. There's ample parking nearby."

  • "This was our first visit to this restaurant so we shared several dishes to taste more from the menu. Everything was delicious, the pasta was exceptional! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It is spendy, but worth it."

  • "Discovered this restaurant on our visit to Seattle. Great Italian food in a sophisticated environment (we were trying to avoid those old-fashioned Italian places) with great ambiance. Loved watching the pasta being made. Enjoyed it very much and hope to return. "

  • "We has great salads, pasta and fish entrees. Everything was amazing! Our wine excellent! I'm always excited to come back! It's ine of the best restaurants in town"

  • "The decor is very warm and inviting. You can look in on fresh pasta being made in large sheets while the staff buzz around. I was excited to try their pasta, as fresh pasta is hard to find where I'm from and they were very highly rated. My date and I both ordered a small plate, her the lamb ravioli and I the pasta with ragu. I thought both were done quite well, though I preferred the ravioli. We then ordered the braised pork ribs. I was disappointed in them. They look great, and the turnip gratin was stellar, but the ribs were too fatty and chewy as a result. On the plus side, the portions were huge and you could easily feed two people with them. My suggestion would be to stick to the pasta, avoid the rest."

  • "Having eaten at Spinasse many times in the past, I had my first disappointing experience. Service was terrible. No oil and vinegar to dip our bread, yet the table next to us received a bowl. Empty glasses when our mains were served, and neither our server nor the staff who brought our food seemed to care. Italian food without a glass of wine? Food was underwhleming. Lamb ravioli with no sauce, just oil and butter? At least do butter and sage. To make matters worse, the lamb was actually sausage which was not mentioned on the menu. Had it been slow cooked lamb ravioli with a simple butter and sage sauce that would have been amazing. Nettle risotto was good, but would have been better with wine. Giunduja desert was amazing."

  • "Gawd I LOVE this place. This was my forth meal here...and the food; as always, was fantastic. We decided we werein the mood for meat; so all of our pastas were meat based. The lamb raviloi was one of the best pastas I've ever had; the goat also very, very good."

  • "Everything about this place was amazing. Very interesting selection of food, but it was all delicious. The place has great character. Would highly recommend to anyone."

  • "Every course we had was excellent. We started with an antipasti sampler that included the most succulent veal I've ever tried, and 24 month aged prosciutto. You watch the bustling kitchen prepare everything as you wait for the food, and it is evident that the staff takes great care with each plating. The chef was in the kitchen during our entire meal, scurrying back and forth, tasting everything. Both my fiance and I agreed it was the best meal we've had in Seattle."

  • "particularly loved the kale, the salads, the nettle risotto, and of course the extraordinary tajarin with butter and sage!"
