We were just expecting a quick dinner - nothing special. We were so pleasantly surprised that the meal and the view blew us away. Patio seating is a must - so relaxing and serene in front of the waterfall.

Sat outside by the waterfall and there were fireworks that night as well. Food was good but not memorable. Maybe the ambience overshadowed it but it wasn't special but at the same time zero complaints about the food.

Food was not cooked well. Very disappointing! Manager sent over a "free" appetizer after the meals were delivered for the second time. Not sure what the point of that was. Meals should have been comped or at least discounted. Salmon dish that my wife had was raw the first time. Clearly had been frozen. Again, disappointing for a port city to be using frozen fish. Expected much better. Would not return.

If weather permits, get an outside table, adjacent to the waterfall and the golf course - a spectacular view ! I'd suggest getting there an hour before sunset so you can enjoy the view in daylight, dusk and dark. You will be equally impressed by the food, and prices are reasonable for the value. Enjoy!

  • Bring Back Brunch

When the hotel was a Fairmont, and even under the private ownership, they had a wonderful buffet brunch. It was a bit disappointing to see Marriott has done away with the brunch, and do not even offer a Sunday Brunch a la carte menu.. There is no where really in Aventura to have a nice Sunday brunch, and it seems that the restaurant could do a nice business with the local people, and the snowbirds, if they properly prepared and marketed a brunch menu. The lunch menu was ok, nothing spectacular, but service was excellent.

Took an hour to get my food. Reservation was at 11:30. After 15 min of sitting at the table, a server finally arrived and stated that it would be at least 20 more min before we could be served because they were shifting into lunch. So for a 11:30 reservation, the earliest my food would be prepared was after Noon. I then spent 10 min trying to find an alternative option (but the valet was going to take way too long) so I returned. The manager told me the comments about 20 min were incorrect; however, even after I ordered at ~Noon, the food still took 30 min and finally arrived at 12:30. The restaurant should just not take reservations until Noon... instead of having patrons wait for 30 min at a table while the restaurant prepare for lunch

I enjoyed the dining experience and the outdoor setting. I was not impressed with my Duck Lasangna. It was bland and almost tasted like it was going off. The Churrasco steak was burnt crispy. We did enjoy the Mahi Mahi and the meatball appetizer was exquisite. The chocolate torte for dessert was exceptional! We enjoyed the service, also. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and patient.

No one came to our table when we were seated outside. We had to get up and go find a waiter. There are clearly language problems with the staff and the wrong items were brought to the table as was evident with our drinks. The food itself was good but the main course was cold. The fish part was hot but not the vegetables it was sitting on. The waiter was informed and did not come back to our table When we went inside to find out why we were informed that the cook was making us new vegetables and by the time that came out the fish was now cold. We asked them to take the original dish in and heat them. They took them away and came back later with 2 new plates, hot. A total waste of food.

Food was very good but impacted by the way it was delivered to the table. Plates were often offered to the wrong diner. At lunch we were offered food after our plates had been removed. Wine glasses were not refilled. Wait staff was difficult to understand in some cases. Food as not as warm as it should be. Some guests served their food while others waited another five minutes to get theirs. Diners sat and waited to begin eating until everyone had their food.

We sat in the bar of this casual resort restaurant. Ambience was not all that special, but the food was excellent! Both the gazpacho and the "calamari popcorn" were outstanding, and my main -- a braised short rib over polenta -- was terrific. Service was good.

We went for dinner during our stay a the Turnberry Isle and the food was mediocre (the meatballs inedible), and the service was slow. However, we went the next morning for Breakfast (it was part of our package at the hotel or we wouldn't have returned), and it was delicious and sitting on the golf course was delightful. If you're at the hotel, get breakfast here!

My reservation was not honored. I've dined here many times over the years but this experience will deter me in the future as staff was insensitive and cold. The food was horrible and I was embarrassed as I had invited friends for a wonderful lunch. The menu was unavailable and there was only a cold buffet of make-your-own sandwich. Hard to believe this was Turnberry Isle!

The setting is lovely; the bread is delicious; the Caesar salad was outstanding. Then the meal went straight downhill. The chicken cacciatore entree was dry, small & disappointing. There was no sauce; the rice was also dry. The server never returned to inquire bout our meals; my husband could have requested some sauce. The grilled sword fish was tasty, but the portion size was so small, a five year old child would have left hungry. We will not return here for lunch.

The view of the golf course was absolutely beautiful. Although we had been lead to believe by other online reviews that there might be brunch, this turned out not to be true. We were able to find menu items that satisfied the "brunch mood" and every single thing that came to the table was fresh and delicious!

From the begining till the end the place seems very unprofessional. First we couldn't find it, but even when we walked in there wasn't any hostes to greet us. The whole atmospher and design reminded of a small hotel diner, fine for breakfast, but not for dinner. The place was dead. The weather was good enough for us to seat outside, otherwise I would of leave. Outside is nicer, it has a waterfall and a view of a golf course. I bet it's really pleasant during the day. The food wasn't bad, although nothing special, but it took them forever to cook it. The waitress wasn't professional enough and at the end the check had some items we didn't order. Overall I say it isn't good for the money, because it isn't cheap neither.

I was happily surprised by the variety of the menu and the quality of the food. They offered us a menu at $60 for 2 persons, sharing an appetizer, 2 entrees, sharing a desert and a bottle of wine. Everything we order was great as much quantity wise that quality wise. Our server Mo was very courteous and he made us want to go back and we will. Thanks for a nice evening.
