We enjoyed our lunch as usual, but service was a little slow and a bit disorganized. Very unusual for this restaurant-normally a 5 star, but we had to ask for more attention. Will not deter us from going back-food consistently good, service generally better.

I need to eat gluten free. My husband can eat anything. We both had delicious meals and a wonderful bottle of wine. The waiter was informed and helpful in my selection process. The only thing they could correct is that they need to offer desserts that are gluten free that are not ice cream or sherbet. I am tired of these being the only choices for gluten free diners. Consequently, I did not order dessert. I am a wonderful baker and there are many wonderful gluten free desserts I bake at home. The restaurants should be able to do this too.

Our Sunday evening dinner was exceptional. The waiter knew that we wanted to linger over our meal, and paced the courses perfectly. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was lovely. The inside tables were full and had a sort of party atmosphere, while the outdoor patio was less noisy and calmly sociable. All in all, a perfectly charming evening.

It is difficult to enjoy a meal when you feel like you are in a tanning bed! My wife and I planned to spend our anniversary in town (stayed at a local B&B) This was our first visit and the only seating available for two was in the outer area....enclosed by walls and a canopy roof. Appears to have been designed for outdoor dining. However their attempt to use the area year round by installing infra red heaters that were directly above the tables was an extremely poor choice !! Twice we had to reguest the heat be turned off. I would recommend having a professional design an appropriate HVAC system that provides a comfortable environment...this certainly is not. The food and wait staff were very good...but the environment cast negative tone

The menu had so many great choices it was hard to decide! The food was presented beautifully - especially the smoked salmon! Omelets were light and fluffy, lamb was decadent and delicious, scallops cooked to perfection. Derek, our server, was great - attentive, knowledgeable and sincere - not overbearing. Can't wait to go back! I hear the pork chops are fab!

I like the brunch selections and how they are a fixed price and have two courses. I have gluten intolerances and I was disappointed that they didn't have any GF toast to go with my omelet. Just one slice of bread would have been wonderful. We were in Seattle over the summer and every restaurant that we went into had GF bread to offer with no up charges!! I tasted a scone which was delicious and the rest of our party enjoyed the assortment of breads.

Casbah is comfortably stylish with terrific service and a diverse and interesting menu. The gnudi and octopus starters were particularly outstanding. The swordfish, duck and filet were delicious and beautifully presented. The bread on the table was excellent. The only adjustments in our minds were less salt in the mashed potatoes (with the filet) and some darker beer offerings. Carrot gob for dessert was delicious as well. Our server, Paul, was very attentive and even thought to bring us fresh mint, lemon and honey with hot water because he didn't have mint tea bags available. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

I would like to rate this restaurant 4.5 stars but can't. It's really good and a favorite. The only reason I don't rate it five, is because I feel like I need to save five stars from some totally over the top dining experience. If you choose to go, you won't be disappointed.

The food and service were very good. The atmosphere is definitely different. We were seated in what appears to have once been the front patio. It is now a cement sidewalk floor, the area enclosed by cinderblock walls with a semi-permanent tent-like roof. Convenientily, none of the photos on the restaurant's website show this front seating area. The dress code is listed as "business casual" but leaned heavily towards the casual. Overall, a bit more casual than expected (both in dress and atmosphere), but worth a visit for the food and good service.

Ate here for my birthday with my husband. It was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. Dim lighting in the dining area created a romantic feel. The tables are pretty close together, though so we had the unfortunate experience to hear TMI from the table next to us. Food was excellent, would go back again. I look forward to eating in the outdoor section next summer.

Kasbah always seems to mix good with bad. This time entrees were quite good although the practice of so many restaurants of resting the meat/fish on top of the vegs diminishes both. One appetizer was not good and desert was terrible.

Casbah is one of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. When it comes to fresh and unique flavors, Casbah always gets it right. On this visit, I had the heirloom tomato salad. The malfadine pasta, and the creme brûlée. The flavors were amazing. I would highly recommend this place if you haven't tried or before. I can't wait for more of their fall menu items to roll out.

Almost all of the dishes were great, but one dish - their signature pork chop - was simply inedible. The meat was hard to cut, hard to chew, hard to swallow. The service met the minimum courtesy requirements, but did not come close to the standards one would expect from a high-end restaurant. Sadly a disappointing experience.

The only problem, as with most restaurants in America, is the noise level. During most of dinner it is difficult to understand the others at your table. This leads to everyone raising their voices, thus making the situation worse. You need to hire an acoustical engineer and figure out what materials you need to dampen the noise level.
