A word from Casanova Restaurant
This intimate, small trattoria has the spirit and the charm you would find on Italy and other countries off the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.

The Chef Daniele Dotti, a native of Venice, has created an eclectic menu that brings to the table the flavors, the traditional recipes and the freshness of ingredients so typical of this region. Our Mediterranean Sea Bass is delicious but if you are in the mood for good pasta try our Linguine Mare Nostrum with a variety of sea food and fresh tomato or our special house made fresh pasta Fettucine Casanova. Now you can enjoy all of this right in the middle of the Grand Canal Shoppes, just a few feet away from Italian gondolas.

The atmosphere and the decor are informal and friendly and children are welcome, but at night it can be ideal for a good glass of wine and a romantic dinner.

a hidden gem between the grand canal shoppes! it took us forever to find it and we were 15 mins late for our reservation but the manager was very kind and put together another table very quickly (for 7!) Prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious and service was awesome. would definitely want to go back and try other dishes.

I had to find a place to host my mother's reception dinner. I read several reviews, and found that Casanova fit our budget but had great reviews on food as well. So thankful I did, food was really good, excellent service, the Venetian and Palazzo were great for pictures, and wine was great.

This is a great restaraunt. The food was excellent and romantic. It was dificult to find, we were pleased with our dinner. We are spoiled being from Seattle, the carpachio and the eggplant were excellent. Maybe the best we have had. Yummy!! Nice Italian selection of wine as well.

Restaurant in the Middle of the Venetian (that's why we chosed it). So, on the downside, quite noisy (but to be expected). Only ordered a main course. My girlfriend went for lobster pasta. She says she is not convinced it was lobster, rather crab. I went for risotto. Rice was not cooked properly, and sea food didn't taste good. We ordered prosecco as an aperitive and white wine by the glass (Veneto) for our dinner. Both of us immediately felt an headache (that was still there the next day). We didn't even finish our glass. Personel was not very friendly. Barely OK I would say. Price was very expensive for the quality.

Other than being hard to find, like many places once inside the Venetian, we had a great meal. It is a fairly small restaurant and service was smart. The menu had something for all of us (including our 8 year old who is quite adventurous in eating). It was a nice meal with a good bottle of wine, without the crowds or noise of many restaurants in Vegas.

Spent a week in LV and ate in a lot of overpriced, over-hyped spots. This lovely little place was not one of them. It was quite (not easy to find LV) and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It was the only relaxing meal I had in all of LV as I ddn't feel like I was being ripped off the entire time I was eating. My only minor issue was its location - in a mall and open on one side to the mall. But it was far enough off the beaten path to still be quite - just ask for a table inside. Enjoy!

We, a group of 8, had dinner here for my sister's birthday before hitting the party bus and a few clubs. The food was delicious and filling. We had dinner the night before at a Sushi place at The Cosmopolitan. Not only was that sushi place expensive but the food portions were tiny. We had to go somewhere else to eat just because we felt like we had a snack and not an actual dinner. Casanova, on the other hand, fed us like we were family; huge portions and the service was OUTSTANDING from start to finish!

My wife and I ate here before a show at the Venetian. The restaurant itself is nice, the service was great and the food was good. The location, however, was not ideal. It is on the edge of a food court and while I loved the setup in a european style with tables out front, unfortunately, instead of a quaint cobblestone street, you get food court traffic. It had us looking wistfully over our shoulders for a seat further inside the restaurant. The prices were appropriate to the food but the wine list was skewed too high. They need to have $30 and $40 bottles of wine to match the food level instead of basically $50 and up. Our bottle of wine cost more than the meal. If you don't drink wine, you will get good food at a fair price.

The service was outstanding, however, the food was bland and not very good. I had the chicken parm. It was drenched in sauce, soggy, bland and without much cheese. The accompanying pasta was just acceptable, but nothing special. The Calamari appetizer was clearly frozen before cooking and a let down. Others in our group of 18 felt the same. There are so many good Italian Restaurants on the strip, this one doesn't make the cut.

My wife and I went to Casanova's and while the food was not bad it was not very memorable. I had the veal piccata and my wife had the sea bass. Like I said, it was not bad but both of us had a ho-hum entree. The spaghetti that was on the dish with my veal was maybe a step above some canned versions. The sauce truly tasted like it and it could have been very memorable but it was not. even the bread they give you is not up to standard for many Italian restaurants.

Casanova is a fair restaurant. Good for lunch. We had mostly Salads, the bacon spinach salad was drowned in a very bland mayo dressing, The Caesar salad was bland Iceberg lettuce. The biggest draw back to the restaurant was the service. Our server came to take our order, started with the first person in our party and was called away by another server and then came back a short while later to take orders. The servers also had trouble remembering what our drink orders were and had to be asked several times to refill our drinks. Bottom line I was not impressed.

Service was a bit slow for a 5:30 dinner time; appeared to have only 1 waiter at that hr. Although we were seated immediately, took awhile before anyone came to acknowledge us. Waiter was very professional and did check on us while we waited for our meals but still surprised how long it took for our salad and entrees to get to us considering there were only 3 couples seated when we arrived and 2 of them were already eating their meals. Meals were great (mushroom ravioli and the eggplant moussaka); restaurant got a lot busier once we started eating. Although we did have tea and dessert, still did not think the whole eating time should have taken hour and a half--in my opinion this was a bit long for casual dining at an early hour.

I can't say there was anything really wrong with the restaurant or service; it was decent. But it wasn't really great either. The food was really the only issue we had, and it wasn't that the meal was bad. It was just marginal, like one would expect from any mall food court. The service and ambiance was fine, and I was satisfied in that regard.

The restaurant was open to the outside Venetian hall which gave it a nice open air feel. It was small and quaint which was well matched with the Italian decor. The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and the warm breads to start could come fast enough for our party of 20 - we all loved it. 20 people, 20 people that would return and recommend to others. Of note: the first bottle of wine I ordered (of 8) I didn't really care for. I was hesitant to send back, but the waiter could tell and quickly offered to bring me something else to try for the table. He made it easy. Chocolate bonbons are a must if you have room left for dessert.

Be warned that this restaurant is in the canal mall at the Venetian, and you may be seated in the middle of the mall walkway. I get what they are trying to do, it's like sitting in the sidewalk of an Italian bistro, which is lovely and charming, but when you are inside of a mall, it does not quite have the same effect. The food was good, and reasonably priced for Vegas, so overall we were happy.

we eat out at lest a couple of times a week service is always a major part of our experience and we usually enjoy the best of service here in las vegas. this particular night this was not the case. our waiter was aloof and showed no friendliness or demonstration of any personality. he did not show any attention at all and then busied himself with other tables not paying any attention to us at all. we sat there waiting for a desert menu and eager for an after dinner espresso and sambuka which is our routine if available. he never did come back to us after we had finished our dinner.
