The pasta was overlooked and over-sauced. The fish was good but served on a cold plate, which made the fish cold ( why, oh why, do restaurants not understand the importance of heated plates?). The coconut sorbet was nicely presented but too sweet.

After spending a week at very loud restaurants and bars, the first thing we enjoyed was the ability to enjoy conversation with our party of ten people. We were seated at a table outside in the back of the restaurant that could not have been better. The next great thing was how well our waiter knew the menu and food. When I tried to alter a dish slightly he suggested not to add in the shrimp as the flavors wouldn't match well. After enjoying my meal thoroughly, I discovered he was spot on. All the food we had was excellent, this included appetizers, entrees as well as deserts. Don't hesitate dining here! Oh, one final note, despite the dress code being noted as business casual on several sites, casual dress was not an issue.

Friend and I split appetizers, salad and dinner. It was perfect. And delicious. We did have wine and beer but no need for dessert. It was our pre-race meal. We had a half marathon the following morning and did not want to over eat. However it was still early in the evening and knew we would be hungry later, so ordered some pasta as take out. The 20% discount on take out was very nice. The main restaurant was a little noisy, not too much. We sat outside and it was very enjoyable.

We found this place when the Yard House was packed. This place was a bit quieter but the food still took a long time to arrive, in spite of the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived at 6 pm. Traditional Italian foods, pasta and seafood. Giovanni was a good waiter and took good care of our needs.

I booked this restaurant based on my great experience at Casa Nostra in the Palisades. Wow, what a disappointment! This restaurant feels like its made for tourists and visitors who will never come back. Menu is very limited and badly presented, food is pricey and average, service is poor. My party was very disappointed and I am sure none of us will go back.

Hit extreme busy night. While some in our party were late, all had to wait long to order and to get food - which actually came too late. Manager excused himself and gave discount and we took it in a bag. Sometimes restaurants can be overwhelmed (especially when most patrons have to for a nearby event) I excuse that and accept the managers apology. BUT: the food itself was ranging from 'excellent' (salad) to "lousy" (Piccata). The Piccata was thrown together:chicken was basically tasteless, the gravy was thin also pretty tasteless.Tasted as if base came out of a tin and they just added the capers because they ran out of their normal gravy...maybe, they did. I will not find out, because I will not try it again.

This place has had several owners, the first time I've been here since Casa Nostra took over. The food is ok, nothing special. Their olive oil, however, was exceptional, spicy and a tad bitter olive. We shared the small plates and one pasta dish. Everything was tasty!

This is the best Italian restaurant in DTLA. It's reasonably priced for DTLA. Everyone is super friendly. The food is good. It was my assistant's birthday so we went there for lunch and they even brought us a free dessert. I can eat here everyday and the only reason that I don't is because I would probably gain 10 lbs a month eating there delicious pasta!! I love it here.

Food was ok, nothing to be raving about nor to be excessively priced as it was. Service was ok to mediocre and unfortunately I expected more due to the previous reviews. The restaurant was almost empty for a Saturday night so I was expecting stellar service which did happen, and even though we had made birthday reservations there was not a single moment attention was brought up for the occasion we were there for. I would most likely not return or recommend this restaurant. I have high expectations if you plan to rate yourself a 4 star restaurant, pay for an over priced dinner and poor/mediocre service.

Excellent service. Very friendly and professional staff. Great ambience - classy yet comfortable. Had an early dinner on the patio on a Monday. It was quiet, but around 5:30 people came in and enjoyed drinks at the bar. Prices are reasonable. Food was very good. Parking is a breeze; there is a structure adjacent to the restaurant with a walkthrough directly to the restaurant. And there is validation so we paid nothing to park.

The is the second time we have visited. The first time (outside) was considerably better. Also, this visit was much more crowded (pre-Staples show) and the wait-staff just couldn't seem to handle the number of people in the restaurant. The drinks took 10-15 minutes to arrive and the waiter was no where to be found except when bringing out food. Still, I think their food is very good and would not hesitate to return on a less busy night.

We came on a Thursday night and got seated right away. My husband ordered the lasagna, and I ordered the pork leg osso buco. Good solid food, but salty. Also, the risotto that came with the osso buco tasted of minerals, like water from the tap. Other than that, the lasagna was tasty, osso buco was flavorful and tender, and the atmosphere was nice and quiet (in the patio). The inside seating was noisy, because of the bar.

This is a great little restaurant that has excellent service. Everyone, from the waitstaff to the owner, were fantastic. There is free validated parking, which is a rarity downtown. The food was very good, albeit a little more costly than I am used to, but understandable, due to the location. We came in with a Groupon and were not treated any differently from others who came in. Although the signage outside and the ordinary menu...preserved in lamenite...initially turned us off...the Italian waiter was very personable and a delight to go through the menu with...we ordered specials not included in the menu fare. Then the food arrived....the pasta was very delicious and fresh...but the halibut had to have been previously frozen as it was dry and fishy...the bronzino was a better choice...Our waiter left mid meal and we had no wait staff to bring the meal home. Service being part of the experience was non-existent and we would not return!
