Casa LolaOutstanding PR cuisineI have been to Casa Lola a few times and the food has always been nothing but outstanding, it truly is one of THE best places to eat puerto rican food on the island. Since im a native to the island i think thats a pretty big compliment. There cocktails are simply ridiculously good, especially the one with cucumber. I personally dont write many reviews but this places deserves a great mention.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWell recommended and excellent!Repurposed old (residential?) structure, pretty spaces, beautiful lagoon view, unobtrusive service, wonderful food. The grouper ceviche and the calamari in candied sesame were stand-outs. Chilean shrimp the size of petite lobster tail and very flavorful. I love plantains which come everything in some form or another. Both sangrias are different and delicious. Catena Malbec great with dinner.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was awesome and ourThe food was awesome and our waiter, Alfredo, gave us great service and recommendations for both food and wine. The restaurant had run out of our chosen wine and Alfredo recommended a less expensive one as a substitute and it was terrific. WAY TOO NOISY, THOUGH!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMCasa Lola never disapointsCasa Lola never disapoints - I have been multiple times and tried different dishes between myself and my boyfriend and am always impressed with the flavors. I would recommend and return3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my husband on a longI took my husband on a long weekend trip to Puerto Rico for his 40th birthday. I researched and found this gem of a restaurant for his special celebratory dinner, made a reservation instantly. ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS! It was a fantastic experience -- from Joseph, our server, who was extremely attentive and courteous...to the amazing food, beautifully prepared, fresh and tasty. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are exactly what I was personally looking for, just my style, and contemporary, sleek and CLEAN! I would go back in an instant, and would highly recommend to anyone. Prices are comparable and expected in the area.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful DinnerWe recently had dinner at Casa Lola and it was a great experience from start to finish. We were seated in a booth overlooking the bay which was beautiful. Our waiter, Juan Carlos, was excellent. He answered many questions about the menu and continued with outstanding service during dinner. Our food was very tasty, and the portions were great. I would highly recommend having dinner here.It was a weonderful evening.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMMe gustó el lugar en general,Me gustó el lugar en general, con excepción de un altercado entre clientes detras de nosotros, el mesero Oscar es tremenda persona y empleado, la comida y sus recomendaciones fueron excelentes.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWell worth time and money!Got to the restaurant early and were given the option of a drink at the bar or to go directly to our table. We opted for a drink first and got the house sangria-an excellent choice! While there we were also given a taste of the Lola Lova-a smoothie type mixed drink that was even better! The bartenders were great and kept busy.I had an appetizer of cerviche, of which they had 5-6 different types. It was enough for two and excellent. My companion had the grilled shrimp for an entree which were HUGE! and I had the yellow-tail snapper which, while whole, was cooked to perfection and delicious.Moist chocolate cake ended the delightful dinner with a waiter who was attentive and attractive as well. I highly recommend eating here while in San Ju3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMA must try!!!This was one of the best restaurants we ate at while being in PR for the first time. I am glad we saved the best for last. The PR baseball game was on, so our server was not so attentive, but can't complain about the food. You have to try the Yellowtail Snapper.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOver-the-top experienceMy husband and I were lucky enough to go here our last night in San Juan. I wish we'd come our first night. We WILL be back here on future visits. EVERYTHING was excellent. This place has it together. The food, service, atmosphere, presentation were Five-Star quality. We thought the food was outstanding, our waiter was attentive and helpful, and the food was spectacular. The plantain nachos were fantastic. Everything we had was a little unexpected, but we loved every bite! Sangria was made to order and yummy.1/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst night in Puerto RicoFirst night in Puerto Rico and happy we started out at this great restaurant. Great waiter and service. The best sangria I had all week. You must get the Garlic shrimp the shrimp and this size of lobster tails and so yummy!12/26/2012 12:00:00 AMThe second time around...My first visit to Casa Lola, was soon after the restaurant opened. At that time I did not like the menu, food and service were just plain bad, and I said that I would never return.
Recently, however, I was invited to Casa Lola and I'm happy to say that this time it was excellent. The menu has been changed and, most important, everything that my dinning companion and I ordered was excellent or at least very good.
Try Casa Lola.12/21/2012 12:00:00 AM
