Casa De CobreThe staff at Casa de CobreThe staff at Casa de Cobre is so accomodating and polite. I love this place! The food is definately fine dining and the presentation is beautiful.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have eaten here severalWe have eaten here several times over the past few years and once per week for the last month. The food is very good & almost the whole menu is gluten free! It's a nice fresh & healthy alternative to traditional Mexican. Our favorites include: Guacamole, Street Tacos, Chile Relleno de Puerco, Paella de Conquistadors, Entomatado, Pollo Santa Clara del Cobre, the purist margarita (I request no or very little agave) Yum!!!6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMSolid PlaceWe like Casa De Cobre and go there with out of town guests. We bring our 3 year old daughter and she enjoys the pancakes on the kids menu - yes, even pancakes for dinner. The hamburger is incredible even though it feels funny ordering a hamburger at a Mexican place. Skinny margaritas are good too. A fun place to go - not so much "traditional" Mexican - a nice twist.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMI've never had anything lessI've never had anything less than an excellent meal here, and this visit was no exception. We had the chicken flautas for an appetizer and the crab enchiladas for our entree. The flautas were perfectly crispy but light and flaky, and the crab enchiladas had the perfect balance between perfectly cooked delicate crab and the chile flavor of the sauce.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat take on not-so-Mexican foodWe really like Andrew's Basin restaurant a few doors away and wanted something a little lighter before a concert. Didn't quite expect the high end quality and selection we found. All four of us had excellent entre's. A risotto unlike anything had before, a chile relleno with real Mexican cheeses and a more refined take on a red sauce, and excellent fish of the day perfectly cooked and presented. Service was prompt and friendly. For higher end, more refined Mexican inspired meal, this is the place to go.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great!Once again we met friends at Casa de Cobre for a FABULOUS meal. Food is amazing and any special requests were happily taken care of. Perfect from the first margarita to the Choco Flan!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it!This was my first visit and it was amazing. The service (shout out to Lorena) was amazing. Lorena was SUPER friendly and really helpful. Never had to ask for anything a second time, she was really on top of things. The food...WOW! One of the best meals I've had in a while, loved it. I had the halibut special which Lorena recommended and it was delicious! The ceviche is great too. A little different - sort of sweet. A+ overall!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Mexican restaurant in areaThe food at Casa De Cobre, is the best Mexican food I've found in this area. The wine was very good, but choices by the glass were limited. Service was great. The sound level was good until a loud group came into the restaurant and were seated beside us, but I suppose that can happen almost anywhere.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSurprisingly solid for SaratogaShared a couple small plates and one entree. Loved the variety (goat stew!). Guacamole could have been seasoned better, great salsas, fresh made tortilla chips. *Outstanding* ceviche, salad was eh- too sweet w/ stem'y argula.
Little loud- when we asked for a quiet table, we were seated *right* next to a large party celebrating. Odd, given there were quieter, smaller areas we could have been seated in.
Overall, very good, will return to explore the menu more.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful findA very good restaurant. We were visiting the area and wanted to find a place with good food that was t too expensive or noisy. Case de Cobre was perfect --service was attentive and food was perfect.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMCasa de CobreOur server was kind and attentive. The food is good, but I would like to see more dishes without heavy sauces. For example, chile rellano is one of my favorites, but the sause is way too heavy. I've had appetizers there before that were outstanding. The jalepeno vodka martini is good...just spicy enough. We enjoy sitting outside, but it can get noisy.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was my second time atThis was my second time at Casa De Cobre and I really enjoyed it. We were able to sit outside on the patio which was really nice. It did get cold once the sun went down and for some reason both of their outdoor heaters were broken. I think they were probably just out of propane. Our waitress explained a lot of things about the menu for us and offered her suggestions which was helpful. I had the crab enchiladas and my friend had the vegetarian cheese stuffed chile renello. We both liked our dishes. The chips and guacamole were good too so definitely get those. I had a great red wine sangria too. Definitely make reservations as the place does get crowded, especially if you want to sit outside.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI had the fish tacos and sharedI had the fish tacos and shared the queso fundido with my friend. The tacos were delicious - homemade thick tortillas, grilled (not fried!) flaky fish perfectly done and marinated cabbage topped them off. The queso fundido was also really good. The table shared the guacamole which was good; nothing special, but good. A friend had the carne asada taco which she said was excellent and another friend had nopales which she said were great. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was great and we were lucky enough to be one of two tables on the patio. They even brought me a delicious chocolate soufle (?) cake for my birthday!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe bar needed 2 ppl to handleThe bar needed 2 ppl to handle the crowd. Very busy for 1 person to handle. Kind of felt bad to ask for drinks etc4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've eaten here many timesWe've eaten here many times and it never disappoints. Chips/salsa/guac always yummy, and the fish tacos are the best!3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
