Diner Reviews
  • "Clearly the best Italian Food in the Lauderdale are!"
    Dined on 4/15/2014
  • "I had a birthday dinner here I'll never forget. The branzino was to die for. When I return to Fort Lauderdale, I will return to Casa D'Angelo."

  • "This place is great! The service is terrific: knowledgable, attentive and very friendly. Our daughter has life threatening food allergies and Angelo (the owner) assured us and saw to it that her food was properly prepared. Our meals were wonderful and we would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Service was perfect...food was amazing. So much so, we had to go back a second night. Again, the experience couldn't have been any better. Food was at its perfection. Obviously, each team member--whether in the kitchen or out front--takes extreme pride in what they do."

  • "This visit, the service and pace of the dinner were noticeably sluggish. The restaurant was swamped and every table occupied. That considered, a fabulous meal as always. Food quality and preparation were superb. The lobster tail in the seafood pasta special, was exactly that. Special. Great wine selections and some reasonably priced. Have yet to be disappointed, Bravo!"

  • "This was our first time dinning here. On the recommendation of numerous friends, we finally gave it a try. I could kick myself for not trying it sooner. Hands down the closest food to Italy you will have anywhere. We are already making plans to visit our new favorite restaurant."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Very good restaurant. The osso buco was excellent and the wine perfect. The service between the apetizer and the entree was too much quick."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "The food was phenomonal! Atmosphere was great. Excelllent service included a table visit by the chef to ensure we enjoyed our meal."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "Usually excellent, but apparently an off night. Unattentive service, fatty and overcooked veal chops, salty marsalla."
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "We've been here about 5-6 times now. The food is fantastic, portions are hearty, service is impeccable, and the wine list is robust! We visited both the Ft. Lauderdale and Boca locations, and found the staff to be more friendly & accommodating in Ft. Lauderdale. Brought my "foodie" friends last week and they LOVED it!"

  • "This is the second time that I have been to this restaurant. I have enjoyed it both times."
    Dined on 3/27/2014
  • "Excellent in every respect! Will certainly return!"

  • "This place rocks! Great food great service, no complaints. A gem!"

  • "Casa D' Angelo is a Fort Lauderdale hotspot that is very popular. It has excellent service and ambiance. The italian specialties are excellent. Delicious lasagna and fish. The branzino was very well prepared! The wine list is stellar. If an italian menu is on your mind, give it a try."
    Dined on 3/24/2014
  • "Casa D' Angelo is a long time favorite of ours. Look for places the locals frequent and that should be a good sign, and lots of locals frequent here. Any night is pretty booked, so make a reservation, but excellent food and service is always present, so well worth the stretch. Prices are not out of line, and the Ricotta Cheescake dessert is incredible. Great choice for dinner."

  • "It was our second time dining there. The service and food was excellent."
    Dined on 3/23/2014
  • "excellent food with knowledgeable exerieced staff. great wines but pricey. sometimes slow on seating despite reservations on weekends. in back room can make one feel a like forgotten child. ask for front rooms or outside on a nice evening."
    Dined on 3/9/2014
  • "After all the reviews I expected to be blown away with the food and although it was good it wasn't great. After living in NYC I guess it'll be difficult for us to find a great Italian restaurant anywhere else except perhaps Italy. The food was good, our waiter was great and very helpful and we had a very nice evening."

  • "I've been comng to Fort Lauderdale regularly for the past 15 years. Casa D'Angelo is by far the most refined Italian dining that I've discovered so far. You're palate is pampered by the taste of the ingredients instead of being doused with salt and spices to mask them."
    Dined on 3/6/2014
  • "Only place we dine in Fort Lauderdale - as a parent of a child with a severe nut allergy, Casa D'Angelo has no nuts on their menu and us very accommodating to the kids' needs. Anything choice from the menu is delicious but the pastas are our favourite. You won't be disappointed. Staff is very friendly and accommodating."

  • "It's now very expensive to eat at Casa D'Angelo. The venue is about as swanky as it gets in town. But the decor alone cannot justify the now very high prices when the food is at best mediocre and the service is hit and miss. We both ordered 'specials', one veal chop and one rib eye steak. The meat in both cases was good, but the few accompanying vegetables and potatoes and the sauces were terrible. Soggy veg, greasy stuck together sautéed potatoes. When the check came and the price of these dishes was found to be $58 we were surprised. Poor value for money. Avoid the tiramisu, I assure you it'll be one of the worse you'll ever eat. Avoid the gnocchi - opt for a catering can of tomatoes poured over some glutenous, stodgy dough instead."

  • "I liked this place the first time and this was my second. Both really good. Only 'complaint' this time is we had a new waiter who was nervous and slow. Kind of took away from the romance but he grew on us by the end of the night."

  • "Casa D'Angelo reigns as THE finest (Italian) dining in Ft. Lauderdale. Seriously! It's the "real deal". Excellence is the theme, and is served with seeming effortlessness."
    Dined on 3/4/2014
  • "Food continues to be outstanding. Wait staff bend over backwards to accomodate your needs."

  • "Simply the best food in Fort Lauderdale. The salad is awesome. Service is courteous and attentive without being overbearing. Home made pastas, great veal chop, the Branzini was done perfectly. Even though it is in a strip mall the ambiance inside is very nice. Highly recommend"

  • "My wife and I were in US celebrating our 35th anniversary and our kids in Brazil booked for us thru the internet this special dinner that was a surprise since came in an envelop that we suppose to open it on the day of our anniversary given by them in the airport before we left Brazil. Open the gift was an amazing surprise and the night at D'Angelo kept it in the same feeling: Amazing. Nice folks, food and wine. Hope be back soon."

  • "We started with a prawns wrapped in pancetta that were cooked perfectly, with just the right firmness and the pancetta crispy. The arugula salad with chopped tomatoes and shaved reggiano was served with a lemon vinaigrette, with just the right amount of tartness. Our main course choises were Chilean Sea Bass that was a special and a pasta dish. First the Sea Bass, melted in my mouth, perfectly cooked, outstanding presentation. The pasta dish had whole wheat penne pasta aldente with sun-dryed tomatoes, spinach, sliced chicken breast that was tender and juicy. The flavors blended perfectly together. For desert we had the warm apple tart with home made cinnamon gelato, and tiramisu. Service was impecable, in this must visit restaurant."

  • "Overall good experience and will definitely return. The waiter kept touching me and I found this uncomfortable. Didn't want to have a scene so I let it go. But it's very unbecoming for a good restaurant ."

  • "I've never had a disappointing experience here. It's our go-to place for special occasions and when we just want to get away by ourselves for a romantic time together. Try to reserve one of the back rooms."

  • "Absolutlely delicious.. Great service, one of my all time favorites."

  • "Luv, luv, luv Casa D'Angelo. It is pricy but always worth it and consistent. It was perfect for Valentines. I love it when the owner of a restaurant walks the dining room and gets a feel for the people and is conscience of what's going on and assisting where needed. That's a true owner. It reminds me of Biba Caggiano in Sacramento, where I'm from. The specials continue to be out of this world. The jumbo prawns are always a fav"

  • "This was my first time dining on Valentines Day and we went with another couple. We had reservations but they were about an hour behind which, was fine, completely understandable and in the end totally worth it. The food was amazing, the wine exceptional and the service was really great even as busy as they were. We will definitely be back!"
