We ordered and reordered the starters only; never got to the entres on the menu. Chicken Lollipops and Fries with Truffle oil were huge favorites as was Kale salad. Plenty of drinks......

My BF and I chose this place to dine before a concert at the Saban Theater because it had pretty good reviews on Yelp. We weren't impressed. The server, though totally sweet, seemed nervous and not very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was just ok. The Chicken Lollipops were good, but the cauliflower and pork chop weren't very flavorful and the ribeye didn't seem like a ribeye at all. It was very chewy and not flavorful. It wasn't bad, it was just totally forgettable and felt like the service staff doesn't normally serve dinner or something since it is mostly a bar. However, it was a Saturday night yet the bar was pretty empty when we left at 7:30 and still empty when we walked by after the concert at 11.

I am going to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt since they are new. The food we had was pretty good - flatbread and burger. But the person next to us said his food was not edible. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night and the service left a lot to be desired. The waiter didn't know the beers on tap, it took awhile for our food to come out even though it wasn't bugs, and the wait staff wasn't good about reading the customers needs.

Food was really good and the cadillac margaritas were made just right! Had a very personable waiter, who was very friendly and helpful with our food orders. The Pork Chop is a must have when you go. The Cheesesteak appitizers are to die for! Will be going back to try other things on the menu!

We stopped in before a show at the Saban. We were originally seated in the back booth area. It was brightly lit with a large screen TV playing a sports and people wearing jerseys loudly participating from their seats. Not exactly a dining atmosphere. We moved ourselves 1/2 into the bar area only to realize the fans were still very loud. We moved once again to the other side of the restaurant and found a dimly lit table that would work but it was dark and there was nobody in the area at all. From there service was great. They missed our cauliflower order which was a bummer so our server comp'd and item. I would go ahead for a bite before a show, but wouldn't consider this a fine dining experience due to the atmosphere.

Lets start with the positive. Food was really good. The Caesar salad was actually better than the Michael Mina Caesar Salad from Bourbon Steak. The flat bread was good(nothing amazing, but just what we wanted). Now for the bad. Is this place a restaurant, bar/lounge, sports bar or a club? Because, it tried to be all of them while we were there. This should not be an OpenTable reservation restaurant as this is not a restaurant by any means. Had I taken more time to read reviews and drill down deeper, I would not have gone here. We actually had to move tables because our was littered with food under the table when we sat down. The room had a constant smell that was overpowering.

Took a date to Carson House. We were both running late and most other restaurants in the area close at 10 during the week. Carson House is listed as open till 2am so we went. It just opened in June. Really great atmosphere with a variety of seating options - from a traditional table to lounge seating to raised bar tables. The food was _excellent_. We came in at the end of the rush, so the music was still a bit loud and the air conditioning was a bit colder than most people would probably like. Overall, it was a great time. Will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly, nice, and very accommodating. The food was very good. If you're dining, the noise from the bar was very loud. Go on a night when there's no sports on TV. I will definitely be back for the food.

The food was amazing. My girl even ate a couple things she said she didn't like because the chef's preparation was just that good! The staff was great too. Super sweet waitress and the manager came to make sure we were having a good dining experience. We will be back!

My friends and I were thrilled to find another neighborhood place to try out. Upon entering the place seem nicely spaced out, but there was a disconnect. It seemed like there was something missing. I do think the decor needs a bit of rethinking. We felt it was a work in progress still since the place is new. Overall, the food was good, but the tar tar tacos were not seasoned well enough. It was quite bland. Needed some acidity and maybe heat like fresh jalapenos. Overall assessment is that we might come by again in a few months to see if things have improved.

Let it be clear that this is a BAR that supposedly serves food but we never received any! We had an 8pm reservation, arrived on time and were seated in the back bar area. Waited 10 mns for a waiter and waited another 20 mns and did not receive any food and did not see the waiter again. So after 30 mms total all we received was a glass of water from the busboy, no place settings, no bread, nothing. it was an unbelievable experience - especially considering the reviews on here. We complained to the hostess twice, but nothing changed.

I found this restaurant online when looking for somewhere new to go. We arrived to find there was a charity event for about 50 people in their mid-20's so can't speak on what the crowd is normally BUT the rest of the people that were their weren't reflective of the type of spot we would go to normally either. The waitress, Kelly was great and the food was great too. Perhaps we'll try it again to see if the crowd is better. The ambiance is just fair

Loved the restaurant, friendly and welcoming with great service from Nick, our waiter. Starters all looked amazing so we decided to sample a few starters in place of entrees and we also ordered the fig flatbread and the beet salad. Everything was delicious especially the chicken lollipops and mac & cheese with crayfish. Also loved the cauliflower. It was an original menu and nothing disappointed us. We will be back for sure, a great find

I honestly felt like I'd walked into an episode of Mystery Diners. No valet. Walked through a bunch of dead furniture in the back. Walked through the only booth (traditional seating area) and it looked like the manager was arguing with the meat supplier or something. Walked up front. Large noisy table of people. Staff didn't know how to get us a table. Kept trying to blow us off to a 'high top.' Great for a sports bar, not so great for a dining. We walked out. Checked the 'food' box because I had to in order to submit this form, but it is unfair, because we didn't eat there. Should have a 'not applicable box.

I make it a point to try new restaurants, and this offering had real potential due to menu and location. The server made best efforts, but could not overcome the shortcomings of the kitchern. 4 of us dined, and ordered at least 10 different items across the menu -- selections were some combination of underseasoned, overseasoned, undercooked, overcooked, poorly presented, or not dressed as described. Only one item was acceptable as described on the menu. Overall, I can see them getting to a 'good' level if they acknowledge and address their executional issues. Perhaps it was just one off night, I rather that be the case....I'm not fond of providing feedback like this.

Carson house is only a few blocks from the Saban Theater on Wilshire Blvd. for pre or post theater dining. I went with a group of 3. The restaurant had only been open 2 weeks, so it was not crowded. My table ordered appetizers, entrees, and dessert. All were good. Service was very attentive. Not all items on the bar menu are available yet, but there is enough to choose something.

The menu offers a wide selection of innovative food that you would not find elsewhere. Great take on comfort foods. The philly cheese pot stickers are great. The cauliflower and feta cheese is an incredible combination (beware the size). The pretzels are amazing. The Dijon whip is addictive! The shake-n-bake porkchop is a must. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu!
