  • "Enjoyed a great lunch on their outdoor deck looking out at the Annapolis harbor. Nice summer day, great food and craft beer selection, with a beautiful view. The Greek seaford salad was a big hit and save room for the homemade desserts. Outstanding bread pudding"

  • "We went here for dinner and drinks early on a Saturday evening and promptly got sat outside. The view of Annapolis is outstanding, but the service left a lot to be desired. Our server was edgy and S-L-O-W. Drinks (alcoholic and otherwise) were slow to come, and sat empty for a while before she would return, then sat empty for a while longer until she returned with our next drink order. The Cream of Crab soup was filling, and made even better by the sherry (although we had to ask for it despite it being listed on the menu as an accompaniment). I go the crab cake, and my wife got the shrimp sandwich, neither of which was amazing, but both were satisfying. Overall, over priced, but a great view."

  • "I and a friend dined at Carrol's Creek on Sunday, July 6. We were asked if we wanted to dine outside, but declined and ate inside due to my friend having sun allergies. The food was scrumptious......she ordered one of the specials, Lamb Chops, and I ordered Rockfish with spinach and crab....superb!!!!! Most notable was our waiter who was very attentive (without being overbearing) throughout our stay. He even reminded us to get our parking validated which saved me $9. We were seated by a window overlooking the boats on the water...very scenic view. I have been a few times before, and would definitely return again. It is a fabulous restaurant with great food and spirits!!!"

  • "We have been going to Carol's Creek every year for our anniversary since we got married in 2008. This is a fabulous restaurant. The food is outstanding and the service is usually very good. This dining experience was particularly good. My salmon dish, one of their specialties, was perfect. My wife had the scallops and black beans which was a special that night and she loved it. But what made this experience better than normal was our server, Rose. She was a true delight and made us feel very special."

  • "This was a great dining experience. I went in for the 4th expecting the worse. I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the food was great."

  • "The fish dishes were very good, if a little on the heavy side. Service was so-so. Our waiter went over the menu, but did not tell us about specials. We overheard him telling another table after we had ordered. The wine list is disappointing. We had a lovely spot on the outside deck to watch the sunset."

  • "I have wanted to try Carol's for years and it absolutely did not disappoint. The deck has a fabulous view and everything we had was excellent -- from the calamari appetizer to softshell crab sandwich -- perfectly seasoned and done! I will definitely be back. Food highlight of our trip to Annapolis!"

  • "Food was very good but to charge 14.00 to add a very small crab cake to a salad was over priced. Service was not good due to the fact they had several very young servers. We had to ask for a bread basket and noticed other's had to also. Seems like they are cutting corners."

  • "Everything was fantastic. The food was even better than the view, which was amazing. We has a table outside on the water and were treated to a perfect summer sunset. Server was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go again."

  • "The location is beautiful and the service was perfect. I asked for vegetables to replace my home fries and the waiter was more than happy to check with chef and make that happen"

  • "We had been to Carrol's Creek several times for dinner, but this was our first time for brunch. We had reservations for 9:30 a.m. The restaurant wasn't crowded at that time. Since the weather was perfect, we opted to eat outside. What a beautiful view! The brunch menu is extensive and includes some of Carrol's Creek's favorite lunch items. There were 3 of us: one had a bagel with house-smoked salmon, one had tenderloin eggs benedict (an interesting take on steak and eggs) and I had shrimp and grits. Everyone was pleased with their choice. Portions are good and the price is fair. Service was excellent. This is our new favorite place to take out-of-town guests for brunch."

  • "Salads and small plates are very good. Rockfish and soft shell crab are always prepared well. This is on our short list og favorite local eateries."

  • "Carrol's Creek Cafe was a wonderful place to visit while in Annapolis. The setting is beautiful and an added plus is they have a parking lot and will stamp your parking ticket for free two hour parking. The views are so peaceful and there is plenty of action going on as you look our over the water. The food was delicious and the service was terrific!"

  • "Wine list was limited and seemed to largely be grocery store wines. I got the mahi-mahi which was fabulous. My boyfriend got the halibut and it was very bland but cooked well. Service was great."

  • "I made reservations to celebrate my friends birthday. The table was great along with the view of the water. All of the wait staff were excellent. The food and drinks were great as well. I would recommend this restaurant. I wish the main course menu provided more of diverse seafood selection.. We ordered two of the smaller plates for our appetizer to make up for the difference in the main course selection."

  • "the rock fish was fabulous also the special soft shell crabs, but the Italian seafood soup was not so great(the broth was very thin and not alot of flavor. The ladies chose well but the men did not so it will be hard getting the guys to come back. We can be persuasive though."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "Dinner entrees were good but not great. Halibut and lobster were a little overcooked and slightly dry. By far best option is to order small plates. Taste, presentation, and variety were outstanding. Don't miss their signature phyllo wrapped scallops. Wonderful."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "All of our food was superb! Service was great but not stuffy. Loved the slight twist on food combinations.... The scallops in shredded phyllo was delicious! Just go there.... And don't pay attention to the business casual dress code... Lots of guys in shorts."

  • "My wife and I went to Carrol's Creek Cafe for our anniversary. What a fantastic choice! Food was awesome, service was attentive and helpful and the location is tremendous. We could not have asked for a better evening!"

  • "While the menu is very interesting, there is only one choice for vegetarians. The same vegetarian entree has been on the menu for years. It would be nice if chef could be as creative with a couple of vegetarian dishes as with the rest of the menu. Please, don't add a pasta dish as the vegetarian item -- how boring. Vegetarian is more than just vegetables or an entree without meat."

  • "Enjoyed the crab cakes of a lifetime this week, along with wonderfully-responsive service. All entrees in our group were served hot, and looked beautiful on the plate. The flavor combinations and presentation make this one of my favorites. To say nothing of the knockout view of Annapolis."

  • "Lovely setting overlooking the harbor of Annapolis. Food was very good, but felt we were "bait and switched" with the menu. Arrived at ~5:30 and noticed that Appetizers and small plates were half price from 4-7PM. We enjoyed several, all of which were quite good. However we soon learned that the "half price" applied to eating in the bar and lounge, not out on the outdoor deck. Funny, it didn't say that on the menu until the couple next to us asked and we then asked as well...best we got was a "sorry" from our server. Decided not to push it with the manager (probably mistake on my part). Also who determines the "Best" cream of crab soup in Maryland? This is 5th place I know with that "claim"; go to Arpeggios in Springhouse, PA instead"

  • "Carrol's Creek has been our special-occasion restaurant for years, but the prices often prohibited us from making more frequent visits. The small plates menu is a great way to make it more affordable, and the selections are just as tasty as those from the regular menu. The outdoor deck is wonderful -- a perfect way to spend an evening."

  • "We went for dinner before a show at the Ram's Head and it was DELICIOUS!!. The cream of crab soup was rich and creamy with big chunks of crab. We also had calamari and it was also excellent!. For dinner I had the Mahi Mahi. The portion was very large and cooked perfect. Others in our party had the Rockfish and it also was large and wonderful! The Salmon was also just as good. My wife's risotto was excellent as well! She is a huge fan of risotto and thought it was perfect!. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Annapolis."

  • "The location is awesome - right on the harbor with a view of the State Capitol downtown. The service was very friendly. The food was delicious, although not gourmet-level given the price. Overall, if you value the location then its a great bet."

  • "The view is hard to beat. So if you sit outside, you will love it. The Cream of crab soup was wonderful. It could have been hotter. I am picky about the temperature of my soup - it's gotta be hot. Salad was very good and fresh. Can't go wrong here."

  • "We've been going to Carol's Creek for many years and always for our wedding anniversary. This year we were a bit disappointed with them. The food was great as usual and our server was terrific. Our table was not. They sat us at a table that is right next to the busing station. So we had to endure the clatter of plates and dishes being cleaned off which at times was quite loud. Other than that our experience there continues to be very good. Oh yes, be sure to ask for bread if you want it as it is now "on request only"."

  • "Carroll's Creek is one of our "go to" restaurants for both special occasions and when we need to recover from a tough day or two. The food and service are always excellent ... order anything on the menu & you won't ever be disappointed."

  • "We have gone to Carol's Creek Cafe several times, and always find the food to be delicious and the service to be excellent. Their french onion soup is not to be missed. On a recent trip, we had the rib-eye steak and lobster tails specials. Both were cooked exactly as ordered, the side dishes of roasted potatoes and scalloped potatoes were very tasty. The restaurant is right on the water, so be sure to ask for a table with a view when reserving. It also has outside dining on a first come basis. We are members of their frequent diner program and will definitely go back again."

  • "My family enjoyed a wonderful lunch at CCC after my daughter's 8th grade graduation. Food, service, ease of making reservation, scenic view, and beautiful outdoor dining using a sun umbrella was great. We so enjoyed ourselves that we returned for Father's Day. We experienced a similar dinner outing except our waitress was not as cordial and we were at a table with direct sunlight and could not use a sun umbrella. The combination of one glass of wine, a hot (delicious) meal, and scorching sun made it impossible to finish our meal. I suggest seating outdoor and in shade, with at least the availability of an umbrella. Our first visit was just about perfect, however our second visit needed improvement. I would recommend CCC."

  • "The food was wonderful as always. We had the Cesar salad which is made table side for 2, perfect every time. The service is very good also. Too bad they don't have their Sunday Brunch buffet any more."

  • "We have been going to Carrol's Creek Café for over 30 years and in all that time have never been disappointed. This time we were lucky enough to have a day with perfect weather. We enjoyed a drink on the deck before heading to our table inside. Our service was outstanding and, as always, the food was creative and delicious. An absolutely delightful evening. Can't wait to go back ... again and again."

  • "Unless you are from out of town and staying at the nearby hotel this restaurant isn't worth your time. The service is lacking, we asked on our reservations to have a table by the window, yet the table by the window was in front of a 'bar' with ketchup bottles and silverware. The food was so so and you can find much better service and quality food around town. We have not visited this restaurant in many years and decided to celebrate there for an early Fathers day dinner and would NOT go back."

  • "Carrol's Creek has a great view of Annapolis. We were there on a perfect spring day and enjoyed the view of sail boats and downtown Annapolis on the deck. The food was delicious. We took friends from D.C. who dine at some of the best restaurants there and they were impressed! Since we were there on Sunday, the brunch ended at 2:00 and the dinner menu kicked in at 3:00 so we ordered from their light fare menu. I thought I would be disappointed, but the food was delicious and very satisfying. If there was a complaint, it was that the service was a bit slow, but we were not in a rush and we had lots of time to talk and take in the scenery."

  • "Beautiful outdoor views. Stick with seafood. My southwestern scallops were delicious, husband's steak was not the best of cuts and potatoes just okay. Wanted to order the table side Caesar salad but that was not available on the outside deck. Upon arrival we were deciding to sit in or out...would have been nice if the hostess had mentioned that."
