We've been here several times for dinner. I love the ambience. Feels comfy and relaxed. Food has always been delicious. Very consistent. Bread is to die for. Chicken or veal parm dishes a family favorite. I had the fettuccine Mediterranean. Really good seafood dish with pasta.

First, I am a regular. Second, I love Italian food. Combine that with the service, ambiance, the best wine list in town, and the extraordinary selections and food preparation, this is a winner all around. I frequently ask for variations from the menu, and they are accommodated seamlessly. There are so many food options that my biggest problem choosing one, and I have never been disappointed. The knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff makes this my favorite restaurant in Annapolis.

We arrived 5 mins before our reservation time and stood at the door with 3 other parties for at least 10mins without any acknowledgement. A waiter walked by and a couple behind us asked if they could just take a 2 top near the bar. As he was preparing to seat them, we spoke up stated that we had a reservation and another couple also chimed in. At that time a manager? Owner? came up and directed him to prepare some tables in the dining room for us. Then our waitress was slow. Our main course took longer to get to us than 2 tables near by who were seated agree us were served. She apologized and offered to comp us dessert.

My wife and I had great date night out and dined at the bar. The food was outstanding and taking the time for a nice bottle of wine made the night. We eat here occasionally - in large groups and with our kids. We have never had a bad night here.

The host looked up our reservation with disinterest. We 4 were seated as close to the very noisy bar as it was possible. We asked to be moved. We were given one excuse after another as to why we couldn't change tables immediately. We felt like second class citizens and those other tables were being held for people more important. Upon being moved another basket of focaccia arrived. It was soggy. MY husband's Mediterranean seafood pasta had 2 shrimp and 1 scallop. Our friend ordered the branzino and kale. It had a strong metallic aftertaste and was not good. His piece of fish was VERY small. When the bills came our bill showed $4.00 for his kale. All around very disappointing. We will not return. We will tell all our friends.

I didn't expect much from a restaurant in a building complex but, I must admit, I was wrong. Carpaccio is a find. It certainly isn't a red sauce neighborhood Italian restaurant but the prices, while not cheap, aren't those of a trendy price over food establishment. The linguini and clams were terrific as was the lamb risotto. The wines were well selected and the waiter was very knowledgeable about all. We will definitely return and recommend.

We had friend coming over from DC who like Italian food and Carpaccio was the perfect place to take them. The only issue we had was deciding between a wonderful selection of menu items and specials. Our waiter was superb - attentive without being intrusive. We never felt rushed and spent a good bit of time just talking and catching up with friends. We both commented on how it is getting harder to find a place where you can get great food and it quiet enough to talk. If not the best one of the best restaurants in Annapolis

Carpaccio's offered a nice atmosphere for treating Mom to a birthday dinner. The lighting was soft, adding to the overall ambiance of this Tuscan gem. Service was quite good, though my waitress seemed a little delayed in checking in on us. The food was above average, but no more impressive than that which I could have gotten at its one of its more casual -- and less pricey -- sister restaurant. The wine list was robust. That said, there was no urgent need to return for a meal. I've had my dinner experience at Carpaccios, and will likely return for one of their notable happy hours, but I will leave the dining to other area establishments.

We've been going to Carpaccio for two years and for most of that time we've loved it. In the last few months (been there probably a half dozen times over that time) a noticeable decline has occurred. The last 2 times have been awful. The service has really declined and its not the wait staff. It's management. Management has the wait staff stretched wait too thin. I noticed this two visits ago but chalked it up to just a bad night. This last time our waitress had to handle several other large tables in the main dining room, a table out in the bar area and yet another one outside. The response though was "the kitchen is backed up". Really? Isn't that management's job to calibrate the kitchen with the dining room (and I've seen it way more crowed)? Basic stuff. Something has also happened with the food. Paid $9 for a salad, which I gladly did the last time we went because it was really good. This time, the same salad was like half the size. The portion of fish i got was really really small. Don't know what's happening here but something's up. Like I said, any place can have a bad night, but for me a pattern is emerging. Not going back.

We had a mostly very good experience in our first visit to Carpaccio. There were minor glitches in service, and the combination of small, bistro-style tables and large serving plates made everything feel cramped. The food, for the most part, was excellent. The pesto sauce on the smoked mozz-filled red pepper ravioli was awesome. The calamari in the seafood risotto was perfectly cooked, more than making up for an average fried calamari appetizer. All in all, we were pleased. Not bad for a local place and we will definitely return.

The food was good. The bread is great. Our server was fine but since he was also waiting on a table of regulars he didn't spend enough time attending to our table and we felt like he was rushing us to leave once we finished eating ; telling us we can always take our bottle of wine with us. We'll go back, but it is not going to be more than an occasional visit.

When I wanted a place to meet with a dear friend to catch up, I thought of Carpaccio's - sitting outside near the fountain. The evening was beautiful, the food, wine and service more than met our expectation - even ran into friends who were going inside to dine. The best things about a "home town" gathering place - good food and friends.

Thanks to Open Table, we were pleasantly introduced to this restaurant within walking distance to our hotel, O'Callahan's. Although we arrived on a very busy football weekend night, very request, from an outside table near the lighted fountain, to splitting a salad that was presented on two plates for us, was accomodated. The authentic Tuscan food was delicious and abundant, served with hot, fresh bread even at 9:00 pm! In a city known for fresh seafood, don't overlook this excellent choice where you can also get traditional Italian AND seafood. Live music outside at a perfect volume made for a perfect evening under the stars. A plus is being located right on the city trolley line for those staying near the harbor.

This was our first time dining outside at Carpaccio. We had eaten outside at Fado, which shares this outdoor seating area with Carpaccio, but Carpaccio's food and service is better. It was a perfect night to eat outside. Comfortable temperature and humidity. I had the seafood risotto, my wife had the lamb risotto, and we had a nice chianti. Later as we were finishing our bottle of wine, the lights in the fountain came on, and we were sitting right next to it. It was a great dining experience, which is what we've come to expect from this restaurant.

We chose the place based on its proximity to our hotel. It met expectation on that. The drinks were a little pricey and not that good (Long Island iced tea). The food combinations were fantastic, and the entrees were good, but that was it. The eggplant appetizer was not well executed. The eggplant was bland and mushy. I would order an entrée and dine in the room next time, but when traveling it is probably better to find a good restaurant to visit.

I've written several reviews about Carpaccio's, and this one is no different. Outstanding food and top-notch waitstaff who *know* how to serve wine. The waitress brought a decanter over with the wine and asked if I wanted it decanted when its opened (so the bottle never left my sight). Seriously top-notch place. I go out of my way to stop there whenever I'm around.

The carpaccio was fabulous. As was the tomato and mozzarella appetizer and ravioli special. And a rather descent selection of wines by the glass. But what happened to our server? She was non-existent. We would have ordered more wine but she didn't come around again until we were finished with our entrees...asking if we wanted dessert. Service needs to improve.

Carpaccio's is a great spot, a bit off the beaten path on West Street right by the Westin Hotel. We dined there two years ago while staying at the Westin, and enjoyed the outdoor seating by the fountain and a top notch meal. We returned this year and found it equally satisfying. On nice evenings it is great to sit outside by the fountain. The food is terrific, and the service has been excellent both times we were there. They have great cocktails, and a very extensive wine list. You can't go wrong here for a wonderful evening at reasonable prices.

Seize the opportunity to eat at Carpaccio's. In a delightful departure from the usual rolls with frozen butter, Carpaccio's provides complimentary marinara-topped garlic bread slices and herb rolls that were outstanding! For my entree, I ordered the POLLO SCARPARIELLO - supposedly a single chicken breast (must have been butterflied), providing two generous portions of chicken, with wild mushrooms in a rich marsala sauce over butter-soft chunked potatoes. My wife ordered the organic spinach salad, with a refreshing combination of fruits, cheese and macadamia nuts, moistened with a raspberry vinaigrette. I was very tempted by the specials, but the $30+ price tag for an entree made it a no-go ... as was the case with quite a few entrees.

The server didn't have much of a personality and wasn't all that friendly. When ordering, she failed to provide options as far as the type of sauce we wanted. However, I was displeased that an option was not given considering there are different types of sauces. I would only hope that servers are consistent with how they treat their guests, especially by providing them with options.
