Diner Reviews
  • "We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary at the Carousel. It was our first time there and we will definitely go back, the food was beyond delicious and the owner and his employees were extremely nice! Next time we will go later to enjoy the entertainment as well!"

  • "Food and service was outstanding. I drive all the way from Newport Beach to glandale just to dine at Carousel. Highly recommend."

  • "Carousel is one of those unique places where not only the food is fantastic, but where they make you feel welcome and at home right away. We loved it so much we returned the next day for dinner and stayed until 1:30 am dancing the night away and enjoying the beautiful belly dancers. What a wonderful experience!!"

  • "I go to this restaurant quite often. The food is excellent. I've been to many of the middle eastern restaurants in Glendale, Hollywood and all over LA and this is one of my favorites. Great service, the waiters are friendly. Last time, I took a few friends who were from out of town and they loved the food. It's a little hole in the wall, but that is what makes this place great."

  • "The food is horrible. The filet meat was very rubbery and dry."

  • "Saw on TV a very nice and friendly interview and decide to try this place out. Upon arrive, the host ws at lost about our reservation, but did offered us a choice of two very comfortable tables. The waitress was nice, but the owner seems very arrogance and very cold. The food very dry and average tasting for a middle eastern restaurant. The worst part come at the end when they try to slip onto the check without saying anything about 18% tips added to the total for just three of us. So for a place that does not shown any appreciation of my business with a unfriendly owner, this place is a total disappointment."

  • "Romantic anniversary dinner. First time at Carousel but definitely not the last. The food and service were stunning. Couldn't have enjoyed it more."

  • "I've heard about and read about the Carousel for years but this is my first time here. Service was quick & polite and the food was really good. We took my kids her for something ne and they were both very happy with the food service and ambience"

  • "What a wonderful restaurant! Excellent excellent food and so much of it! Wide menu selection and music as an added bonus. Great for folks on a diet as well!"

  • "This place is outdated and a far cry from a restaurant. It transported me to the slums. The food was okay, but the service was precocious. Look out, they have no problem adding an eighteen percent tip because according to him "they deserve it". Who decides? The person being served or the server? We weren't even finished dining!??!!! anyway, they presented and entertainer that started the night by yoddling in languages he clearly didn't know. The belly dance show was decent. The last entertainer Fidel Fayad had skills but showed up close to midnight. In any case, I'm sure the gist of the experience is apparent."

  • "We went to celebrate Father's Day. Great experience overall. The food was tasty and the server was great"
    Dined on 6/26/2014
  • "Very disappointment with the service and the entertainment. We thought there would be only belly dancing, but that was only a few dances the remaining was all 70s 80s music."
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "Great selection of Near Eastern cuisine, mostly Lebanese and Armenian, a la carte and in good, zfforbably priced feast combinations. Many vegeterian dishes, delicious kebabs etc. Live entertainment and dancing Friday nights. Nice quiet patio alternatives, a great spot for special occasions and friends and family"

  • "A few friends threw a party for me and it was perfect in every way. The food superb. Notable wait service. And I will return for one of my biggest birthdays. Just not saying which one!!"

  • "Some of the best Lebanese/Armenian food I've ever had and there's a lot of competition in Glendale. Very friendly staff. "

  • "Last year I had my birthday celebration at the Carousel Restaurant in Hollywood. It was great. This year we went to the Carousel in Glendale. It had the same great food but the ambiance was 100% better. Spectacular place to go with a crowd. The family style dinners are fantastic and abundant. Can't' speak highly enough about what a great place this is. "

  • "The menu includes a lot of options and is easy to read and figure out what to have if you have never had lebanese food. Flavors were good and a lot of choices, small plates and mix and match options. Soup and salads were good. Service seemed to be a lot of waitstaff standing around with nothing to do, but they could have been giving better service to all tables. Good for large groups and a friendly place. "

  • "Thought the food was excellent and the entertainment was worth the price once. I wouldn't come back soon for the full experience, but the dinner was good enough for a revisit itself. I'd recommend it as a unique LA experience."
    Dined on 3/14/2014
  • "The food is amazing. There are some very unique and delicious items that you won't be able to find in most other restaurants. My primary complaint is that the manager/owner seemed very anxious about making sure that we vacate the table no later than 9pm. He asked us a few times and made it clear to us that we must vacate by 9pm. We felt like we were asked to eat fast and get out."

  • "I was hoping for the music, dancers and entertainers on Thrusday evening. However they only entertain on Friday and Saturday. :-("

  • "Our food and service was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant! The food was delicious and well priced. We had the beef shawarma, shrimp skewer and an appetizer of liitle meat pies with a yogurt and tomato sauce, soooo good. Order whatever sounds good, you can't go wrong. We had our rehearsal dinner at Carousel 6 months ago and it was crowd pleaser."

  • "Had a good experience several years ago, we had a medium size group and ordered one of the family meals which was perfect. We recently headed there for a girls night out and we had a great time. Food was great, good ambiance and attentive service."

  • "I had a Swedish guest with me and I wanted him to see a belly dancing performance. They were suppose to start at 11:30 which by then half of their guests had already left, however, they were later than 11:30 by another 15 minutes."
    Dined on 1/11/2014
  • "Aside from the food being good and the service being good, this quite possibly was the worst dining experience I ever had. It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant neglected to tell me that there was a huge party happening right in the middle of the restaurant. We were seated right next to the band stand and could not hear each other for the entire time of our meal. I felt like we were in the middle of a Wedding reception that was in full swing."

  • "My 3 friends and I had a fun time having lunch at Carousel last week. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced & there was a wide range of choices. All of us liked the entrees we chose & thought the dessert recommended by the. waiter was excellent. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The restaurant looked especially festive as it was decorated for the holidays."

  • "Our go to spot for Arabic food (lots of overlap with Persian food) in Glendale. They are always hospitable and kind. The food is delicious and abundant. It's great for lunch or for a fun night of bellydancing."

  • "If you have not been to this place you are missing out on the best cuisine in LA. Do the family style menu where they bring you several of their amazing dishes. This takes the guess work out of it and allows you to try things you would never know tasted so good. Ask for the garlic sauce as no meal is complete without it. This is my favorite place to eat and I drive from Santa Monica just for it! My friends and family could never understand why I drive so far until they ate there."

  • "We came here for my sisters bday. Food was delicious! I woukd definitely come back."

  • "The Lebanese-Armenian cuisine is good. It's not great, but some of the dishes are executed well, while others (shish kebab) were overdone, dry and small pieces. It's got to be hard catering to Armenian families who have mom's and grandmothers that can out-cook any restaurant in town, but some dishes, the kuftah yogurt is excellent. The kebneh nayyah (raw steak, like tartare) is good, albeit a little oily. Came on a Saturday night at 7pm just to eat, not to stay for the show, and the host looked at us like we were aliens. I tried to explain we had other plans after dinner; after 6 min of banter, we were seated and told not to stay past 9pm, which we weren't anyhow, but being told that is a bit off-putting. Wait staff barely helped us."
