Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were delighted to find an excellent pinot on the menu that we had only had once before. The standout was the "pick 3 cheeses" appetizer which had some excellent fresh honey accompanying it. It was plenty for 2 people. The entreés were all very good except my daughter's salmon which had a little "fishy" taste. The creme brulée was a little over the top.

We had a party of 6 we it a nice round table in a private room. Good service and nice food selection. Most everything was above average and the the truffle fries were great along with the unique cheese plate. Only disappointment was the salmon which was tasteless & the sturgeon was undercooked. I will return for another try.

Four of us had dinner - two had the lamb and they said it was outstanding. I had the salmon and it was tasteless and the quinoa not cooked well. One other had the chicken and risotto and said it was rich and wonderful. The soup was cauliflower and very nice.

They even seated us in a nearly private corner room, given 6 adults + a baby in high chair! We were started off with little shots of smoothies on the house...all of us were delighted with our meals (the guys concluded the Carneros eggs benedict were possibly the best EVER!)...service was so friendly and accommodating. We give it a 10 all around! (they even called to let me know I left my scarf behind! But I don't recommend that!!)

We chose Carneros Bistro to celebrate my wife's birthday with her three adult children. We were offered a semi-private room in the back which was ideal. Service was professional and friendly, and the food was expertly prepared and presented. Our entrees including the half-chicken, swordfish, and shrimp risotto. All were excellent! As locals, we don't usually consider this restaurant, because it's part of the Carneros Inn and we figured it was geared towards tourists. Inaccurately, we assumed the level of quality might be less. We were wrong! We'll return to this place for fine dining again.

The food here was good. However, most of the guest were at the bar drinking or ordering off the bar menu. The main dining area was completely vacant and felt like we were the only ones in Sonoma that chose to dine there.

We booked a room at the hotel for the final day of our honeymoon week of travels. Reservation was at 7p and we were seated promptly. Our waiter brought us 2 glasses of their wedding cuvee as a welcome. Very Nice. Our meals were very good but the Heirloom tomato salad was exceptional. Service was top notch and not bothersome. Yes it was pricey, but it was well worth it. Somewhere I would definitely go to again in the future for a special occasion. I had preselected a wine from the wine menu and included that on my reservation. Our waiter looked up the open table reservation, and found the wine before I could look it up online as I had forgotten the name. Memorable

We arrived into the valley late and wanted to stay close to the property. The food was waaaayyyy better than most of the Marriott brands restaurants and was a pleasant surprise, but with the number of great restaurants within a few miles, would not have been our first choice. Still, a very enjoyable meal!

Prices were akin to a high class restaurant in San Francisco, but service and food were more Olive Garden on a so so day. The nice restaurant options in Sonoma are somewhat slim, so when we found this "bistro" on OpenTable, we were expecting something quaint, local, with reasonable prices. Unfortunately the menu left us wanting more for the price, and the service was spotty at best. (the gal pouring our water was much more attentive then anyone else). The four of us ended up going with the salad and wood-fired pizzas, and walked out with almost a $200 tab! Safe to say we can't recommend it to others, other then a fair warning about what to expect.

Our family of four, including two teens, had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Three of us had fish, prepared exactly as described with a few changes we requested. The fourth had a deliciously filling vegetarian quinoa. Everything was fresh and flavorful, without bring heavy. We drank only a champagne split (after a day of wine-tasting that was all we wanted!), but they have an extensive wine list.

We had a wonderful dinner and my daughter enjoyed her evening as well. Perfect.

writer's selection was a delight to eat. Friendly hostess arranged to get me veggies and mushrooms instead of potatoes - which made the big difference for me. The lightly smoked chicken breast was the best I have ever had. Lunch companions were also quite satisfied with their entrees. - Music, not pleasant at all primarily for the more mature ears, was too loud and disturbing. Why not keep it low and just as a fine musical background?

After enjoying a great lunch with friends, booked dinner for special night. Started with Sommelier's suggested wine, pinot grigio blend arrived room temperature ?? improved with ice bucket. Mrs ordered wedge salad and it was teriffic! Featured an Oregon blue cheese dressing, bacon done correctly. My corn chowder wasn't chowder, but a pureed soup, much too salty, had to fish for the tiny piece of the advertised dungeness crab, had hint of white corn flavor. Waiter warned us off the $4 grilled oysters which were "very small" and opted for mussels. No one should serve dead (closed) shell fish... dish had 4, broth average. Advised to order lamb medium? Arrived chewy with tasty sauce. Don't understand picking that cut for a high priced entree.

Are dinner and it was excellent. Mussle, wedge salad, and crab pizza were excellent! Usually pizza is just at the bar, but they allowed us to order because that what we were in the mood for. Excellent service from our waiter, Danny. Very professional and personable. We had breakfast the next day, and it was delicious also! Mushroom omelet was amazing! Our waitress was excellent and made sure our food came promptly as we were waiting on a trolley tour. Beautiful restraurant. Some of the best meals we had in Sonoma!

We were greeted in a friendly manner. Our waiter was engaging, knowledgable and personable. Support staff made sure we had to wait for nothing. At our table, we had both seafood dishes being served that evening. The King Salmon was cooked to perfection on served on a bed of red quinoa. The other couple had the halibut and really enjoyed it. We finished with a sorbet and it was divine.

Started with a shaky experience at the bar but the bartender was very nice, corrected the problem and we moved on. Also it took too long to receive our drinks as we were 2 of 5 people at the bar and the other 3 had already been served. Anyway, the food was delicious, the wait staff very good and not intrusive. Everyone polite and attentive. The steak was done to perfection. A very nice experience.

Our entrees of Petaluma Chicken and Nightly Special of Shrimp in brodo over papperdelle were disappointing. The chicken was overcooked so dry, it was unedible. The only flavor was of wood. Moisten and season the Chicken skin and under the skin with olive oil and herbs before cooking to give it more moisture. The shrimp special had virtually no taste. The shrimp was not properly seasoned or cooked. rubbery. The broth tasted of mushrooms and the papperdelle cooked perfectly but the broth did not pair with this pasta. Advice is to add Japanese flavors to enhance this dish.
