A word from Carmine's NYC- Las Vegas Forum Shops
Carmine's, NYC's Legendary Family Style Restaurant, is to serve every meal in the style of an Italian American wedding feast - which means large portions of home-style antipasti, pastas, seafood and meat entrees served on large platters designed for sharing. And when we say large, we mean large. An entree here could easily feed four to six average eaters. If you are in the market for better than average family style Italian food that is served in huge portions at reasonable prices, this is the place for you.Continued

  • "Had a great meal for lunch.....wonderful service....a must for everyone"

  • "We love the food, the taste of it is unique. The portions are huge and you are able to share a single portion with 2 or 3 persons."

  • "Portions were too large for a couple, with no options...meatballs and spaghetti (sauce was too salty). Veal saltibocca was fine. Waiters were very nice and helpful."

  • "This was just an outstanding experience. The food, service and atmosphere was just perfect. Our server, Jeff, was exceptional. We had a large party of 10 and everything was served without a hitch. Food was hot and delicious. Would reccomment Carmie's to anyone with a small or large part. Just a FUN evening!"

  • "Had lunch here and the junior portions fed two people easily. Quality food just like Grandma used to make. You can go wrong if you love Italian food."

  • "I've been to the original Carmine's in New York, so was excited to support the Vegas location. The food did not disappoint and was exactly as I remembered it. Must get the fried calamari. Loud and fun atmosphere. The portions are HUGE and feed 4-6 easily. There were only 2 of us and we barely put a dent in our one appetizer and entree. In Vegas leftovers are often impractical, so I would question returning only because my husband and I know we cannot even come close to finishing our meal, even though the waiter did recommend ordering an appetizer and entree to share..."

  • "Just like dining in New York's original ! Huge portions, but so great for leftovers. Meatballs are to die for !"

  • "The BEST Italian food in Vegas...large portions so be ready to share!"

  • "Wife and I ate at the original location in NYC years ago and loved it. This location serves up the same delicious food and experience. Its good to have Carmines in our town, and we plan another group get together again here this year."

  • "The food here was delicious -- we split a Caesar salad, a side of meatballs, and a full order of chicken parmagiana. All of them were delightful. However, within the first two minutes of arriving we were being pushed along by the waiter who was asking us to place our order. We told him we'd need a few minutes and he proceeded to come back three times in the next minute or two. It seemed like he was just trying to push us along because he was getting off a 6:00 and wanted us to be in-and-out before he left. It was very obnoxious. Strangely enough, once our food arrived we hardly saw him again. Also, For a better experience, I'd recommend asking for a table towards the back so you can't hear all of the Forum Shop noise."

  • "Our family was celebrating a special birthday away from home. Carmine's met our needs to a tee. The staff was friendly and helpful with ordering. The family style restaurant was just what we were looking for and the food was great. The served a special birthday tiramisu for dessert which was wonderful. Will definitely go back again with a group."

  • "Incredible wastefulness with food. Portion sizes are ridiculous and almost every customer in the restaurant was sending massive amounts of unconsumed food back to the kitchen. Prices are high and we only ordered one salad plate and 2 entrées for 4 people. We could not eat more than half the food. We saw the same issue with every single table in the packed restaurant. The quality of the food is fair to good. We are regular patrons of Caesars Palace and we will never recommend or return to this restaurant (and 2 of our 4 are native born Italians, used to large Italian family dinners). Incredidble waste of food when so many people go without."

  • "Carmine's was a great experience and good quality food but the sizes are too big. If you go as a couple you will waste a lot of food"

  • "A few years ago, I was awed by Carmines in the theater district in NYC. The portions are great for a group, served expertly with the style and grace rarely seen in the west. The Carmines salad is absolutely fantastic, and the entrees were expertly prepared and served. All that ambiance and great food can be had in Las Vegas now! Highly recommended for anyone wanting a great dining experience with class and panache."

  • "My last meal in Vegas and the least impressive. Got a pasta special that had a kick but otherwise bland. Great service and salad. Probably missed out on other great menu items by ordering the special. Make sure you're in the mood for family style dining. Harder to make a group decision!!"

  • "My first visit to Carmine's....am Italian and love dining family style. Loved the ambiance....but thought the music was just a little too loud, we had to speak pretty loudly to hear each other. The waitress was nice, but I felt she was a bit impatient and short with my dining mates...who were first timers and had a few questions. They might not go back, but I will."

  • "Food was excellent and I would return. Wish they had smaller portion sizes for parties less than 4 people. We ordered a Caesar salad for the two of us and received the same size as the party of 8 next to us. This was a waste of food/money. Same thing with the entree. Would definitely recommend dining at this restaurant but be prepared for high cost/ridiculous portion size if you have only 2 people. Would recommend going with group where you can share."

  • "We had the most delightful server-and I cannot recall her name because I waited too long to write my review! She was a great help with the menu and the choices she helped us make were perfect for our group (which consisted of 5 adults and 6 kids). Carmines has to be the most perfect place for groups! The family style dinners are HUGE, and no one left hungry!"

  • "There was 2 of us dining. I read the reviews and they did say very big portions. But that is all the menu offered was group sizes. Great place for a big group of people to eat family style but they did not offer anything for 1 person to 2 people. All salads served at least 6 or more people. Starting at 19.00 and up. There pasta dishes must have been 3lbs of pasta. When we arrived for our reservation they tried to seat the 2 of us at a table for 6. We decided to eat in the bar at a high top table. We ordered a Italian salad to split 22.00 and pasta to split and we still left a ton of food uneated. It wasn't the prices that were unreasonable, it was the menu selections. We will not return unless I had a party of 6 or more."

  • "Even though we had a birthday and told Carmine's in advance, it was not made special by restaurant. I thought it chintzy they didn't provide a desert for birthday girl. Won't go back for more birthdays."

  • "Diana was our server. She was uneducated in the product. Lacked good customer service skills. She was inefficient. She lacked social grace and was overall- unpleasant."

  • "have previously been to the new york restaraunt,so knew exactly what was waiting for me at the las vegas branch, not disapointed one bit."

  • "The server was not knowledgeable in prices of the entrees. Put down the bread with no butter or oil When asked for butter his response was, this is a place you need to ask for what you want. After 15 minutes of still not getting butter we saw a busboy and he brought it right to us. Then there was the water situation. The glasses looked like double shot glasses. However after the people at my table are asking every 2 minutes for a refill how about leaving a pitcher or even getting a bigger glass for them. He says I will refill whenever you need it but he was never around to ask. There was 40 minutes between appetizer of raw clams and entrees. That is unacceptable, and he never came by to see if we wanted more bread, order more drinks etc."

  • "I have nothing bad to say everything was fabulous. We will definitely be back to this gem."

  • "We had water spilled on us, wine spilled and replaced with half a glass of the wrong wine in a dirty cup, and charged $7 for a salad plate of pasta because the food didn't come with pasta at an Italian restaurant! After all was done, we never even had so much as a consolation for sitting wet and cold through the meal. The manager should have at least given us a free appetizer after having the water glasses dumped on us. What food we did order was very good, with plenty to take home. However, this is the second time that some of us had been there, and both times the service was lackluster. Since we are from out of town, it won't be hard to avoid it. If you like good Italian food, maybe you could get it to go, and avoid the bad service."

  • "Food is too expensive for the quality. Waiter went to another table that came in after us that spoke his language and so he ignored us to where our dinner did not show up for an hour. Another server said she was taking over for him and was shocked that we had not been seved our meal after 50 minutes. If you like family style that is on the salty side, then this place is for you!"

  • "We had a party of 6 on a Saturday night. Had reservations and were seated about 20 minutes late, but we were able to quickly find a seat at the bar and had a drink which was nice. Our entire experience from when we were seated until we left was wonderful! Our server was outstanding! The entrees and desert we ordered were delicious! Would definately recommend to others looking for some great Italian food that is reasonably priced in Las Vegas. Am looking forward to dining at Carmine's in New York next time I am in NYC!"

  • "I have been to Carmine's in NYC several times and I was excited to try the Vegas location. I was not disappointed. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. Several members of my party had not been to Carmine's before and our waitress did a great job of explaining the family style and recommending dishes for us to try. The food itself was phenomenal and it came very quickly. Everyone in my party loved the entrees. The atmosphere was wonderful, not too formal, but not too casual. The mall it is located in is beautiful, a must-see in Vegas. This is one of the best meals we've had in Vegas. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant."

  • "Carmine's was recommended by a colleague who was at a trade show in Vegas and had to take a group to dinner within within a budget. It was perfect for my group of 12. All the choices were family style meaning one order feeds 3 - 4 people, so $40 pasta dish was not expensive. Food was very tasty, service was fast and friendly and our waiter warned us when we were about to over order."

  • "This was my first time using OpenTable, and it helped a ton. This location inside of Caesars is terribly busy. The wait was over 45 minutes. I got on my phone and while walking around, booked a time 10 minutes later. We walked right in, right past others who were there before me. Awesome. The food here is pricey, but it is family style, and portion sizes are huge. The vodka penne is worth it if you like a stronger garlic."

  • "Carmine's is a favorite of ours but we could only eat there when we traveled to the East Coast. So happy it has opened in Vegas. We love the food, ambience, and service. Not only is the quantity exceptional, the quality is equally exceptional!"

  • "After reading other online reviews, we figured this was a good place to eat. Our server informed us about the "familyl style" menu. Wow!!! We order calamari and had enough for several people. Unfortuantely, it was my wife an I, so we almost got full on the appetizer alone. Our main entre was the chef's special for the night. Not sure the name, but it was great! The food, atmosphere and service was absolutely great! Would definitely recommend to others!"

  • "The Vegas location ( this was my 2nd visit) is just as good as the NYC original. We went both times with 8 people. This enabled us to order a wide variety of food. Everything was very good. The chicken scaloppine in lemon was exceptionally tasty. We has 2 deserts; tiramisu & cheesecake. They both were worth the. Calories. I would go back again."

  • "I have dined at Carmine's in NY several times and love it! Their LV location is just as good and on highly recommend it to everyone ! You can't leave hungry! The portions are large and served family style. My favorite is the veal but the pasta dishes are also superb. A great place for large groups as well."

  • "I had read reviews saying Carmines was family style but nothing could prepare me for the portion sizes. My BF and I ate in the bar, as they had smaller portions, however the pasta fed us and we barely made a dent. It would have easily fed 6. That being said, it was delicious. We shared a Caesar salad and the penne with vodka sauce. The pasta was delicious!"

  • "Been to Carmine's in New York and Atlantic city and the Vegas version is exactly the same. Great food, even better service from our extremely friendly and attentive waitress and the signature huge portions. Bring a group or order lightly. We split a hot antipasto (5 of us), porterhouse, chicken alla Romano, and pasta ragu. We had enough food for a second meal plus. Can't wait to come back next year!"

  • "Enjoyed the food so much we came back for a second night and the food and servide was even better the second time. The waiter was friendly and great at his job. We asked fo change something on the menu, the chef was very accommodating and the meal was incredible. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "Have been to the Carmines in Atlantic City several times and wanted to try the one in Vegas and it was just as good. Service is always friendly and our server was great as well as all the other servers that helped with waters, clearing the table and bringing the food. We always have Calamari and Lasagna, this time we added Veal Parmagna and it was good. We went with 4 adults and 5 kids. The kids were given kids menus and crayons and were very happy with their meals. The kids loved the calamari and every bit was eaten by all. We did have Lasagna and Veal left over and were able to take it home. We saw several tables get Salad and they were huge."
