A word from Carmine's - Las Vegas
Carmine's, NYC's Legendary Family Style Restaurant, is to serve every meal in the style of an Italian American wedding feast - which means large portions of home-style antipasti, pastas, seafood and meat entrees served on large platters designed for sharing. And when we say large, we mean large. An entree here could easily feed four to six average eaters. If you are in the market for better than average family style Italian food that is served in huge portions at reasonable prices, this is the place for you.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Excellent food. Portions are suitable for four people or more. Service is attentive. Outdoor seating could be a bit noisy. Overall a wonderful dinning experience."

  • "A friend of mine recommended Carmine's and I am so glad we took his recommendation!! This is not the place to take one person, this is a place that specializes in big groups. The portions are HUGE and even though they are huge the food is OUTSTANDING!!! Our servers were fantastic and extremely accommodating, even bringing out samples of their sauces. This is one of the very best reasonable priced dinners I have had in Vegas ever!! I highly recommended Carmine's but you need to bring an army because the food will feed that army and then some!!"

  • "On our most recent trip we dined at Carmine's. The food was at best average. Yes the portions are big, but the flavor was so so. I wouldn't say I would never eat at Carmine's again, but it would never be by my choice. There are too many options in Las Vegas to settle for something that is just ok."

  • "The food was pretty mediocre for over $30 a dish. Caesar salad was wilted and the chicken parm had way too much cheese and salt on it."

  • "I have dined at Carmine"s in both New York and Washington, DC and suggested this outpost based on those dining experiences. The service and ambiance were great, however, we were a little disappointed in the food. We ordered the shrimp scampi and it was little dry and was void of the rich, buttery garlic flavor it normally has when ordered in other locations. We shared this feedback with the staff, but, did not have time to send it back because we were on our way to airport."

  • "Family-style, big portions. Portabello parmiagiana was surprisingly delicious. Lasagna was awesome, as always. Seating in the main dining area felt cramped with tables located side by side and back to back with other parties. More private upstairs dining area available but I guess you have to request it. Service was top-notch excellent."

  • "Fantastic sharing of large plates, entrees are fantastic, appetizers are plentiful, do not miss the crusty baked clams....out of this world!!! Service is outstanding, a must make dinner with all to share many plates.....really good restaurant running on all cylinders!!!! Zoooom to this place, you will not be disappointed!"

  • "Food was good and service was good. This was a business group and I wish we could have gotten a table in a quieter section of the restaurant. In all this was a decent location to take a group of 9 people for a reasonably priced meal in Las Vegas."

  • "Not really a good place to go unless you have a larger group. Food is served family style and portions are way too large for just 2 people. Our server also seemed to want to rush us to make a choice of food."

  • "Carmine's is the very best: food, service and atmosphere! The food is delicious, service is a perfect 10 and the atmosphere is festive. Very well suited for groups and celebrations. Don't leave Vegas with visiting Carmines!"

  • "The food at this place is legendary. HUGE portions and the highest quality. I'd highly recommend this pace to parties of 4 or more: any smaller would be too much food. Great service as well. Only minor complaint is that the water glasses are too small. Get the Titanic for dessert!!!"

  • "We went to carmines with my in-laws after being suduced by add from our hotel room in caesars palace. The food was standard as far as authentic Italian goes, did the job but nothing to write home about. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance is nice, what killed it for us was the service. we had never been before and asked waiter how much to order. He suggested an app and two to three dishes. We went on the smaller side of his rec and had enough food to feed us 3x over. Spent 2x more than necessary, and couldn't take leftovers to hotel room. Plus waiter was rude. Told us he would "be around" setting up, we should yell if we need something, not very friendly or concerned with us."

  • "We enjoy going to Carmines when we are in New York so when the Vegas one opened we were super excited. Our 4th trip here and we haven't had a bad meal. The food is phenomenal and the service is in point."

  • "I was not too impressed with the quality of the food. But to start, the size of the water glasses were no more than a double shot glasses very annoying especially when the food was too salty. I did enjoy the Caesar salad and the lasagna but I've had better. The chicken parmigiana was hammered flat only about a 1/4 of an inch thick and drowned in sauce. Our waitress was a bit snobbish especially when we compared the family style dish servings to Buca di Beppo. Overall not worth the price of the dishes."

  • "Great food. Huge servings as expected. Best to have 4 people that are good friends at a table. Will return in December with a few friends."

  • "Not as good as Carmines in NY. Food felt and tasted as if was cooked somewhere else and frozen. Wont be back"

  • "Dined here on 6/27 with a party of five. We ordered one salad and four main dishes and had far more food than we could eat. Even knowing that the dishes are served family style, the portions were still enormous. The evening's special, a pasta dish with a creamy pesto sauce, was a table favorite. We were surprised that there is no alfredo dish on the menu. Seemed odd for an Italian restaurant. The service was a bit spotty. One of the cocktail orders was incorrect, one of the dishes arrived substantially later than the others and an extra coffee was brought to the table, but the food definitely outweighed the service. If dining with a party of four or more, this is a great restaurant choice."

  • "Waitress is very knowledgeable about the menu and the dining experience at Carmine's Food is very good. Excellent for large groups."

  • "the food is very good, atmosphere and service wonderful. But very hard to choose one item for 4 people to share. Very large, family style, portions that simply must be shared. So go with a really big group and order several items. But when I'm on vacation and have no way ( or reason) to want to take home leftovers it is way to much food."

  • "Carmine's is a great place to dine if you like Italian. The atmosphere is lively and the service is attentive. The veal cutlets are to die for and the Carmine salad is delicious. The plates are large, good for 6 people to share."

  • "We tried to get into Carmine's in New York last summer but the restaurant was full the night we selected. We were delighted when we found there is a location in Las Vegas. The food and ambiance is great but the family style dishes are too much unless there are at least 4 people in your party. We had 3 people and only ordered one dish with a side of pasta and could not finish all the food."

  • "I recently dined at Carmine's with friends who were in town for a conference. They were on a tight food budget and since Carmine's serves family style portions, we all split 1 dish and still had enough left overs to take home for 2-3 dinners. :-)"

  • "We absolutely enjoyed all the food and there was a lot of it. The waiter was wonderful. Quick service and fun atmosphere. We will go back."

  • "The food was excellent. Would definitely come again next time I am in Vegas"

  • "This is not a place to dine for 2. The dishes are family style for sharing with 4, minimum! The food and service was excellent and on a per-person cost, it was $40pp including a bottle of wine! Great value for Vegas (especially in the Forum Shoppes)!!"

  • "The food was good, the Italian sausage was fabulous, the service was nothing special but the noise was outrageous!! Some fire alarm or something made a screeching, horrible noise 3 x's. Nobody apologizes or gave an explanation as to what was going on. A good server or manager would have explained & gave a discount for the inconvenience. I walked out with a headache. Won't be back. Too many other great choices."

  • "When we lived in New York, we frequented Carmine's in Time's Square. Being Italian and a foodie, I rarely eat Italian food out. I prefer to cook it myself. Carmine's was the one exception. When we moved out west, we missed Carmine's. We were excited when they opened in Vegas, but worried it wouldn't be the same. We were thrilled when we stopped by before a flight and found that it was as good as New York. A few days later, we went to Carmine's in New York and we think the food in Vegas was actually better. Now my husband is trying to find the Carmine's cookbook that we haven't unpacked since we moved. He wants me to make their Penne a la Vodka."

  • "Fun restaurant with neighborhood feel to it. Busy and noisy. The good is not exceptional, but good and because it's all served family style, you'll get a ton. No one should leave hungry. Some minor inconsistencies with service, but overall it was good."

  • "My mom wanted to try out this place knowing the restaurant is famous in NY. Unfortunately for us the dinner we had here was utterly disappointing. The service was AWFUL! the waiter seemed completely lackadaisical about doing his job properly. If he had been so inattentive when the restaurant was busy I would have understood but there were maybe 6 or 7 tables seated in the HUGE dining area and unfortunately could not have possibly been his excuse. The food is all family style and comes in HUGE portions, if you have a lot of people who like to eat the same things this place would be convenient. The QUALITY of the food however was again very disappointing flavorless and overcooked pasta. Overall a bad experience, definitely won't return."

  • "Our server ANGELO was amazing....very patient and helpful and helped us make wise choices on how much food to order. Four of us shared baked clams (to die for), seafood pasta and shrimp scampi. SO MUCH FOOD...and the quality was fantastic. Can't wait to come back with a larger group to be able to try more items. Even better food than Carmines in NYC."

  • "It was just like being back in New York. The place is not identical and it's not trying to be, but the style and feel of the place was perfect. It's good to remember that family style dining requires a family as the portions are meant to be shared across the table. Our party of 4 hardly made a dent on the salad which was fresh and extremely good value at just under $30. You could easily feed 8 with this appetiser. The meatballs are the best you will get anywhere we added them to a portion of Penne and our meal was done. We held back on ordering an entree as it was just as well as we were all fed by the end of the pasta course. Great night, great food. This is one spot that should not be missed."

  • "Our overall experience was excellent. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated with kindness. Our server steered us through the menu, since it was our first time. I highly recommend Carmine's, especially for large families or any large group. A lot of bang for your money. Defiantly a new stop for us in Vegas."

  • "Joey gave us great service. We have not had a bad dish yet."

  • "Our family of 7 had a great meal with reasonable prices (for Las Vegas), huge amounts of great tasting Italian fare, and a family style restaurant that is great for all. Service is usually great and as they set your food at the table, the server will indeed, serve everyone their food. However this time he was training someone, and we were left to fend for ourselves. Nevertheless, the food quality was excellent as usual."

  • "Really great food. Took my husband there for his birthday. They had our reservation and a table ready. Was seated close to a couple of loud groups which took away from the romance a little. But it was nice still. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice evening meal. "

  • "Been to Carmine's in Little Italy NYC. Las Vegas store does not compare. Calamari appetizer was too salty. Rest if entree was ok."
