"The menu wasn't quite what I was expecting, quite limited (whole menu is on one page) with no theme (options from many different cuisines), but both of us dining had the new york steak and it was prepared perfectly and I enjoyed it.

The prices seemed reasonable to me, but the restaurant is open to the hotel lobby and the sports bar across the corridor contributes to the noise in the restaurant."

"I was really surprised by the quality of food and the excellent service! The sandwiches were delicious and the butter chicken was awesome. Loved the mango chutney accompaniment... Prices are quite friendly as well."

"We were the only ones in the restaurant for a 6pm seating until a party of about 6 arrived around 7pm.

"what a surprise to find a great place to dine! I wasn't too sure about coming here at first so i took a risk that paid off on our last Dine out Vancouver "adventure". The crab cake appetizer was the size of a burger with an absolutely delicious spicy sauce to go with it.....wow!!. I was worried i wouldn't have enough room for the filet mignon that was still to come as that was what we came for....we WERE NOT disappointed!! Cooked to perfection with an incredible muschroom sauce over it, and perfect mashed potatoes and asparagus to go with it. Bread pudding with ice cream after sealed the evening. Couldn't have asked for a better dining experiece!! Will definitely be back!!"

"The food was outstanding and the Dine Out Vancouver experience is a great way to get out and enjoy some of our great restaurants and some outstanding food. The service at Carmichael's was very nice. Very courteous, pleasant, attentive staff without being obtrusive and each course was served promptly.An open concept layout creates a bit noisy atmosphere so I wouldn't recommend this for a romantic evening per se but none the less it was comfortable. A typical hotel restaurant but with exquisite food and very good service."

Service was okay.

All the entrees are overcooked.

"Service could have been better. Took too long for server to re-appear to clean table off and deliver entrees/ desert/ etc. Food was ok -- but nothing I would go back for. When it was time to pay the bill we had to wait about 10 minutes for one server to get our server so we wasted a lot of time "waiting". Left a $10.00 tip but the service didn't warrant that."
