Why this restaurant fails to "staff up" for Parents Weekend is beyond me. They have a wonderful brunch buffet. But we will not be going back -- service was stretched so thin to be almost non-existent. After pouring our water, and getting coffee/tea, the server disappeared. We were never offered OJ. We tried to flag the server down -- would not make eye contact with us at all. Had to ask the hostess to find him; even that didn't get his attention. Finally we asked the hostess to find us the manager -- even that took 15+ minutes. The server finally showed up and told us we should just walk out without paying (we declined and insisted on paying). Finally the manager showed up -- and was absolutely clueless that we might not be happy

Inside had the imbedded odor of cigarettes. Hostess set up a table of 10 when the reservation stated 4 people at 10. We sat for about 20 minutes before I had to ask for water. Waitress Amy what a doll was so overwhelmed with a smile did the very best she could since someone called out. They had an overpriced brunch for 27 bucks but regular breakfast was reasonable and decent. Hostesses tried helping bus table since there was no one to do that either especially being family weekend at Scranton. Wouldn't go back during brunch too much chaos.

The waiter was minimally attentive. Had to even ask for more water and took too long to bring the change with the check. The food variety was good, quality of food good, and lovely atmosphere. The piano player definitely helped made the day.

I've been going to brunch here once a year for 10 years and this time was disappointed. The food options were scaled down and the quality not as good. The cheesecake tasted like jello cheesecake mix and oreo cookies as an option didn't seem worthy of $26. Our waitress ignored us repeatedly even though she made the rounds to all the tables around us who weren't doing brunch. The price of brunch used to include a mimosa, now they are $6 extra. I brought a group here from out of town because it's such a beautiful setting and thought we'd get a brunch worthy of the price. We were all disappointed–not worth it and we won't go back.

Great dinner with husband and son the other evening in the historic Lackawanna Station. Our service was attentive and the food was wonderful. Our 14 year old son said it was even better than the food he had for the past 10 days on vacation in Hawaii.

A good friend recommended Carmen's for Sunday brunch. I didn't know what to expect but there was the right amount of options: breakfast items, lunch items, seafood, olive and cheese platter items, and of course, desserts. For $27, this is more than your money's worth. Watch out for those drinks though, too tasty and they can add up! No gripes though. Top notch experience.

The staff was impeccable; professional and friendly. The setting and atmosphere were absolutely stunning. He was engaging but not overbearing.

I absolutely love the brunch at the Radison and my family goes there frequently. Great food and a beautiful atmosphere. Fathers Day brunch wasa little unruly. It was very crowded and disorganized - very unlike them. Lots of new ppl and they seemed confused. The host was so kind though and was clearly doing his best to seat everyone. Their brunch was excellent and they offer something for everyone. I'd still go back - maybe just not on a holiday. But never say never!

I took my family to Father's Day brunch as I have done for the past 18 years. Usually we have excellent service with excellent food. Not this year. It was a nightmare. Our waitress came to our table and it took 20 minutes for her to bring our coffee. Two of the staff were complaining about customers and were rude to us as we were walking out. There was so much more that was horrible about this place this year. It's one day that my family looks forward to and now we won't be going back

Would've had a better experience at Dennys. Last time we were here was 4 yrs ago.Wow have things gone down hill! Cold Belgium waffles, extremely under cooked prime rib at the carving station, sliced so thin it was almost transparent.Very limited food selection.Poor quality/preparation.My 18 year old son,who will eat just about anything & normally have 2-3 refills had 4 items on his plate & didn't finish what he had! I felt terrible. We had 3:30 reservations so we saved ourselves all day & we left hungry.Chocolate fountain area, choc splashed all over plates, skewers, tablecloth, waterlogged strawberries. Our waiter had a fresh, open cut on his hand. The staff sat at a table next to us & ate. When I'm paying 200$ I don't expect to eat with the staff!

It is nice to go to a place that doesn't give you huge portions. Instead they give the right amount of high quality food. We have been going there for over 20 years. It has always been a favorite special occasion spot for us. I was a bit sad though to see the partitions gone. It gave privacy to the diners. I was distracted by the hotel business going on in the background. Over all, we did enjoy our meal and will be back again.

We hadn't been to brunch in a few years due to family commitments so we were happy to be able to go this year and we were not disappointed with the food. We did notice the pasta station was gone, but was replaced by a pierogi station so we didn't miss the pasta. The pierogies were excellent! All the food was very good. The desserts were a little lacking. I think they count on you using the chocolate fountain as they had lots of treats to dip in the fountain. We would have liked more cake choices and not so much mousse. We will be back next Easter for sure.

Special Valentines menu was really good. Appitizer bar was outstanding. Service was very good and Piano music made things just that much better. Disappointed in resaurant's selection of wine glasses. When you pay $60+ for a bottle of wine you expect to get a wine glass fitting to the wine. They only have one glass type and that is fit for a sweet white or red. It is not correct for a dry red or even a dry white. Their wine glasses do not measure up to their wine list which is very good. Next time I'll just order a glass instead of a bottle or maybe no wine at all.

The 1908 Train Station has survived in tact. The original marble walls with large inset tile scenes are still there and in excellent shape. The food is as grand as the setting. An Italian seafood stew was filled with Jumbo shrimp, large sea scallops, Clams and Brasiiian Sea Bass. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The setting is really lovely in the former Scranton train station. Tables are not too close and you can dine at a relaxed pace. The service was attentive and friendly, and we could get coffee while we waited for our brunch reservation. The food offered was good and the omelets were well prepared. The selection was nice, heavier on lunch fare, but somewhat limited. All the fixings for bagels were beautiful, but we had to request a bagel. We'll surely return for brunch here.

We arrived for dinner and were assaulted by an overwhelmingly noisy cocktail hour for a wedding. While we were seated quickly it took over 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. We waited even longer for bread and drinks. Our appetizers arrived a half hour after ordering them and we were not given plates to use for our shared dishes. Dinner took another half hour to receive. While dinner was ok, no one ever asked how it was or if we needed anything else. We had to flag down a waiter for the bill and no one ever apologized for the poor attention we received. A word of warning for other diners, this restaurant cannot accommodate a wedding and restaurant diners. This was my family's worst ever dining experience.

What a disaster! There was a wedding in the banquet hall (hence -- do not go on a Friday or Saturday night). There was only one server (plus assistants) for the entire dining room -- and he would vanish for 15 or 20 minutes at a time. Drink orders were slow. Took a half hour just to place our order. Entrees came out 45 minutes after appetizers were cleared. Everyone in the dining room was tapping feet and looking for the server. Some got up and left. Others stuck it out. The food -- when it came -- was good (although my steak was slightly past medium, too long under a heat lamp, I suspect). Others in the dining room complained about the quality of their meals. In fairness, the server did comp us a round of drinks. Never again.

I took my husband to Sunday Brunch @Carmens for his birthday. Overall, it was a good experience. They presented a nice variety of different breakfast/lunch options and the quality was good. The omelet station was great and the chocolate fountain was nice ending to our meal. He enjoyed the pork loin and french toast was good. One disappointment was the service. We arrived at 10:00am when the brunch opened, before the crowds arrived, and we had to wait for ten minutes and finally had to flag down someone to get our coffee/tea/juice order. For the price we paid, it would have been nice to have received more attentive and friendly service. But, like I said, overall it was worth the price for a special occasion..$27 per person + tax!.
