The staff was a pleasure and made our wonderful night so enjoyable. We only get to come down to the resturant once a year but it is always worth every minute of it. The waiter that we had was upset with us that we didn't tell him at the beginning that we were celebrating our anniversary. He informed us that they like to show their congrautlations and we didn't inform him until we were getting ready to walk out of the resturant. I had the "Anthony Munoz" served with rock shrimp, mushrooms and a Bearnaise sauce and it was amazing. My wife had the Queens filet and it was excellent as well, but looked rather lonely on the plate. We had two sides to share, mushrooms and asparagus. The mushrooms were very good, but the asparagus was rather mundane.
Our server Lindsey Watzek was perfect, she was there when we needed her but not smothering or constantly hovering like some people do. My customer agreed that Carlo & Johnny had a great reputation in the area. She booked on-line as we drove to our off-site meeting. We have been to Jags, Embers, Eddie Merlot's and St. Elmo's in Indy in the last year and while they were all good, Carlo & Johnny was definitely the best. The ambiance is very comfortable. The service was attentive and competent, never overbearing. The wine list is extensive and if money is no object, you can enjoy some rare bottles of wine. The steak was cooked PERFECTLY and the creamed spinach was a actually creamed spinach, not spinach-infused butter and cream. The flavor of everything was outstanding. Wait staff was excellent & very attentive. Ordered the bone-in Filet for the first time and was blown away by the taste! It was by far the best tasting steak i have ever eaten! I was staying in the city, and had my staff meet there for dinner as it was highly rated. I have tired "the companies" other stores, and they were good as well. Hence, it was not a huge gamble. Food, service, and wine were excellent! Decor, very well done. Onnly complaint, but nothing major...charging $3 to park my car? I am spendning hundreds in your restaurant...do you need to hit me for $3?
