Although it is characterized as a steak house (a lable off-putting to many) you can sample some of the best sea food in the midwest here. There is also a wide offering of beef alternatives. Sides and salads are fresh and bright and get as much attention form the cook staff as their finest entres. The wine list is extensive and ranges from moderate to very high end. I was staying in the city, and had my staff meet there for dinner as it was highly rated. I have tired "the companies" other stores, and they were good as well. Hence, it was not a huge gamble. Food, service, and wine were excellent! Decor, very well done. Onnly complaint, but nothing major...charging $3 to park my car? I am spendning hundreds in your restaurant...do you need to hit me for $3?

The breads for toast could have been better. We love a selection of thick crusty breads for toasting. The breads offered were similar to sandwich loaf slices.

We had a great table, the service was excellent, and the General Manager (Josh) was attentive and accommodating. The food was also terrific - two perfectly prepared Filet's - and great sides and dessert. Overall, we have always enjoyed Carlo & Johnny's, but this most recent visit was excellent.
