We have been dining at Cariera's for almost 30 years during our frequent visits to Orlando. It is great that it serves real Italian food and not the fake fast food kind. Also love that it is not pretending to be a steak house. For great Italian food in the Orlando area, Cariera's is the spot.

The service we received was very personable and attentive. My server was great and we didn't have any problems but I noticed they did not work sections and it seemed as if they were running all over the restaurant. My partner had the chicken parm and said it was good. I had the Bucatinii Bianco. it was ok. The flavors were good but there was about a pound of bacon on top when I expected ribbons of prosciutto. There was also no sauce so it was a little dry. With a little tweaking this could have been an excellent dish because the flavors were good. The restaurant was clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Due to the casual nature I think this restaurant could be very family friendly.

If your in the mood for Italian and don't have all day, try Cariera's. We had a reservation, got seated immediately, and were served without delay. The chicken was thinly sliced, breaded lightly, and fried to perfection. I look forward to returning to Orlando to try other dishes.

Our server greated us with a smile and good attitude that both faded when he realized we weren't ordering drinks and didn't return until we ordered $23.00 worth of dessert. That was 2 cappuccinos and 2 desserts. When we return he will not be waiting on us. The soups, Eggplant Parmesan, and Chicken Picatta were delicious. The bread was only fair and had a butter- flavored herb spread slathered on the crust. Next time we'll ask for it to be toasted in the oven and served with a plate of olive oil. The cannoli was good but the cheese mixture had sambucca in it along with cinnamon. They are filled to order so the shell wasn't soggy. The wainscoting near our table could have used some cleaning as it had been splattered with tomato sauce.

A local establishment that has good food and good ambiance although the service was a bit off on my recent visit. An excellent and traditional Italian menu makes this establishment a solid choice in this very busy neighborhood. I recommend that you not miss it.

This is a very friendly restaurant located in a large mall. My issue is with the entree's. Choose your cooking style and select a meat, fish or chicken. served with a soup or salad as starter and a side of penne with a thick, rich tomato sauce. Starters were fine, the fish we had was drowned by the sauce and the pasta was cool. Too many different flavours with the pasta sauce being far too rich and heavy to go with a fish in a lemon sauce.

The service was good but the food was forgettable. We started out our meal with Caprese and it was terribly salty. Not sure how they accomplished this considering it's just tomato and mozzarella but I digress. The house salad was limp and drowned in balsamic dressing. The Chicken Parm was overdone, salty, and drowned in Marinara sauce. The Black and Blue Chicken was by far the worst dish; it consisted of three 1/4 inch thick very burnt (they call blackend) boneless skinless chicken breasts that were so overdone my knife had a hard time cutting through them. If you are in the Dr. Phillips area and looking for a good Italian restaurant, don't go here!

My family traveled from all over the US to Orlando and we met for dinner at Careiras. It was the PERFECT venue for our evening. It offered something for everyone. It was not too loud which allowed for us to enjoy conversation. The service was alert and yet not overly attentive. The dinners were all made from scratch and yet came out at the same time and everyones meal was wonderful. We shared with each other and all agree we would go back and highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

We both agreed that the Fried Ravioli was surprisingly good and the marinara sauce was perfect for that dish. My boyfriend raves about their Caesar Salad because the dressing is made in house and I think that the alfredo sauce is one of the best sauces in town. I ended up taking some of my meal home with me and it was just as delicious the next day. To finish the night, I ordered the Tiramisu; which blew me away. It was light, fluffy, and had the coffee liquor on the bottom. You could tell that it was made to order, which is very rare. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly timed.

Careira's was very good as usual, we've been there many times since new ownership, but they need to clarify their wine list. Its great to hear that they are renovating their wine list, but in the mean time, they should create a list of what they do have so customers don't have to be told no 3 times. It would be pretty easy to create a list of what they have and reprint it every day or so as inventory changes. I'll go back again, but it may be a while.

Unknowingly we attended Carierra's grand re-opening under new management. We are glad to say the food is still the same-- well prepared and delicious. Due to the large crowd and live band, it was extremely noisy and it took a long time to be served, however, this is not the norm. In addition, our waitress was very polite and considerate.

We ate dinner here on Father's Day. We met our two nieces who were visiting from out of town. Our server was new to the Orlando area and was understandably unfamiliar with the menu. Our appetizers were good. Most entrees were okay, but mine was awful. I ordered the Bucatini Bianco. It was a pasta dish with veges and meats, but was so dry as to be practically inedible. We will not be back.

It had been a long time since I had been to Cariera's. A friend recommended checking out the live jazz group on a Friday night. It looked like the restaurant had been given many nice coats of paint since my last visit - definitely fancier than I remember. Though still very comfortable. Service was excellent. Pizza was fantastic. And the added touch of a live jazz trio made it that much more enjoyable. It was a very rainy night, so it wasn't very busy for a Friday night. I can only imagine with a full restaurant, the buzz is even bigger over the music. Even still, after every number the band got a rousing round of applause. Nothing beats live music and I hope Cariera's keeps offering its patrons the chance to hear it!

Since the ownership changed, each time we go to Cariera's it looses more of its charm. There are many choices for Italian restaurants in town. I will not go out of my way to go to this one, as it has become fair to average. The dessert item that draws my husband to this restaurant was unavailable for the second time. The salad, iceberg lettuce, was tasteless. The pasta dishes were still good...but not as good as in the past.

My boyfriend, his parents and I went there for dinner and from top to bottom were very happy with everything. I had the Italian Wedding soup, which was so delicious. My entree was the Four Cheese Tortellini. It was so good I kept eating until I hurt. My boyfriend and his mom had the Veal Francaise, which I also tried. I might get that next time it was so good and tender. His dad had the Veal Marsala. No one was able to try it because he finished it too quickly. We will definitely be back!

Nearly abandoned dining area 6:30 PM Sat. At arrival extra staff standing in the traffic pattern; movement from door to dining inconvenient. Extraneous young staff made un-inspired first impression. Reservation ignored by staff apparently triggering automated cancellation. After winding through staff and few guests, were seated in dimly-lit area (just-plain-dark not"romantic." The good stuff! Beverage service prompt, appetizer offerings interesting. The bruschetta was savory. Veal Oscar was flavorful; presentation unappetizing. Hot yeast rolls-billiard-ball sized and dripping with butter. Black/Blue chicken dish very good. Server attentive, pleasant, willing to recommend or suggest alternatives. Never rushed. On balance, enjoyable.

We were visiting from out of town and went with a large group. It took us a little while to adjust because in Illinois you can not smoke even at outdoor dining area's and we wanted to sit outside. The meal started out really well and the staff was very attentive. The waitress has help from a waiter that had been there for 20+ years and we got drinks and the orders were taken and recommendations for a Chicken with fussili noodles was very good. The Gnocchi, Linguini with Clams, Baked Ziti and basically everything we had was very good. Our disappointment was it took 20 minutes to get the check and 15 minutes for them to process the credit card.
