and Operated by Joseph Thomas, it has long been a favorite for locals.

Specializing in authentic Italian food, our menu features a full selection of antipasta, salads,

In addition to our extensive wine list, we also have a full service bar, offering a wide selection

of liquors, ports, and cognacs.

dining room. Choose from the finest imported meats, cheeses, olives, and homemade antipasti in our deli, or browse through our store, one of the few in Orlando to offer imported Italian specialty items.

After dinner, indulge in one of our many homemade desserts, including our own cannoli

and tiramisu, made fresh every day.

Diner Reviews
  • "The service we received was very personable and attentive. My server was great and we didn't have any problems but I noticed they did not work sections and it seemed as if they were running all over the restaurant. My partner had the chicken parm and said it was good. I had the Bucatinii Bianco. it was ok. The flavors were good but there was about a pound of bacon on top when I expected ribbons of prosciutto. There was also no sauce so it was a little dry. With a little tweaking this could have been an excellent dish because the flavors were good. The restaurant was clean with indoor and outdoor seating. Due to the casual nature I think this restaurant could be very family friendly."

  • "If your in the mood for Italian and don't have all day, try Cariera's. We had a reservation, got seated immediately, and were served without delay. The chicken was thinly sliced, breaded lightly, and fried to perfection. I look forward to returning to Orlando to try other dishes."

  • "Our server greated us with a smile and good attitude that both faded when he realized we weren't ordering drinks and didn't return until we ordered $23.00 worth of dessert. That was 2 cappuccinos and 2 desserts. When we return he will not be waiting on us. The soups, Eggplant Parmesan, and Chicken Picatta were delicious. The bread was only fair and had a butter- flavored herb spread slathered on the crust. Next time we'll ask for it to be toasted in the oven and served with a plate of olive oil. The cannoli was good but the cheese mixture had sambucca in it along with cinnamon. They are filled to order so the shell wasn't soggy. The wainscoting near our table could have used some cleaning as it had been splattered with tomato sauce."

  • "We had a great meal and better service (Thank you Natalia) on Wednesday night. All 4 of us had something completely different and they all came out perfect! We will go back next time in Orlando."

  • "A local establishment that has good food and good ambiance although the service was a bit off on my recent visit. An excellent and traditional Italian menu makes this establishment a solid choice in this very busy neighborhood. I recommend that you not miss it."

  • "The food was great. The service was poor. We saw the sever just a few times and had to ask other servers for the items we wanted."

  • "food was terrible and over priced for frozen food not fresh, any chain restaurant is better and cheaper."

  • "This is a very friendly restaurant located in a large mall. My issue is with the entree's. Choose your cooking style and select a meat, fish or chicken. served with a soup or salad as starter and a side of penne with a thick, rich tomato sauce. Starters were fine, the fish we had was drowned by the sauce and the pasta was cool. Too many different flavours with the pasta sauce being far too rich and heavy to go with a fish in a lemon sauce."

  • "The service was good but the food was forgettable. We started out our meal with Caprese and it was terribly salty. Not sure how they accomplished this considering it's just tomato and mozzarella but I digress. The house salad was limp and drowned in balsamic dressing. The Chicken Parm was overdone, salty, and drowned in Marinara sauce. The Black and Blue Chicken was by far the worst dish; it consisted of three 1/4 inch thick very burnt (they call blackend) boneless skinless chicken breasts that were so overdone my knife had a hard time cutting through them. If you are in the Dr. Phillips area and looking for a good Italian restaurant, don't go here!"

  • "My family traveled from all over the US to Orlando and we met for dinner at Careiras. It was the PERFECT venue for our evening. It offered something for everyone. It was not too loud which allowed for us to enjoy conversation. The service was alert and yet not overly attentive. The dinners were all made from scratch and yet came out at the same time and everyones meal was wonderful. We shared with each other and all agree we would go back and highly recommend this restaurant to family and friends."

  • "We both agreed that the Fried Ravioli was surprisingly good and the marinara sauce was perfect for that dish. My boyfriend raves about their Caesar Salad because the dressing is made in house and I think that the alfredo sauce is one of the best sauces in town. I ended up taking some of my meal home with me and it was just as delicious the next day. To finish the night, I ordered the Tiramisu; which blew me away. It was light, fluffy, and had the coffee liquor on the bottom. You could tell that it was made to order, which is very rare. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfectly timed."

  • "Careira's was very good as usual, we've been there many times since new ownership, but they need to clarify their wine list. Its great to hear that they are renovating their wine list, but in the mean time, they should create a list of what they do have so customers don't have to be told no 3 times. It would be pretty easy to create a list of what they have and reprint it every day or so as inventory changes. I'll go back again, but it may be a while."

  • "every time i visit orlando, I always come back. In the past i have had pizza, which is wonderful. This time we had pasta, and it was excellent. The desserts were wonderful too, and made in house. Small family owned and run business. Cozy attmoshere"

  • "FOOD--GO TO STONEWOOD GRILL AND COPY THEIR BRUSCHETTA. BREAD-- GET CIABATTA OR GIVE UP. PASTA--OVER COOKED PASTA SAUCE--FROM A CAN--A CHEAP CAN! CRUET (OLIVE OIL AND VINEGAR) USED IN THE GREAT DEPRESSION--CHEAP AND UGLY! SALAD--THE TYPE YOU CAN FIND IN DENNY'S. SOUP PLATE--CRAZY THE NEW OWNERS HAVE SCREWED UP THIS PLACE BIG TIME! IT IS UNLIKELY THAT TOM CAN BRING BACK THE CHARM AND GOOD FOOD IT HAD WHEN HE WAS OWNER."

  • "The quality of the experience has diminished since new owners made it theirs. There is hope for them to bring it back up. I wish them well. The noise level was low as there were very few customers."
