"So happy to have this restaurant in our neighborhood and we will frequent it if they pull it together a bit. The service was VERY slow; we weren't in a hurry and it was fine that the food was slow, but really no excuse for how long we had to wait for cocktails/wine both at the bar and at the table. Our friends were never served at the bar. Then, after long wait at the table after placing orders, a bartender then brought drinks one a time and was spilling martini all over the place. A tray perhaps? On the plus side to this, they do pour very generously! We were mostly all pleased with our meals. Lobster tail was a bit overcooked and chewy, but thats the only real complaint. The atmosphere is great and I really hope they work out the kinks."

"The wine list contained affordable good wines, the food is always consistent and of a good quality and taste.
The Lamb Shank I had was exceptionally good and the Halibut was again cooked to perfection.
The Service staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgable about the Menu."

"After reading many of the Open Table reviews we were excited to try this trattoria. Upon entering we were greeted by the owner who was very personalable and made us feel welcomed. The waite staff was equally friendly. We decided to start with the mussels which were perfectly prepared, but the broth lacked flavor. For entrees my wife selected the mushroom and spinach ravioli and I went with a traditional veal parmigiana. Ravioli was excellent, but veal parm disappointing. Our expectations were so high but the food didn't measure up to be considered an Italian gem."

"The food was well priced and excellent.However, the service was BELOW PAR.The waiters were young and not trained.If we wanted any drink refills or needed anything we had to flag them down to get it,including ordering dessert and getting our check.He never came to the table to check on us.It took an unusually long time to get the check and the receipt to sign.We made it simple by asking him to divide the check in half.No one seemed to be in charge. Often the waiters were hanging out by the kitchen where we would have to wave to get their attention.The person seated next to us ended up at the kitchen door trying to get his check.We were seated at 5:15 and left at 6:50,almost missing our play performance."

"Being Italian, we have a difficult time finding a truly Italian restaurant -- but not now thanks to Carbonara Trattoria!!! The menu and the recipes are as authentic as those prepared by our Italian family back in "the Old Country!" My is the spinach and ricotta ravioli in sage and butter - first tasted in a restaurant in Bellanno, Italy. My husband's is the seafood risotto. The service is outstanding, the staff is friendly and efficient and the quiet, sophisticated atmosphere is conducive to conversation. For us it doesn't get any better than Carbonara Trattoria!!!"
