All food was excellent, best empanadas ever! The person that i dined with kept saying that food was so good for at least a day after. The place was very noisy but at least you know that everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a Tuesday night, so it was a bit slow, which was great! We had one on one attention and our waitress was great! She made great recommendations and the food was excellent all around. The food is delicious, the service it great. We didn't have to wait long for our dishes and that's with the place being absolutely packed. The noise is a hit to deal with but it does not take away from the experience if enjoying your meal. The prices are perfect for every course. I had the fish tacos which were lightly breaded and not greasy at all. The guacamole was made tableside by our excellent waiter. It was delicious. I compared this restaurant to another well known restaurant on LI with high quality Mexican food. The food and Sangria were just as good but the prices are more reasonable. We requested a table by the bar so that we could watch the NY Ranger's game. Table was ready and waiting for us. Waiter immediately turned on the game and we couldn't be happier. Staff is friendly, attentive and food is great. In honor of my husband's birthday they gave us a dessert on the house and after dinner drinks. We visit Caracara at least once a month. The owners and the staff are always pleasant and gracious. The ambience is warm and inviting. The food is always great! The best we have ever had! The atmosphere is cozy with a really nice bar. I also like the high top side tables in the bar area. The noise level in the dining room is kind of high. Everything is made to order and very close to what we have when we visit Mexico every year. Table side guacamole is outstanding! Food is authentic, plentiful and flavorful every time. Service is a step ahead of everyone else. Detailed and friendly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience.
