We requested a table by the bar so that we could watch the NY Ranger's game. Table was ready and waiting for us. Waiter immediately turned on the game and we couldn't be happier. Staff is friendly, attentive and food is great. In honor of my husband's birthday they gave us a dessert on the house and after dinner drinks. We visit Caracara at least once a month. The owners and the staff are always pleasant and gracious. The ambience is warm and inviting. The food is always great! The best we have ever had! The atmosphere is cozy with a really nice bar. I also like the high top side tables in the bar area. The noise level in the dining room is kind of high. Everything is made to order and very close to what we have when we visit Mexico every year. Table side guacamole is outstanding! The food, the ambience and the service completely exceeded our expectations. Indeed, this may be the best Mexican restaurant on LI and definitely the best one on Open Table. Oh no, don't mention Besito, which is not a Mexican restaurant as its fusion offerings are bland, gross and inedible. That is not the case at Caracara. Food is authentic, plentiful and flavorful every time. Service is a step ahead of everyone else. Detailed and friendly. I would recommend to anyone looking for a great experience.
