  • "Made a birthday reservation, unfortunately the upstairs room was already booked. However the nice staff didn't turn us away, instead made some changes and arranged the downstairs for us. Unfortunately our group wanted to dance and listen to the music so we ended upstairs anyway. Our waitress followed us upstairs and was attentive to us. It got a little crowded at one point, but aside from that it was a good experience. I really enjoy the upstairs outside deck."

  • "location was chosen because of proximity to Paramount Theatre. there were plenty of inexpensive small plate food choices for non-vegetarians. Friendly, attentive waiter. Drinks were all about $10 each and not above average. The place had only 6 patrons on a Friday night between 6:30 and 7:45 pm. Perhaps it is more of a late night venue. It does have shabby chic ambience with more emphasis on the shabby rather than chic. Could use a thorough cleaning, reupholstering, window wash, etc. I am also hesitant when the dining/bar area looks so grubby, what does the kitchen look like. Next time, reserve ahead to a pre-show supper at something in Melrose Market ."

  • "My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner before a show. It was fabulous. We sat in the upstairs area, the music was a little too loud for my tastes, but not disruptive to the conversation. The atmosphere was great! Very warm and intimate. The ambiance even stood up to the slowly filling room. The house white was very yummy, and at $5 a glass for happy hour it was a great accompaniment for tapas. The service was fantastic. It was attentive without being smothering. Our drinks were always brought to us in a timely manner, even as the room filled up. The sauteed mushrooms were a little on the salty side, but the humus and the calamari were fabulous."

  • "Waitress was very attentive, but we were the only table in the front section. This would be an OK place to just grab a drink and a snack, but definitely not recommended for dinner."

  • "Please go to this place! AWESOME ambiance. The web site makes it look overly classy and uppity. It's not. It's nice, but also fairly casual. Good date spot or good hang out with a bunch of friends in Capitol Hill. Food is great! The only 2 reasons I'm going 4 instead of 5 for the food because the tapas menu is not very long (I'm used to tapas places with lots more choices) and the portobello 'shroom fries were, well, just kinda fries. I wasn't impressed with that one. Other than that, the other dishes I tasted were fantastic. I'm not a big calamari person, but those were good, man."
