  • "Had not been there in awhile and once again they did not disappoint. Once we got seated the servers were there with their dim sum carts. All the dim sum we ordered were really good, loved the BBQ pork pastry. We also ordered off the menu, BBQ pork fried was very tasty and not greasy, gourmet veggies were seasoned and cooked perfectly with a nice firmness to them. Definitely would recommend to people looking locally for authentic Chinese food."

  • "This experience was really great, had a few family members join us for my In laws B Day. The manager (Allen) gave us the seating I requested.from the start he treated us with respect & honored us as his special guests, very appreciated. My Wife & I had been there only once before & they remembered us as if we've Been going there for years. Even my Mother said; "Wow they all know you!" The Treatment was overall the greatest & everyone including my In Law enjoyed theirselves very much. Well be back thank you..."

  • "First of all, the restaurant is much too loud. You can't have a conversation with others sitting across from you or even hear yourself think. Because of the noise level and the heavy accents of the servers, you can't hear or understand what the servers are offering you. The food is not all that tasty. Most of the dumplings have odd fillings. There are not enough dim sum that just are filled with vegetables or chicken. Not everybody likes the large array of seafood. The staff is not very attentive if you need a drink or have some other request. If you just want to try a more unique experience, give it a try, but don't expect too much. It doesn't live up to your expectations."

  • "Normally I go for lunch and have the Dim Sum, it is excellent. I have now gone twice for dinner and it was a let down, the prices are too high and the flavor is not as good as Sam Woo's in Irvine. The Peking Duck did not have enough Crispy Skin and the $152 Fish was overcooked. In addition, I was told the fish would be 3 lbs. and got a 5.25 lbs. fish that was overcooked and too much food."

  • "I'm in business development, so a big part of my job involves having lunch with clients and contacts. Capital Seafood is always a great choice for lunch as there is no wait for food, the quality is excellent, the atmosphere is casual, and the dim sum experience is a nice change up from the normal sit down restaurant. And btw, the price is excellent too! The service at Capital Seafood is great! James & Allen (two of the brothers that own the chain) are excellent hosts. And if dim sum isn't what you're after at lunch, they have a terrific selection on their regular menu. The seafood chow mein is delicious and incredibly inexpensive ($11 dish can easily feed 2)!"

  • "This is our new favorite Dim Sum restaurant in So. Cal. I'll be back ! The pineapple buns are excellent."

  • "We've dined here 3 or 4 times and the food has always been excellent. A lot of choices (beef, poultry, seafood, veggie, duck) and great for sharing so you can try a few dishes. We always end up ordering too much and taking the leftovers home for lunch the next day. Corkage fee was not too bad at $15 per bottle. Friendly staff but a bit slow so we had to nudge the waiter a bit so we could make our movie (the restaurant was busy). Our party of 6 would dine here again."

  • "It was a very good dining choice. We have been looking for dim sum and found some good selections . The Peking Duck was very crisp and delish. The Filet Mignon cube were also very good."

  • "The food at this restaurant was horrendous. Almost everything we ordered came fried. It is very greasy and unhealthy. The service was terrible. The noise level was extremely loud. I would not recommend this place to anyone."

  • "This was a great experience. I went with a group of coworkers for a quick lunch. We even had some dim sum newbies with us and everyone enjoyed the food (especially the shu mai) With a reservation we were in and out in under an hour."

  • "My daughter selected your restaurant for her birthday dinner, but we didn't realize dim sum ends at 3pm and we had reservations at 6:30. Although we very much enjoyed the food. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent. We will return for dim sum one day soon."

  • "I feel that the location at Diamond Jamboree serves better food. I was surprised because I went in with high expectations and those expectations weren't quite met. I really like the design of the restaurant and it was wonderful that they had the lion dance performance for Chinese New Year. That made the experience wonderful. However, I would not drive to Spectrum again to eat there. I would prefer to go to Diamond location."

  • "We went with a group from our work. We had a reservation through Open Table. Immediately upon check in, we got our table. The hostess seated us, and the waiter came. Then all the Dim Sum carts were at our table asking us what would you like? We had to refrain ourselves because there're so many delicious items to try, and most we already knew. Everyone was friendly. We thought the waiter was pretty good. Because it was the New Year, it was quite busy. We had to ask someone to get something. Other than that, it was AWESOME!!!"

  • "Found out about this restaurant in a LA dim sum article and it was rated very well so we decided to give it a try. Other reviews suggested it was a bit pricier than some dim sums but our party of 4 thought it wss excellent, even though it was $70. We tried a number of dishes and all were great...servers were friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Great value! Try the walnut prawns and be sure to save room for the pineapple buns, best we've ever had."

  • "Second best Peking duck in Orange County, still can't beat China Moon. Other dishes make this a better stop than Sam Wu's. Perfect for going to the movies, would eat here again. Leaky teapots make messing all over the table clothes amusing. Courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service from table attendants, unusual for SoCal."

  • "My husband and I wanted something new and different this night out. Capital was an awesome choice. Everything was so delicious. The decor was nice, the staff attentive. It was quite upon our arrival but quickly livened up. Next time we must try the house special lobster. The shrimp rolls were simple but very tasty, I wanted 2nd's. Loved the filet beef cubes. It's kind of like an upscale PF Chang's, but nicer and tastier. We had a great dinner with left overs the next day for both of us to enjoy a full plate."

  • "We had several groups from our work here for Dim Sum during the week. We love using the open table reservation. We got in right away, and hostess was very friendly. The food just kept coming on carts. We were out of there within 40 - 45 minutes. Great place to have lunch or Dim Sum (Chinese Catonese style brunch). Plan to go back around the Chinese New Year! Can't wait!"

  • "We love coming here - and do so often. Ordered our favorites - won ton soup, honey walnut shrimp and filet mignon cubes. Portions are so huge that we had dinner at home the next night. Wish they had crispy noodles to go with the soup but the soup itself is so delicious. We will go again soon."

  • "The best Chinese food in Southern Orange County... Service is excellent and food is delicious."

  • "Overall the food is good however the selection is not that broad. The eclectic sections that some other places have seems thinned out here! They need to serve all the varieties that makes this interesting and fun!"

  • "I took my daughter here for New Year's Eve dinner. The food was fabulous. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it really is a Japanese experience to dine there. After eating we strolled the Spectrum which was very festive at night and close to the movie theater. A great place to enjoy an evening out. We will be back!"

  • "First visit was for an early NYE dinner. It was busy but not as crazy as expected. Ordered sake, waters, & an app to start. Sake came quick but we had to ask a couple of times for the water. The dim sum appetizer arrived shortly after & was very good with a nice variety of flavors. The entrees then arrived before we were finished with the appetizer. I had to ask 2 different waiters to remove our appetizer plates & bring clean plates for the entrees. I ordered the filet mignon cubes & my wife had the kung pao shrimp. Both were excellent. The food was good enough that I will adjust to the service issues. I'll be back."

  • "Food was good. Servings were generous. The service platters were nice, but very large; therefore, all the food we ordered did not fit on the lazy susan, which was fine for us, but can see how some parties may have an issue. Service was decent. Our last dish to come out was fried rice and since we didn't have space on the table, the server was nice enough to divide the rice into bowls for everyone. Came here for my dad's birthday and both my parents enjoyed the food."

  • "Our group has 7 and we go in for a lunch. I suggested the place and happy that I did. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The ambi ence is good. Not too loud, great for group. Lunch menu is Dim Sum which I do not know. I normally go here for dinner. Luckily it's quite easy to order food in this style. Food quality is good, everyone is happy with the food. But comparing to dinner menu, I prefer dinner dishes."

  • "My first time visiting this restaurant, ambient was great, restaurant was full but noise level was very low. Really liked the idea that restaurant manager was taking rounds greeting guests. My only complaint is that I was never offered a drink but once I got a waiters attention, I received my water very quick."

  • "Christmas Eve my husband and my son went to Capital Seafood for dinner wi a few friends. Our reservation was for six people. They gave us one of their private dining rooms. It was great because it was quiet and we were able to relax. The food was great. I loved the walnut shrimp and the filet mignon cubes. Our server Kelvin was so funny. He was fast and very attentive. His dining suggestions were great. It wS a great experience all around."

  • "We celebrated my friend's 90th birthday with six of our friends and it just great. The food, as always, was outstanding. The filet mignon cubes melt in your mouth and the sea bass in the clay pot is so tasty and different. We all feel we can't wait to come back. Even one gentleman who never really cares for chinese food ate from every dish we ordered and raved about it."
