Welcome to Capital's newest restaurant concept. Located in the heart of Orange County inside Irvine Spectrum. With much success in its other location in the Diamond Jamboree center, Capital decided to launch another location in the O.C. Capital is most known for its award winning dim sum and fresh… seafood selections. With over 100 dim sum selections to choose from daily and great fresh seafood offerings. Dim Sum favorites such as Sui Mai, Shrimp Har Gow and Baked B.B.Q. Buns are customer favorites to name a few. Live Seafood offerings from our 300 gallon tanks consist of Alaskan King Crab, Maine Lobsters, Dungeness Crab and Catch of the Day. This new concept offers a full bar with an outdoor patio dining experience. Reservations are suggested and offsite catering and private dining are available.Continued

"Went for dim sum lunch ... terrific!!! Fast and efficient service of all the "usual" dim sum dishes. We were a party of 7 and ordered virtually all the dishes - and each was prepared perfectly. Delicious dim sum. We kept ordering and eating - we could have easily been done in 45 minutes, but we lingered in conversation. Entire meal (with generous tip) was only $12 a person! Such a deal. Oh, and they (obviously) take reservations, which ARE needed for lunch. I will definitely be back! Great experience. Thanks."

"Reservation was for 2:30 pm. We arrived promptly & was told our reservation was cancelled because they had it as 1:30 & there was a 10-15 wait. I opened my confirmation e-mail to show that it was really for 2:30, but they were not apologetic and made it seem like it was our fault. They seemed very hesitant to admit that their system was at fault, and we still had to wait regardless of a reservation. Since we didn't get seated on time, we were limited to a very small selection of dim sum since it was too close to cut off time."

"I'm so glad I can go to a dim sum where waiters speak ENGLISH. It's so hard to order dim sum and discover what's inside if you guys can't understand each other. And the host goes around the restaurant and asks how your lunch is going...nice, nice, nice. And it's a relaxed, minimum noise atmosphere unlike regular dim sum restaurants, I can actually have decent conversation with my friends while eating :)"

"We've been searching for YEARS to find a dim sum restaurant in Orange County that could, at least, come close to even the most mediocre dim sum in San Francisco. What a great surprise to find Capital. They were not only good...they were fantastic. Their dim sum menu is somewhat limited (compared to the dim sum houses in SF), but there was still plenty to choose from. Their Har Gow and Rice Noodle Shrimp were actually better than that of Yank Sing in SF. The restaurant is also spotless. The kitchen is viewable from the dining room (fun to watch dim sum being made), and the servers couldn't be more attentive and cheerful (again, something hard to come by in a dim sum house). Loved it and can't wait to go back."
